Mainly Air to surface missle launches from the coast!

There is a big difference between what we did to Baghdad and the 9/11 attacks. At least we didn't do a surprise attack executed by non-combatants (i.e. terrorists). If you recall, Sadam Hussein was on a deadline which he failed to honor. We openly stated that we would engage in military action if he did not comply. This is what happens, sadly, when a leader of a country (who the citizens supported) chooses to take such a path. The people, in a way, are inextricably connected to that leader.
