hi can some please tell how long it takes to get to cairo from luxor by train?

I don't remember exactly, but I think that our depaurture was around 7:45 pm and arrival between 5 or 6 am = around 10 hours.

Thats right, the train left just before 8pm and got in rather early in the morning. I think it was around 6am or 7am, it was winter when I went but yes the trip in total took about 10 hours to get there.

It looks a lot cleaner than the first class compartment that I was in travelling to Luxor from Cairo back in 2002.

It was definitely cleaner than first class compratment, I can tell. We traveled in 1st class few yaers ago (2005) and it was really bad, that train was like never cleaned. Fortunatelly, we had experienced tourist guide... - he brought bottle of Johnie Walkerv for us. When we finished it, train looked much better than it really was :)

Maybe I couldnt see it on the video. Yes they really do need to clean their trains.. I left in the evening and arrived early in the morning to "Tax tax taxiiiiii" Thanks so much for sharing this with me. I hope you you enjoyed your trip. I was in Egypt for a good three and half weeks.
