Edwards isn't taking a dime from corporate lobbyists, and is the only one talking about foreign lobbyists influencing our government into bad trade deals that are sending more jobs to other countries. He also wants to crack down on big corporations that set up a "headquarters" in another country so they don't have to pay taxes here - which puts the tax burden on regular Americans.

there is a problem there, it's not only tax breaks that the get in foreign countries, it's cheaper labour, bringing all companies within US borders would drive up world prices driving poorer people into deeper poverty, it's a great idea to protect american interests but it needs to be handled very carefully there are repercussions to every act, have to say though i like edwards thinking on most issues

While I do agree that illegals are one of the driving forces for Health Care Hikesit is a far more complicated issue than just that. There are so many factors driving up health care it is insane. I had the opportunity to speak with Johnathan Shepard (MD) who is the chief of staff at Tidewater General and we got into a discussion about rising health care and some of the major reasons he mentioned for driving health care up were not even things that are mentioned in political debates.

Minimum wage forces employers to pay more than some workers are worth. It results in hamburgers (and everything else) costing more as employers pass the cost to consumers, and if they can't, the employee is not hired. France controls wages, & their unemployment rate makes Detroit look like full employment. That's why France has a new leader now. While France may have learned from its socialist mistakes, the U.S. hasn't. We just might elect a socialist as President. Scary!

How can we balk at minimum wage when incomes are not keeping up w/ prices? We will watch lackluster CEOs, like HP's Fiorini, get $21 million severance packages but not demand a decent minimum wage for workers. Everyone in a developed society who works, should be worth a bare minimum or they shouldn't be hired.
