@samurikid111 - the video is pointing to more recent research which suggests that the dodo was not as large as it has been depicted in both stuffed specimens and paintings / sketches
The dodo was meant to die out. Most flightless bird species are either extinct or the are in the process of being extinct. The only reason the chicken hasn't died out is because we domesticated it
They have gone in and recreated the quagga in South Africa. They are in the process of recreating the auroch in Europe. What is the possibility of recreating the dodo from a combination of museum specimens and back breeding with Nicobar pigeons?
You can find out more about the dodo and why it became extinct at the Museum of Mystery website. Select the 'What happened to the dinosaurs?' mystery and then select item 3 under the 'Investigate' tab. YouTube won't let us supply the direct web address for this page (sorry). We hope that you enjoy the website
How does this answer the question in the title, though? I've heard theories elsewhere about their extinction, but it'd be nice to see some on Youtube too.
@DrMadolite Please see our response above. I'm afraid YouTube won't let us include the direct web address to the page in question. We hope that you enjoy the website.
