  • I am a member of the New Apostolic Church. However, I have not been attending for some time. I watched the videos with great interest but I have to say that I disagree with your point of view.

Jesus said in Luke 6:27 - "But I say to you who hear: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you etc etc. It then goes on to say in verse 37 : Judge not, and you shall not be judged, Forgive and you will be forgiven.

Perhaps that would be a better place to start!

  • ...or perhaps Romans 6:1, "continue in sin that grace may abound." (That was tongue-in-cheek).

Remember that it is supremely important to contextualize the Scriptures. Do we not wrestle against the spiritual wickedness in high places, per Ephesians 6:12? Does not this same epistle (Eph. 5:11) admonish us to expose the fruitless works of darkness?

To discern wickedness from darkness, we must judge right from wrong, and the Scriptures are our true measure of righteousness.

  • @LfLn2NAC I was a member from the age of 4 to 15, i left after my one and only youth group activity. Unfortunately, my mother still holds NAC beliefs close. I have found evidence that the NAC supported Hitler's third reich and a former chief apostle [believe it was Bischoff] making an [as fate turned out to be] false proclamation that God had told him he would live to witness his second coming.

  • "...and find rest for yourselves."

"But they said, 'We do not walk in it.'"

  • what do you know of the new apostolic reformation and do you know if the NAC is involved?

  • To my knowledge, there is no association between the NAC and New Apostolic Reformation. That said, please bear in mind that I was merely a priest in the NAC before being saved by the grace of Yahshua our Messiah and not privy to decisions made at the highest echelons of the NAC heirarchy. After studying the Scriptures, I have an aversion to anything "New." As Yah said through JeremYah (Jer 6:16), "Stand in the ways and see and ask for the old paths, where the good way is, and walk in it..."

  • I respect your views/opinions and totally agree that the 'truth' located in scripture has been obscured because of poor translations (throughout the years)... Thanks for keeping an open mind and educating the misinformed. That said im still a proud NAC member- open minded though

  • You know, I have nothing wrong with what you believe or think... but if you look at the DSG.. or Word of Life... everything is backed up by verses from the bible.. are they not?

  • Without sufficiently contextualizing the Scriptures, it is not difficult to make an assertion and then find a verse however obscure—that will seemingly support the assertion—however erroneous or heretical. If I attempt to support an assertion by citing verses in the Bible out of context, this is called a pretext. We see many examples in the NAC of pretextualization instead of contextualization, sadly. Therefore the answer to your question is a certainly "no."

  • A sad misleading viewpoint. May God bless you and lead you into all truth and may he also soften your heart and open up your understanding.

  • This is an example of a claim but with no supporting evidence. Can you provide an example of exactly how this viewpoint is misleading? Keep in mind that we must prove all things by the revealed Word of Yah as found in the Scriptures.

  • Wow, I hope you don't have a gun. I have received many angry messages such as these, but if you would really like to stand out from that crowd, then support your claims with Scriptural evidence. Or are the Scriptures just not that important in the NAC?

  • I've been NAC all my life just like you, and I have no idea what point you're trying to make. Everything that is preached is from scriptures...

  • Everything? I can give many examples of extra-Scriptural teachings in the NAC, but let's start with this one: Where in the Scriptures are we given guidelines regarding the rigid hierarchy in the church leadership? Perhaps you could explain from the Scriptures how deacons report to priests who report to evangelists who report to elders who report to bishops who report to apostles, et cetera.

  • @LfLn2NAC I can give many examples of extra-Scriptural teachings in the Catholic church and many other churches. but let's start with this one: Where in the Scriptures are we given guidelines adoration of Mary?

  • Roman Catholics attempt to justify their practice of praying to Mary by referencing Luke 1:48, however praying to Mary is plainly wrong. As we read in 1 Tim. 2:5, "there is one Elohim and one Mediator between Elohim and men, the Man Messiah Yahshua." Furthermore, from the book of Daniel, we know that Rome is the fourth beast of the earth. You cannot trust the RC Church for truth, nor can you trust the NAC for truth. You certainly can trust in the Words of Yah as recorded in the Scriptures.

  • @LfLn2NAC But this mediator (Jesus) sent his disciples (apostle) out into the world . Jesus always is with them, to the very end of the age until He returns. In Acts 2,42 as you can read: They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. As the mediator (Jesus) was taken up to heaven the apostle became the new mediator.

  • Regarding the apostles as mediators, is this your opinion or is this NAC doctrine?

  • @LfLn2NAC As you can read it is written in the Scriptures. It is not an invention by NAC.
