  • There are a couple of points: First, the volume of pollutants spewed by volcanoes in Earth's history dwarfs the minuscule amount generated by human activity. That said, a much better job needs to be done to contain coal byproducts and enforce the law. Second, nuclear energy provides the most concentrated energy available, produces no CO2, and the waste is more compact than any other source. Why is there such resistance to it, especially from the left?
