because your ancestors were bad means you will be bad. and why can't you turn into an angel by yourself. can't black people think for themselves and make their own decisions and not be influenced by everything everybody else does. if my parents are bad, it does not mean i will be bad. i can analyze how their morals and values are viewed in a modern society and if it is unaccpetable, i can make a choice to not be like them.

Jamaica is the product of the economic policies of the worlds super powers, as realized through the IMF, the WTO, the World Bank, the Pan American bank, etc. People dont understand that the life of privilege you lead is at the expense of someone else further down the economic food chain. But its so much easier to point the finger and blame those less fortunate than you, rather than to take a look in the mirror and see what part your own short comings play in a corrupted system of class.

I'm sorry, but you have no fucking idea what you are talking about. The following countries are all MUCH MUCH POORER than Jamaica, EVEN MORE devastated by global capitalist policies, yet all with overall homicide rates less than a tenth that of Jamaica:
Indonesia, Vietnam, Malaysia, Bangladesh, Bolivia, Yemen, Costa Rica, Dominica, Uruguay, etc.
This is a cultural issue, not a poverty issue. Russia is rich, yet also has a massive murder rate due to entrenched gang violence in society.

Flinging insults doesn't help your argument. Obviously every people's history and culture is different, so they react differently to internal and external pressures. You may benefit from educating yourself further about the history of the caribbean before continuing to espouse a viewpoint that seems prejudiced. I recommend Capitalism and Slavery by Dr. Eric Williams as a starting point.

i am not talking about every black person but i am talking about a great deal. even some of my friends in trinidad who are black say that these people are a disgrace to their race and that the black race has gone to the dogs. it is not just me but black people who are not ignorant that say this as well.
