O yeah and if you want to talk about 2.0 Honda do your home work because 2.0l is a Honda b20 not and I stress that not a b16 also its non v-tec I have done masive builds and cr-crevice builds you like throwing money cool have dunn spinning your bearings on first miss shift
Hahahahaha wow some Honda guru's got nerve lol I use to drive a Honda civic 91 sedan ys1 Japan tranny and an all mottor b16a2 running almost 300whp know I am back with my 2000 cavi stock no rebuild pushing 250 some thousand miles still running strong wanting to convert to stick shift and ecotec any advice
i heard that the bell housing on the tranny is different on a non-ecotec than an ecotec tranny. is this true? because i have a non-ecotec cav that i want to put an ecotec into. from what i understand the mounts are the same but i would have to get the tranny with the ecotec.
Nice I like this vid man seeing all the work done,I'm rebuilding my engine soon it's gonna cost like 8 grand though so I'm waiting a little bit.Wow alot of people don't know alot about cars on here that make comments, what's the word ignorant lol...Keep it up man,and is this a sleeper car or are you doing cosmetic work to it?
Wow...your car is only 2500lbs? Mine is about 2599 w/ out me. That could explain a few differences at this point w/ my 05 cav....personally I'm getting sick of FWD though...I miss my rotaries.. :-(
and whats a hatchback's curb weight? I'm sure its a lot less than 2500lbs isn't it?
I've weighed my car and thats the actual weight without me in it. so it's a little tougher to go low 14s with a 400-600lbs weight difference. just some common sense ;)
nice vid dude..i use to have a 95 escort gt..very well maintained with low mileage and i use to never have a problem taking most civics and preludes till i was at the local racing hot spot and got dumped hard by a auto twin cam sunfire lol about a month after that i swapped in a KLZE 2.5L and i ran mid 13's allday..sadly enough had to sell it b4 i got deployed. i have a friend selling a 98 z24 and im about to buy it.
the LNK/LN6 1.8l engine gm borrowed from toyota is what i was confusing the eco with. they didn't even get close to being put in cavys, they were for the vibe only - which essentially is a toyota matrix i'm sure you know this all and i apologise for the aggravation maybe instead of assuming with the jbodies, i'll stick to my knowledge of good ol' LT1 and the infamous LS1 and LS2 engines in the vette which by the way pair up very nice with the *OPEL* developed solstice
the best site for ur 2.3L motor that there is. notice there is a section just for cavalier individually while the others have the car makes. enjoy. :)

ecotec is the best i have
b1jhap89 4 years ago
what about the ecu does it need to be reflashed? or does it accept the eco?
blustrk 4 years ago
needs to be an ecotec ecu for the transmission you are using. 5speed or auto.
