I note that there are dislikes listed to this. Surely, they are not really literate enough to be able to type into a keyboard to provide such comments!
@MeBenHalpin No problem, the original is better yeah but only because Sam Cooke was so incredible and amazing! I highly recommend you check out some of his stuff. This cover is nothing like the original really, it's combined with another song too to give it a completely different feel. I love Detroit Spinner, and I love Sam Cooke!
@emmakwall I love the Spinners my Dad used to have there greatest hits albulm, but we can't seem to find it and Cupid was the very last song on the CD, been trying find the full song on you tube, but to no avail.
Not too many of the original lineup left, only Henry Fambrough and i believe Bobby Smith but i could be wrong anyway Robbie Vincent and yours truly still reckon they were good specially in their Heyday...
the worst singing ive ever heard, shiteeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Are you from the UK, that you call 'em 'Detroit Spinners'? Anyway, they hit #4 in Billboard, 7-19-80. God bless ya, for postin' it. Thanx!

@emmakwall Yeah my Mum and Dad are great motown lovers so we've got most of those albulms, sound like you like that type of music too.

This song isn't complete without Pervis' deep "Nobody But Meee". But I'm glad to see the group is still going strong!
