any of you guys got an idea how all the tins and canteens got flattened? its kind of odd for a bunch of soldiers to eat their lunch then stomp on their lunchboxes and bury them? mysterious!
any of you guys have a clue why all the tins and canteens are flattened? seems to me if a company of german soldiers had lunch and buried their tins for some odd reason that they would still be mostly intact! maybe they were suprised by an armored cavalry unit from uncle sam who ran over their lunchboxes? lol!~
I bet the soldiers who'd put this stuff there would be bemused by the way we're so interested in their rubbish!
Talk to a WWII veteran about the details of their equipment and they often think you're mad. To me, it's fascinating. Sometimes finding "rubbish" like this beats getting perfect, unissued kit. There's a story behind this and you're on it's trail.
id like to go search for old war stuff, but aint that dangerous if there is a grenade or some boobietrap thingys ?? :D .. Bet there is some junk in the swamps here in Finland.
@glennetnixz You're complaining about the quality of the Dutch accent ad grammar here? I specifically requested "English" as the language, and I still keep getting foreign-language sites (a lot of them amateur videos with really bad pop music)
Probably there some sort of POW or transition camp nearby and the Allies dumped all the equipment they gathered in big holes in the ground, there was one discovered somewhere in Holland as well some time ago and it contained hundreds of helmets.
Yes we noticed, it is also an Italian mess tin, so that make cense ;-) It says Fame, Mamma mia che fame, Fame internationale, and on the other site DISTRETTO REGGIO CALABRIA.
Evidence for those that say a great war between evil and good did not exist.
