NIce job, but why not put your own name on it? In fact, the vocalist AND the players all deserve a mention.
Most of us already KNOW that this is a Hank Williams song, and can tell that this ain't him. You don't need to put his name in your filename/title; tell us who YOU all are.
@PurpleHouse2658 There are several hit versions of this song not only by Hank himself, but also notable singers like Ray Charles and Elvis Presley. This is a cover of the Hank Williams Sr original version, and the title is meant to indicate that. There was no intention to trade off his name. No one in their right mind would make that mistake. The performer credits are shown in the last slide of the video.
@rehtafsedaj777 seems like you can't take a hint. making a new profile and posting hate comments ain't gonna get you anywhere either. just grow up and be a man, if that's not asking too much.
@rehtafsedaj777@rehtafsetah: some words of advice - say what you mean and mean what you say. If you can't do either, just leave the stage. The world's a better place without haters.
I enjoyed your rendition of this song. I do cover of Jim Reeves, Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra. If you like, have a look at Youtube channel lloydhorlick!
When I discovered Hank he already had passed away, but he remained in my heart forever, now I discovered you tube, I really enjoy listening to his songs, especially this one, I sing along. I remeber almost all the words, although I was almost a child then. Beautiful, thank you so much

I learned how to play guitar with the help of the song folios pictured at 1:04, 1:15 and 1:39. My mom attempted to learn guitar when she was younger but lost interest. When I was 13, I found the books in a trunk when we moved to a new home. That Christmas I received a guitar as a gift, and a friend's father taught me how to tune it. I taught myself how to play with the books, and my mom had every single Hank Williams record that was in them so I knew what they were supposed to sound like.
@Pequinito Thanks! Those pics of the covers to the folios just brought me back to being 13 and learning how to play guitar. I've been playing ever since, although my playing tends to lean toward Rock and Blues.
Name all the great country singers/writers...and I mean ALL OF THEM. Then put them in line behind this man 'cause he is the greatest that ever lived my friends.
@CurlyHairChris Hank was a complex person as all geniuses are, and there's no simple answer. Quoting Wikipedia: "He was born with a mild undiagnosed case of spina bifida occulta, a disorder of the spinal column, which gave him lifelong pain, a factor in his later reliance on drugs and alcohol...On January 1, 1953, he was due to play at a New Year's Day concert in Canton, Ohio...apparently had injected himself with some pain-killers...the official cause of death was heart failure..."
I love this song! It's my childhood song, and I have always wanted to hear this song over again! I'm trying to find the orginal cd! Anyone know? Email me at xbam09x@aol.com..Thanks!
yours is the loveliest tribute to Hank on the internet, possibly...your cover version is killer and as real as Hank. Cheers,..to keeping a bright flame burning...:-)
My top ten favorite singers of all time: 1. Johnny Cash 2. Elvis Presley 3. Ricky Nelson 4. Carl Perkins 5. Jerry Lee Lewis 6. Roy Orbison 7. Buddy Holly 8. Conway Twitty 9. Charlie Rich 10. Willie Nelson
I grew up singing this song from the time I could speak, and anyone who knows Hank Williams' music will tell you this is not Hank Williams singing this version.
I like" Your Cheating Heart" and" I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry", but in my personal unbias opinion,"May You Never Be Alone Like ME" has to be the "Saddest " song Hank ever wrote and sang.
if you mean the lyrics, they are printed in the panel alongside (click on more info)...if you mean the captions to the slides, let me know and i'll add them below the lyrics :)
Love this song!
