OMG!!!!! I was in this concert! Lampugnano. The concert started late because of a traffic jam due to a football match of AC Milan. One of the best concerts in my whole life. I was out front undert he stage spoiling the sound with my yelling... Thank God for allowing me to live that night and thank you for posting this. I caught it all on audio. Still have it on tape, and Al's autograph after the show while A. Fortis was in the backstage greeting the guys he had recorded La Grande Grotta with.
Thank you for posting! Al live is completely different from CD's. This is definitely one of his best songs. Michael P. S. is if not the best, certainly one of the best trompetplayers in the world. In those days Al had a selection of the best musicians at his prosposal.
@sonolaziapina For a while there, I thought you were right but look at around 3:15. If that is Nathan East playing the bass I really have to get my money back from my optician because to me, he looks really white:)
Anyway, it doesn't really matter. Keep enjoying the good music and hope you have a nice day!

Dude, are you high? Nathan East on bass? I'm pretty sure that's a white guy in this clip.
Anyway, awesome live version. He always had the best musicians!
