@Reformed2005 It might be good enough for bronze... If there is a head wind. Lol. But who knows it could be 2nd place in beijing was 9.89. But then again, 3rd place in berlin was 9.84. It would be awesome to see all 8 sprinters to go under 10 seconds.
@Reformed2005 Me either. I actually had a dream about the race the other night. Lol. The winning time was 9.67. Still fast as heck, but you're absolutely right. It would shock me if that 9.58 was broken considering the strict false start rule. But I'm still expecting someone to get in the 9.6's.
@EPizits It's amazing how that 9.58 clearly ahead of anybody else's personal bests. This is not a record that was broken by .01, or .02. This is a record that is faster than the second fastest time of all time by more than a tenth of a second. By yeah, I don't that record will be touched for a while.
@Artisticz thats not fast only a very few run under that even today, watch any 100 meter race today and see who runs under that time u wont c that happen to often
@Artisticz so its july and bolt hasnt ran under 9.91 yet so bolt is not fast anymore is that what your saying idiot, anything below 10 seconds is very good so do me a favor shut up and show some class, 9.85 is very good no matter what decade it was done
Yeah Tyson Gay is struggling with that right now because even though we all know he is blazing fast and 9.71 is insane he might not ever be able to get out of Usain Bolt's shadow. Even with countless prs. Because Usain Bolt i believe can go 9.4 so Gay would have to better his all time pr by .3 to be able to contend. But everyone who knows track can see who the greats are. Only the people who arent really into track remember only the winners.
yeh burrell was fast as fuck, but wen it come to big champs he fucked it up!! in 1992 everyone was sayin that it was burrells race cos linford christie was too old, oooo how he showed them what experience can do :)
Awesome race. Kinda one of the 'forgotten' 100m WRs in between Carl Lewis' 9.86 & Donovan Bailey's 9.84. Burrell didn't get off to the greatest of starts, but he stormed thru - classic race
lane 8 looked a bit twitchy

I wonder if 9.85 will be fast enough to medal in Korea 2011.

@EPizits It would be awesome, hopefully no one false starts and there's decent conditions. I don't think anyone will be getting close to 9.58 tho

9.85 isn't fast? It would've been second in the Beijing Olympics.
