To hear more news about Double Fine sparks hope in my jaded, platformer bias heart that Psychonauts 2 may be looming on the horizon. Regarding the last question, there's now another example of what he was describing with the JC2 devs, that being Epic Games, who are going from developing the Gears of War series to Fortnite, which from what we've been shown seems to be like an Orcs Must Die/Minecraft/Left 4 Dead sort of cross, downloadable XBLA title. I only use my ps3 for streaming tv now =I and my xbox 360 is in a compartment under my desk, dissembled. As for my Wii, well its still in the box. I never felt the need to open it after I played my friends. My computer, on the other hand, I'm on 24/7!

I didn't realize Trackmania was mostly played on keyboard. I've actually tried the free version of Trackmania Nations to see how I like the format before buying T2 and I've been playing pretty exclusively with a crappy old Saitek controller. That said, the only reason Trackmania even appeals to me at all is because I wanted a game that captures even a fraction of the fun that I had with FZeroGX.

My friend bought a Wii thinking it was the answer to his prayers, he was dissapointed in the end.

The thing I got from my research is that people either want the perfect version of things or not at all.

For example: The movie "Gamer" was the 'perfect' version.

Computers are something that cannot and will not leave this world, because there are constant advancements to the perfect version.

I think we should just plug our brains into games and die happy.

As a QA tester I'm very aware of how a release date will shoot a game in the foot. They set a release date very early on, the development gets behind on the game leaving the testers less time to test and since people get so pissed at a game for moving its release date they are not willing to do that.

Dead Island Is an Awesome game. The game is very playable now and since I didn't get the game untill about 4-5 days after release, had no problems at all. I love the game myself.

@Darkforgejoe I'm not sure why he'd want to do that. For FPS games like CoD he prefers his computer anyway because of the superior hardware. Otherwise he just plugs console controllers into his computer. He only plays his consoles when there's interesting exclusives, I think.

I don't think the problem is that developers dont care about PC games, think about it logically. The problem is that all PC's have different hardware. Billions of combinations of hardware and software. On a console, however, you've got hardware and software that is universally the same on every machine. Guess which is easier to fix for everyone.

@HuwReesMusic But I also agree, they shouldn't be allowed to get away with that just because its on the PC platform. I've got a gut feeling it was a big mix up with files and somehow canned the appropriate one (which is why they're taking so long to fix it, albeit consumers have a copy and they can't just re-release a download). I think its just the patience in me that is abiding by it, taking the developers at their word that they'll fix it ASAP. Extra content would be nice for those affected!

@HuwReesMusic Indeed, their reputation has been soiled due to this major error, but I think they're trying to do well by the consumer on constantly working on the patch. I'm still not too sure how it all happened, what with the PC digital download being the developer's copy (which is still not a viable excuse, they released an unfinished game, they should at least refund a portion of the purchase to the PC users), but they are doing their best to remedy the issue.
