  • "Get outta here before I give you a FUCKIN SLAP!!!" greatest line ever.

  • Such a powerful scene

  • sonny and and Cs dad hate each other but sonny would never kill Cs dad because he loves C like a son.

  • I swear my father is like this its scary lol and im like C always stuck between bad choices i usually make good ones though thanks to my father

  • sad thing is... today there's not enough deniro type fathers out here... because everyday i see kids trying to live there life to be like sonny instead of lorenzo...a working man a.k.a. the real tough guy

  • 1:40 halarious

  • De niro is the man that movie is the amazing movie i se in my life

  • The working man is the tough guy!! Your father is the tough guy!!

  • GREAT ACTORS GREAT DIRECTOR GREAT STORY GREAT MOVIE!

  • I offered you a job and you REFUSED. That's right and I REFUSE now. I'm pretty sure in the movie they say refuse instead of said no.

  • iand talking to sonny like that was stupid not brave..sonny could have killed him and then where would his son c be?..huh?..theres a diffrence between being brave and being stupid

  • @fear0fthedark2000 that was being brave. He had to stick up for himself and he did. sonny was wrong and he told him.

  • @fear0fthedark2000 that was being smart... he knew sonny wouldn't kill him when his son is right there..

  • i dont care what anyone says..sonny was good to c and he gave him good advice..he never told c to do bad things

  • This was MY daddy! :-) A real fuckin' man, willing to lay it ALL on the line for his son. If I had yelled at my father like that when *I* was nine I'd be wearing DENTURES today.

  • Shaq isnt going to pay your rent. lol

  • @yojoflo Damn. You're intelligent.

  • this part gets me everytime idk whether to laugh or cry

  • 1:05 even though that's too much for a kid it's still 10000000% true...fuck idolizing celebrities they wouldn't spare you a dime on the street

  • DeNiro was letting him know him, his family, and his pride and dignity couldnt be bought. DeNiro wasnt a gangster in this movie, but he was as much of a stand-up guy and a real tough guy than any of the gangsters. Everyone is saying they cant believe DeNiro played a "straight-edge" guy so good, but thats what he does, plays the part. Hes a great actor. He can play any role. He dont have to be a gangster in every movie, but he sure does play the best gangster. Hes a stand-up guy in real life.

  • he,s the best father after charles ingalls

  • Best 'Dad' scene ever!

  • What a good father

  • It's amazing how he can manage to comlpetely shed his gangster image just 2 years after playing one of his most well known gangster roles. De Niro is the man!

  • "Let him get up day after day and work for a living. Then we'll see who's the tough guy!"

    Real talk.

  • @AgApE010

    so true

  • i woud do the same thing -.- deniro is real man

  • Greatest Dad ever. Fuck them gangsters.

  • Get outta here before I give you a fuckin slap

  • beautiful scene makes me tear cuz it reminds me of my pop dukes.

  • A GREAT scene. Regardless of who you think is right or wrong it's an amazing scene. I'm not even sure, I can see both sides about how you want to stay away from dirty money but on the other hand the kid earned it by brining people drinks and helping throw the dice it's not like he was out selling crack or something. DeNiro is great he can play an evil psycho like Jimmy Conway in Goodfellas or a great guy like Lorenzo here or the priest in "Sleepers"...Calogerol pissed me off...

  • What a classic scene

  • Workin' hard may not get you to riches in a hurry.. but if you're always a stand up guy, do your job.. You'll have earned more wealth than any drug dealer or thug on the planet.

I really need to say thank you to my father more often.

  • DAD LISTEN TO MEEEH!!! "slap"

  • I don't care what anybody says, Lorenzo vs. Sonny, in a legit fight: Lorenzo would have mopped the floor with Sonny.

  • the shit

  • This scene reminds of in hindsight...of the departed how Jack Nicholsons character tells leo's how his father if he knew he was in the business would come and kill him and everyone else...and he could do it. Lorenzo was like that in this movie. He was a stand up guy who while he wasn't going to make waves...if you fuck with his family?...hell if he and Sonny fought right then with no interference I would have put my money on Lorenzo...you don't fuck with a mans family.

  • The bad money has spread. It is now everywhere. There is no good money any more. When the government rewards the makers of bad money openly we are in big trouble.

  • Its tough seeing Deniro be the bitch in a scene

  • At under 3 minutes this scene has more meaning than many entire films.

  • @MarkArandjus You are so right! Great comment

  • I agree...people that don't want to earn an honest living are cowards.

  • Dark video.

  • de niro should have fucked them over.

  • @guez999 "You talkin to me? I don't see knowone else here" lol

  • It takes a pair of balls to stand up to Sonny like that. Deniro is the fucking man.

  • @xDeathshardx its a movie

  • @xDeathshardx ok lol its part of the script its not a true story.

  • Get out of here before I give you a fucking slap!

  • @Slavland88 i found that line to be very voilent

  • Fantastic acting from DeNiro in this scene. First the rage(The workingman's the tough guy, you're father's the tough guy) then it switches to tenderness(It's not the same thing, people don't love him, they fear him).

  • non phixion

  • THE WORKING MAN IS THE TOUGH GUY YA BUNCHA PUSSIES!!

  • i side with deniro on this one

  • thats littel Tony Soprano. from his flash backs

  • Lorenzo was right..."The working man is the tough guy"

I know a lot of mafia / cartel bosses like to suck in and corrupt young minds but in this case Sonny was alright, despite his corrupt life ..he always had a special feeling for cee w/good intentions and always tried to keep him out of trouble...on top of that i think deep down he had respect for lorenzo aswell.

  • @Tusc9969 your rite. sonny never wanted the mafia life for cee, he was just teaching him street smarts. he did have good intentions. if it came down to it, sonny would have taken a bullet for cee. he was sonnys son he never had so ya

  • he was right actually

  • Probably the most appropriate slap in cinema history.

  • get outta here before i give you a slap.hahahah

  • @habs4evs .... proud of what??? being scum bags and a theif!!!

you should be proud of what rome gave to the world not these type of scumbags

  • @habs4evs scarface is cuban dumbass

  • @habs4evs

LMFAO...are you fucking serious...have you seen SCARFACE...did you not realize the beginning scene when he COMES FROM CUBA...that maybe he might not be italian...lmfao. Scarface has NOTHING TO DO WITH ITALIANS you fool. That is about cuba and latin america gangsters lol.

  • @BarstoolBlues33 omg his comment made me laugh so much! lmfao!!!

  • @BarstoolBlues33

Actually, the original Scarface was in fact about the Italian mafia, hence the title, Scarface was Al Capone's nickname, and he served as inspiration for the main character. Brian De Palma would go on to remake the film many years later, giving it a Cuban spin.

  • @Gigolo350 Well Oliver Stone wrote it so surely he was responsible for any changes in the script.

  • @habs4evs scarface is cuban the fact that you've watched that movie and weren't able to tell that he wasn't italian makes me question if you have a brain your gay goodnight

  • @habs4evs Your acting like your fucking representing Pesci you fucking idiot. Pesci isnt a nigger, stop acting like he is.

  • ---Lorenzo Anello---

"People don't love him.......They fear him. There is a difference."

  • WORKING MAN IS THE STRONG GUY!

  • What happened to Robert De Niro's wife when C grew up, I realized she was never shown again

  • @561buRnz407

she became a rodeo clown and years later a chairperson on the Italian woman's rodeo clown association board or IWRCA

  • @bigdickswagger

best thing i have read on internet

  • the working man is the tough guy.

  • such an underrated movie. Another DeNiro classic, his performance was awesome as well. Lorenzo was right in what he said about Sonny. Sonny was an okay guy, but he had 'wasted his talent'. Classic scene that always brings tears to my eyes.

  • Sonny is right the working man is a suckah!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • Sonny is right the working man is a SUCKAH!!!

  • @ShadeDizzle depends what kinda work "dizzle"...not everyone has to drive a bus or work in warehouses..those people really do deserve the best....people who think are hustlers are the biggest douchebags on earth..

  • 1:28 lol! you will hear those 5 words in almost any mob movie. its hilarious.

  • get out of here before i give you a slap!!

  • You dont Fool a mans family

  • best scene and my favorite too

  • Reminiscent of Bronson's scene in "THE MAGNIFICENT SEVEN". Kudos to previous comments recognizing REAL

    courage! Bravo!

  • get out of here b4 i give ya a fucking SLAP!! lol for some reason that was just really funny

  • Now that is a real man, not a boy pretendng to be a man. A+ for Robert denero's character

  • The father was very brave for standing he's grown with Sonny cause he could've gotten killed. I like that cause you got to be willing to die for your believes.

  • @poet2great i dont think sonny wouldve done that he respects the kid too much to kill his dad

  • @44eelz You got a point, Sonny respects the kid fot not snitching on him and his crew. But Sonny dosen't respect any one who disrespects him,so he will kill them He was holding back only because he respects the son, he was getting ready to get in his killer mode. Your right though, he does have a high level of respect for the kid.

  • mickey mantel will never pay my rent! LOL its worth 1000

  • Amazing scene.

  • get outta here b4 i give u a fuckin slap lol 1:10 Sonny gets soo happy and look at jimmy lik good job sonny hahaha classic and jimmy looks exactly like my uncle Carmine lol

  • I woulda kept the money

  • lozmac i dont think they have location tours but i think most of the movie is shot in astoria and this is a great movie love it

  • Get outta here b4 I give ya a fuckin slap haha class line!!!

  • the lead character is like anyone in real life - They don't respect him, they fear him, until they get fed up with that then they all turn on him and get rid of him. And that kind of life is supposed to be glamorous, always looking over your shoulder? No thanks

  • It's all a Machiavellian metaphor

  • Interesting take on it

  • I kind of see it all relating to Machiavelli's advice in Il Principe (The Prince) about being feared or loved and that it is better to be feared as long as you don't become hated in the process

  • Yes thats true however royalty can win the approval of their people and have lasting reigns, e.g. Classic example the King of Thailand, 60yrs and loved by all, the guy is basically a god to his people. However crime figures will always have those who hate them as they would've fucked somebody over to get to where they are, no?

  • GANGSTA RAP - NON PHIXION

  • Some balls! I just love this film. Hoping to go to NYC next year, do they do film location tours does anybody know?

  • sonny and lorenzo are both tryna do the right thing and i respect both of them.. THEY MAKE THEY'RE PEACE IN THE END THATS ALL THAT MATTERS... GREAT SCENE!!

  • he's right.. mobsters/gangsters/triads, are losers... can get honest money for shit... the working man is the greatest... maybe the pay sucks... but hey, God loves ya, ya family safe and most of all, your chances of dying of old age is slightly higher...

  • @YashwehOfNazareth It's more than that. The working man is what keeps the gangster's world turning. Without the workers there would be no sky-scrapers. There would be no bridges and tunnels and roads. There would be no food to eat, no fancy cars to drive around in, no electricity powering the houses. Without the working class, the earth collapses. Hard work, strength, perseverance are what built everything great on earth.

  • @YashwehOfNazareth

ok so what if, just asking what if there is no GOD? than what?

love is equally shared by all people, besides the deranged. im sure there are killers who's family loved them.

dying of an old age is your goal? shitting in diapers, being put in a nursing home by you children, and watching your friends expire is not a well thought out plan IMO.

and your left with pay, nothing to leave your family, taxed to death and you worked till age 70....gee great life

  • @bigdickswagger ehh. It beats the hell out of doing the criminal life.

  • It's because of the working man that "all this" as we see it is possible.

  • @YashwehOfNazareth "yashwehofNazareth, you shut your fucking mouth, your name shows me that your a pussy

  • @YashwehOfNazareth your very true and right.

  • @YashwehOfNazareth But then, people step on you. You get treated like some random douche on the street, you walk into a restaraunt? Some random guy just slams the door in your face on 'accident'

Mobster? He holds it for you, then dusts your fucking shoes off.

  • @YashwehOfNazareth Plus most Gangsters are RATS ANYWAY.

  • @YashwehOfNazareth What if there is no god. And depending on how powerful you are your family can even be safer. In my opinion the real mobsters are defiantly winners, money is everything next to women and good health.

  • this is filmed in astoria ny thats 30th ave

  • Have you noticed that everybody who's ever been in one of those "Italian mob" films with DeNiro has made appearances in THE SOPRANOS. Cee's mom played Artie Bucco's wife.

  • robert deniro reminds me so much of my dad

  • me too bro!! i respect robert to da max

  • @alex08648 me too! =')

  • stand up guy.

  • Lorenzo has balls. I would respect him more than I would Sonny..

  • Lorenzo is a stand up guy. To go down there and talk to the Capo of the neighborhood like that was definitely risky.

  • No choice when its your son at stake.

  • Sonny ain't ya Friend.

  • Sonny ain't ya Friend.

  • 1:48 - good point

  • Best scene

Lurenzo: He's ain't your son. It's my son.

    Sonny: He's what?
