Why wasn't he just using 'Chartpak' Markers? It would have taken him 1/2 the time! AND they won't run out as quickly. All of his markers were running out left & right. :P
I agree with Subwaysurfer. This guy needs to take a lesson in P.R. Skills (Personal Relations). A smile added with kindness - doesn't take much effort on anyone's behalf.
At the end of the day this is just MY take on a youtube clip. I could be wrong and reading this wrong. But again, Im arguing from the perspective of a person who draws for a living in public also. Your fans put you where you are. You are enjoying a level of status and income because of them. You need to be disciplined. That goes for Bruce, Me, and anyone else who is a public figure.
Bruce is using cheap markers! LOL! a sharpie and a el mark, looks like. no disrespect to Tim, he's a fantastic artist, and having been where he is on that side of the table, I understand being tired, but when your fans stand in lines hours just to get something from you that costs a lot, you need to flash that smile, and kick up the enthusiasm. You are where you are BECAUSE of the fans. PERIOD.
@LongJonBronze I NEVER said he was a DOUCH, nor is that a term I'd apply to ANYONE it's insulting and unnecessary a.. If you are a public figure, you need to be careful and realize you are always being watched and evaluated on some level. Im a professional artist myself and so I know what Tim is going through better than most. But its because I HAVE been there myself that im arguing from an INFORMED perspective. if you're person number one, or one thousand it makes no difference.
@TheSubwaysurfer while i still disagree (slightly with what you said thank you for replying, i can tell you are a smart professional person, but in full honesty i like when big people like Bruce Timm do this, there being real people, but not being mean or selfish, but that's just my opinion, but i think we can both agree that Bruce Timm is awsome
@LongJonBronze Long John, THATS a response I can appreciate! thank you so much for NOT doing what som many people do, and "blasting me for having an opinion!LOL! you are correct. We can BOTH agree that Bruce is awesome. He certainly has influenced my art tremedously.
@LongJonBronze Ummm who are like "really big people"? I find it disturbing when just average people make other people into "really big people". And then it's "like" amazing when really big people just act like normal people. Like...to see Patrick Stewart order a double latte? That would be awesome. "Make it so", he says....and then like this really hot like alien chick would come in and she had these really big......oopps sorry, I got to go my mom came home.
wow, I've been drawing for as long as I can remember, but he did that in 5 minutes...wow...I never understood how the comic artist/animators can get such a perfect line.
@AlexAV88 Bruce was out of paper, his markers were pretty much empty, and he was very tired. He was asked if the guy got a piece of paper if he could get a sketch.

Bruce Timm is the inspiration for what I want to do with my life.
I, too, want to become an animator/artist. I've watched his work since I was like 6.
