Go into training mode, use the CPU recording mode (assuming you have the latest patch). Set the dummy to record whatever multi-hit attack you want to red parry such as Ken's MP~HP target combo, go to Replay mode, save state just before the recorded dummy attacks, and just practice over and over, using load state on each attempt. Also practice on a CRT TV or a monitor that has NO input lag (every frame of lag makes a huge difference).
@RakuraiMedia1 Alright thanks I have been practicing on various supers and have used it in a few matches and your right its useful if you know when to go for it. On another note I play akuma and im trying to learn the kkz reset on pad I can get it once and a while but its not consistent I have practiced it any tips? Thanks
@muscleslikeryu Very untrue. The use of whenever to red parry or not is down to how you calculate the risk/rewards for that given situation. Some situations favour red parrying due to low risk/consequences and high reward/damage output. Also don't forget, if you're getting chipped to death, red parry is often the only way out.
this was a great video Rakura. Please could you do more tutorials on Street Fighter 3 because i am really struggling with this game however at the same time i really enjoy playing it. could you do a basics tutorial and then a intermediate tutorial so people like me can play confidentially over xbox live. its up to you but i think it would be a good idea.
I find red parry on chuns sa2 really easy tbh. Maybe the easiest! Block the first 8 kicks then red parry in to the second lot of kicks! U should try it :)
this video is such a dumb waste of time. seriously. noone will ever use red parries in match. come at me using red parries and you will get fucked up bad. stupid video and whoever made it is stupid. fuck you
you never, ever see red parries harrddddly ever used in even the highest level matches, not to mention most of this is totally worthless. Yah who is just throwing out random supers to get punished, half the supers shown are totally worthless at high level play anyway. Red parrying a shoryu reppa = ok what was the point. Red parry is dumb you would probably fuck it up anyway and eat the damage, it is very hard to do.
It's very useful for moves that are normally safe against some characters like Ibuki's EX tsumuji or Akuma's RH hurricane kick. Also useful for people trying to chip you out with moves like shippu.
Top level players have very good red parry consistency and won't hesitate to go for it, especially in casuals. MOV purposely red parried Nuki's SA2 in during SBO of all tournaments just to build more meter for a bigger punish.
er this wasnt mentioned but its semi essential for twins/gouki
when you vertical jump/backup and get an air parry, your moves gain forward momentum properties. er poorly worded but if yun jumped back and air parried he can dive kick forward
or do j.lp, j.f+hp air target
and similarly red parry jump back air parry with gouki allows you to d+mk back in or tatsu in
And jesus, you said it a little. Amazing executional prowess but it has little application in a world of astute hit confirming. I would really prefer a small documentary on how to counteract block strings, ta.
That said this should really be the default manner of countering from guard. How do you red parry hadoukens anyway?
Great Video! I'm confused as to how you used the TE on the PS2 version of the game though. At first I thought 60GB Ps3 but I thought that you can't use USB peripherals when playing PS2 games.
This is true - in fact, not many people will be whiffing supers in tournaments anyway. This video is just to intentionally remind people to consider the benefits that come with red parrying, and hopefully practice it more in training mode.
Good shit. I only red parry in a few situations (blocked Gouki SA1 is nice and easy). I should experiment with it more to up my game by the looks of it.
Hey could you give me any tips on practicing red parrys?

0:53 did you combo into demon? da fuck?
MASTERSHAKE1557 5 months ago
@MASTERSHAKE1557 Far standing HK is the only way to do so. The input sequence is the same as a true kara demon, substituting MP with HK.

Cool video and a good message. Writing off red parrying as impractical is a loser attitude. Always great shit coming from the UK scene
