And we are gradually, step by step, going back towards communism (as whole EU). I'm writing it just so you wouldn't have any doubts about ex-communist countries.

Certain things can vary depending on context. There are many cases of dictatorships calling themselves "republics," but they are merely misrepresenting an ideology.
