i used to be 195 pounds and i had all the most creative excuses in the world NOT to diet and not to workout untill i finally relented and now i'm never going back. I work out a lot because i like it and i eat lots of proteins, very little to no sugar (replaced by Stevia, give it a look) and complex carbs (brown rice, whole foods, whole pasta), fish, chicken, turkey and i'm now i'm 175 pounds lean ;-)
