Thank God I didn't get stuck in a rock when I was in Utah. A lot of shows and movies are about survival now and they always take place in Utah and some one always looses a limb.

I have watched the movie and some of the footage that was actually taken by Aron Ralston himself. It is extremely gruesome but this guy did what it takes to survive in any situation. Either die together as one piece, or live with one piece missing.

I don't feel sorry for him, I envy him. He may have lost an arm but think of what he gained in return. His love for life is something we could not match. It's something we all take for granted. Just saw the movie the other day, and my goodness he's really strong person to have lasted 127 without food, and very little water. I consider myself a pretty strong person mentally and emotionally, but physically I'm not as strong and going without nourishment and rest for that long no way and on top of that having to cut an arm off to be free of the rock trap H.. NO I would have been a goner.

Yes, he is tough. Would I do the same ? I'm pretty sure that yes, I would. If not for myself, then for my parents. Thought that their only child died because of his stupidity would kill them. I love and respect them to much to let it happen.

And that's much about what he says.
