Fun trivia: The redheaded member of Oscar Drill and the Bits is played by a different actress in this scene. They filmed this first, then ended up recasting the part, and someone else played her in the rest of the scenes.

So in this song, she's singing about how she's looking for trade - as in, she wants a successful career. At the same time, she's critical of her new character, and is also singing about how pitiful it is.
