you dont need sound to undertand, in the camera line he puts flat 3d objets, one over an other and then he render it and there is the 2d image, if you make a character you can rigit and make the 2d animation.

why don't you use gimp? it's easer, if you just wanna make a 2D-Animation..

I use Gimp, but I don't how to create 2D animation with Gimp.

this is exactly what i wanted to use blender for in the first place. excellent video, looks fun. "slow down professor!" is what first comes to mind- i've watched this video a few times throughout learning blender. the more i learn, the more this vid makes sense. im sure i'll figure it all out in the end. - good work.
