  • I am 20.and if i am in love with this song at this age..i guess it is never going to die..classic beautiful singing..those who are unfamiliar are under priveleged..i feel for them..

  • simple story before marraige and after marraige.

  • Reshma-ji kya bataun - jee mein aata hai ki bas mar jaaiye.

  • I cannot believe how sweet and sad this nazm is. Rashmaji has surpassed the boundaries of good singing. I am in trance. May be I will listen to this again and again and again........

  • Thus, in the stilly night, Ere Slumber's chain hath bound me; Sad Memory brings the light Of other days around me. When I remember all The friends, so link'd together, I've seen around me fall Like leaves in wintry weather; I feel like one, Who treads alone Some banquet-hall deserted, Whose lights are fled, Whose garlands dead, And all but he departed! Thus, in the stilly night, Ere Slumber's chain hath bound me, Sad Memory brings the light Of other days around me.

  • Poem by Thomas More

    Then I sing the wild song 'twas once such pleasure to hear!

    When our voices commingling breathed, like one, on the ear;

    And, as Echo far off through the vale my said orison rolls,

    I think, oh my love! 'tis thy voice from the Kingdom of Souls,

    Faintly answering still the notes that once were so dear.

  • Poem by Thomas More

    At the mid hour of night, when stars are weeping, I fly

    To the lone vale we loved, when life shone warm in thine eye;

    And I think oft, if spirits can steal from the regions of air,

    To revisit past scenes of delight, thou wilt come to me there,

    And tell me our love is remember'd, even in the sky.

  • You are right brother t j ji... these gems and singers hard to find these days and the one we have either sick or loosing their voices which is very sad and we will be left with nothing in few years except their marvelous work they are leaving behind. Those were beautiful innocent times when they created these gems and ptv doesn't have people of that caliber around. Thanks for watching and caring about these great singers.

  • Very very beautiful song with excellent lyrics and music.

    Reshman ji sang extremely well in her ''Dardbhari'' aawaz.. 10*************

    Thanks Khalid Bhai for sharing this gem.

    Bhai,how Reshman ji was discovered?

    Does she still sing ? Do not you think that her aawaz mei bahoot dard hai?

    With respect6. Sarla Didi.

  • Didi she was discovered by former director general or chairman of pakistan broadcasting Mr SALEEM GILANI who passed away few years back and was boss of Mr khalid asghar.He was also poet and great composer too.You are right she has DARDBHARI aawaz and that makes her distinctive from other female singers.This is one of her great performance,Glad you liked it,Thanks for watching and posting comment.regards:khalid

Thus, in the stilly night, Ere slumber's chain hath bound me, Sad memory brings the light Of other days around me. When I remember all
