These graphics are realy well done for a pre-alpha build! Awesome rain effects. And people, since this game is still in development, you can't expect a 100% simulation. This gameplay is in arcade mode. It's just a demonstration of how the game will look.

First of all, the full game is out in September 2010, so it will have all the 2010 teams, drivers, cars and tracks. The damage system is turned off and is arcadey because theyre previewing the game, meaning if it was on full sim mode, they would always crash, not really be able to handle the car and some people may not like it. What i do like about it is the fact that other drivers spin and collide, also the driver animations (celebrating with arm). Graphics though are second to none! Stunning!!

Wow I hope theres a lot of changes coming. I mean what the hell, you can drive into cars like a madman and no damage? Also levels of grip is totally messed up. I mean look how much speed hes carrying through corners....in wet mind you :O.

Also the gravel trap is meant to slow you down not to give you extra speed. rFactor is the best if you are into real racing simulators ;)

@Orges100 how the F is rFactor good for F1... never in my life will this be true... the physics would have to be re-written to be anything near the real thing.... did you ever watch a F1 race? I don't see f1 cars drifting trough corners ! the grip of the tyres is so wrong I want to hit little kitties whenever I try playing it ! try the F1 anatolian 99-02 with pro-mode 2009 on ... thats what real F1 racing simulator is!

@zizikelizike hey mate which mod are you playing. Theres a lot but the one I play certainly doesn't drift through corners. (with aids off). And yes I do agree that some physics need to be changed on the game......but one thing is for sure that it is much more realistic than f1 99-02 game you saying. Ask experts on that ;)

Visually stunning. The physics do look a bit arcadish--especially for wet weather driving. There appear to be few consequences for bad driving. It could just be that way for the demo. Also, I hope the damage model was turned off for this demo, or, this game will be dissapointing. There's no way you should be able to drive just like Mark Webber and get away with no damage. ;)

Cant wait to see if theres an online mode, ive been watching formula one since the tender age of 4 and havnt missed a series since.

Having done so, pretty much know the insides and outs of every single track haha, hopefully will be racking up the championship points in no time.

Im deffinately pre-ordering this, aswell as splinter cell conviction, both look amazing.

@ChrisWilliamFrith knowing codemasters theyll include one of the best online experiences on the pc platform. and u knowing the tracks inside out, i guess i wont be coming first everytime then..^^

@xdemon123 haha well you never know man, just have a look at the tracks before you start the race and get the breaking points sorted, and make sure you pinpoint atleast 3-4 overtaking spots for each lap, youll be fine.

Game look quality, and ur right the rain drops on the helmet makes you feel like your actually there lol.

I heared you can team up with a friend online, so you and your mate can be driving for one F1 team, for example both racing for Mclaren, would be pretty sick.

There have been a number of videos regarding this game on the xbox live dashboard, one of them was an interview with the game developers and they pretty much said the same words as i have, the fact that you can stroll around the paddock doing interviews and making it feel like more of a realism in racing games.

Rfactor is maybe good only with original cars. Rfactor is popular only becous moding and not becous is so good in simulating cars. Some mods has nothing to do with real feel for handling the cars. Ok maybe is rfactor primary not make for F1, but when some noob say that rfactor ist best simulator for F1, make me smile. How can you make good simulation in one year? Dont be stupid. Just see how long LFS developers develop their own game and is stil in alpha version.

read the preview at simracingworld. its in arcade mode for journelists to play and downforce not in. even now if you push to hard exiting corners you will spin and if you go of the drying line you will feel your car aquaplaning. its in arade MODE its optional loads of more relistic features to choose in full game.
