Blackmore´s Night took money for the cancelled concert in Svihov castle.
Two weeks the promoter tried to contact BN to agree on compensation of the concert to their fans. Using the tickets from Svihov for the next concert was suggested. BN manager didn´t respond to e-mails and ignored phone calls although the full payment for the concert had been on BN bank account and all advance invoices of the providers´ had been paid.
I absolutely love this group and her voice..but i still enjoy the original more. Candice is a very controlled singer it seems, the original from Renaissance was so..just passionate. I don't think this singer can match up to that...but that could be just me

@BEE91293 In my opinion the difference (or some of it at any rate) is that there are many influences blended together in BN's music as opposed to how the music would have actually been severaly hundred years ago. I hear Baroque and Classical as well as rock and folk and some Irish/Keltic.
Very good cover with the guitar taking the lead role instead of the keyboard, but not as good as the Renaissance version on Live at Carnegie Hall, which is simply beyond compare.

The Inner Sleeve states "Thanks to Annie Haslam for introducing us to this song". Cover it may be but it's nice to hear another version of a fantastic track from the past.
