  • I want to get married... =D

  • please make a tab....

  • I am playing in a friends wedding and told him it would be a bad idea to have me play this piece on acoustic because it loses a lot of the dynamics compared to that of say a church organ. Listening to several youtube versions he agreed, very empty sounding...then I found your version. Just fantastic. However, now I have to learn this! Oh boy

  • Is there a mp3 download version to this?

My Wedding is in 2 weeks..... help?! Nothing I've heard sounds better than your version.

  • @MsLainey92

Hi, thanks! I don't have it in another version, but I know there is some way to take the audio out of a youtube clip.

  • @troubleclef Amazing version. I grab songs from YouTube all the time (paying close attention to quality of course) and am grabbing this! I go out of my headphone jack back into my laptop's input and record it into Garageband (PC users can use Audacity free program), trim the beginning and end and export as an mp3!

  • so good my brain silently exploded

  • hope you're feeling better. :D

  • wish i had fingers like those... sigh..

  • Просто супер!

  • Bravo, Troubleclef!!!

  • Hello Tony . Your sound is very good in stéréo, bravo for your arrangement !*****

  • much better than any "original" version,

    Mendelsson should be proud of!

there is an organ piece - maybe it´s also good for your instrument, as i dont play guitar any more, search in youtube for:

    Pasquini Folias Vihuela

or in our channel - kindest regards - Siegfried

  • Dude, you should really write this down and post in on the web- weddings everywhere would become more pleasant.

  • Played with appopriate majesty and flair!

  • Sagenhaft!!!

  • i want again marry, only for the music!!=)

  • Great man! *****

  • In stereo.... how cool are you!

I guess I'm spending my Sunday afternoon with you.

  • how do remember all those and just play it?

  • Very nice arrangement and rendition!

  • That's well worked out and sounds great, I bet you will be nagged to play this at weddings now, great stereo too.

  • i wish. most couples don't want *traditional* wedding music, no matter how good it is. I don't dig the Wagner "here coms the bride" march, but this is really a very cool piece of music.

  • den schönsten marsch den ich je gehört habe! ich bekomm ihn einfach nicht so gut hin...

    wirklich sehr schön!

  • Wow. Totally unexpected. Well done Tony!

    allen

  • Will you marry me ? (joke, I'm already married !!!)

I'm so amazed to hear such quality by playing guitar (excuse my poor english): Perfect !

    Still 5 stars from France

  • Well done, my friend....

    congrads....

  • Another beautiful piece! Although I may never marry, will you play at my wedding? lol! Awesome!

  • This majestetic music I have considered not suitable for guitar performance.--- Well, you have made me change my mind!! *****

    Regards

  • Tony, you're such a gifted musican, I was wondering if you play any other instruments?

  • I've enjoyed watching your videos for such a long time, now. You posted this on the day of my sister's wedding shower, and tomorrow is my first anniversary. Perfect timing :)

Love hearing your take on it, as usual.

  • Well done, sir! Watching you (and others on YouTube) inspires me to expand my repertoire and improve my technique. Thank you.

  • i do not think this is anger just style and passion wonderful thanks again for showing us all how to do it on another note i live far away and would get married just to have u play at my wedding lol i look forward to your next vid. TREV

  • wow.

    respect.

  • Excellent! Love the sound quality on this one, too.

  • Amazing! a pleasure to behold : )

  • Si alguna vez me caso, te invitaria a tocar la marcha nupcial. Me han entrado ganas de casarme!

    Desde España

    Muchas gracias amigo !

  • superb performing, are u using an artif effect o'reverb? shouldnt. great though

  • sounds more like a delay on the right channel giving it that full wide sound.

  • Your videos are always a treat. Thanks for posting these all for us.

  • You're a truly gifted guitarist!

  • Thank you for another PERFECT presentation.

  • I would love for you to play this at my wedding. when i do get married.

  • Wonderful bro. Do I detect a frisson of delay left and right? Really fattens the sound a nice stereo pan.

  • Thanks. Yes I used my usual duplicate track with the stereo right track being delayed by a few hundredths of a second. I believe the audio is improved because I recorded this on a Mac instead of the pc I've used until now.

  • Bravo Troubleclef!

    You mastered this alltime masterpiece!

  • Are you Kiddin..That song reminds me of when my Heart was ripped out..LOL...JRingo..Hopr you're Happilly married!..JRingo

  • Superb

    Five stars from Brazil :)

  • BEAUTIFUL

  • very nice

  • Wonderful! Have you ever tried playing Cavatina by John Williams?

  • I did practice Stanley Myers piece for a while and I do like it. I was having hand trouble so I dropped it because it's quite hard to play.

  • there's a hint of anger and anguish in your rendition, you've been married awhile I'm guessing ;)

  • interesting. I sure didn't try to do that. Loud and triumphant at moments, yes. But no anger/anguish intended. But, hey, different people hear different things. That's music for ya.

  • Just Kiddin ya troubleclef...I'm just Jaded.LOL..But I got to tell ya..the first three notes are the same notes to the Funeral march..LOL.JRingo

  • so cool!! i love it! when i renew my vows you should come and play!! haha

    5 stars!

    awesome job as always! :)

  • thanks Carol.

  • impresionante

  • Wonderfullllllllllll...

  • Tony, whatever you do for a living, you must really enjoy, because you don't qualify for the old saying, "Don't quit yer day job." You could make a living just doing weddings!

  • Hi

the sound is much better in stereo. How did you do it?

    Greetings

    Hermann

  • thanks Hermann. I recorded this on a Mac with GarageBand and Imovie. The previous clips were made on a pc -with slowly diminishing results.

  • very unique sound

  • thanks. I started cracking up when I figured out your username. Hilarious.

  • love it as i usually do

  • Killing it as usual!

  • Nice dude.

  • This is a perfect example of the difference between a classical or contemporary piece...Dynamics!...where so many of today's technically gifted player's (I'm talking about the rock/pop/acoustic field) seem to go wrong, is that their compositions seem to stay routed to the instrument rather than have any back story or life of their own!

  • so goooood! :O wish i could play that hahaha

  • Super duper!!

  • thanks, Ray

  • Fantastic... 5***** from Barcelona.

    Regards Tony.

    Toni

  • Hahahah, heya friend, you gonna play at some weddings? I'd hire you? ^^

  • I do have one coming up this fall. But I'm available for more.

  • simply great

    555++++from france

  • Beeeauuutiful! made me smile : ) Thankyou

  • Many thanks, Tony!

On that uploading date I had my 19th wedding day - so it was a very special pleasure to hear this one! Wonderful arrangement and perfect playing of this classic timeless wedding march.

    Thanks again, Tony!

    Best wishes,

    Bernd

  • You've been married 19 times??? (just kidding). Congratulations on your 19th wedding anniversary.

    thanks for watching, buddy

  • Almost as good as a performance can get in my view.

  • I wish I could give this video more than five stars. You really made the work of at least two guitars.

  • Bravo!!!

  • you really are something special!...keep 'em coming,i am in raptures with this!thank you.

  • superb!

  • well done sir!

  • brillante

  • that was epic. good job

  • there's a piece I never expected to sound so good in guitar... :)

  • thanks

  • Magnificent performance! I have heard this performed in many different ways on many different instruments, and this is the best I have ever heard - as always, you are a treasure - thank you for sharing!

  • thanks. Yeah, it's an old chestnut, isn't it? I liked playing the less well known parts especially.

  • Yes, especially! :-D

  • The ratio of positive comments to views is testament to your ability. I think your looking for a wedding gig. Beautifully played

  • I do have a wedding gig for September, but I'll always take more! :D

  • Hi Tony! WOW. I feel like getting married now :-) Great arr. and playing. And the stereo effect is great too!

    See ya!

    Per

  • Well, I think you should!

Glad you noticed the audio. I made some changes (I recorded this on a Mac with GarageBand and Imovie). Now I ought to redo a bunch of clips from the last 6 months or more!

    better get playing.

  • That's a brilliant piece of work Tony, Bravo!

  • Tony, now I understand why you've been away for a while, this is a hugh work by Mendelssohn, normally played on piano, now on guitar, transcribed by the Maestro himself, great playing and musical labour, respect all the way,Vic.

  • Thanks, Vic. Really my absence has been more because of audio woes. Now with this clip I seem to have discovered the answer which is: stop making the clips on the pc and start using the Mac.

Plus the piece that's giving me trouble is still yet to come! A real tour-de-force which I'll get done some time soon. :D

  • Amazing, Tony! It must be a huge work to face a piano score... but the result is really colorful and with a very complete harmony. You have inspired me (as usual) to try it. Thanks for sharing, mate.

  • Thanks, Jesus. I'm slowly making my peace with the bass clef (also known as the Trouble Clef, hahah). It gets a little easier every time I work from a piano score. It's great mental exercise and I recommend it to anyone.

  • Damn!

    Inspiration for us all.

    Thanks clef

  • Nice as always man! loving the STEREO sound you put on this video!

  • thanks. glad you noticed. cheers.

  • Woooow! The arrangement on this one is simply incredible! Not to mention the execution, perfect as always. :)

  • well, it could be perfecter. but i'm pleased over all. thanks.

  • Bravo!!!!

  • i always enjoy hearing you play man.

how long have you been playing??

  • thanks. coming up on 35 years.

  • A masterful performance of this piece, bravo! TRB

  • Great arrangement and perfect timing for my daughter's wedding on next Sunday! Thank you.

  • Thanks Hiroshi. Good luck with the wedding.

  • wow awesome performance!!

  • I think this is the first time I hear it complete :-O

  • beautiful Tony, thank you , only that haunting melody scared the pants off me,literally !!!!!!!!!

  • literally? ;)

    thanks, buddy

  • Congratulations! :)

  • Nice presentation of this composition. I asked my guitar teacher if he'll teach me, because he knows it, and he said yes :P

  • that's cool. enjoy playing it.

  • Really beautiful. Did you use different recording equipment or software? There's a nice reverb effect.

  • Yes. I recorded this on a Mac with GarageBand and Imovie. Seems like that solved my audio woes of the last 6 months

  • i'm entranced. I didn't think I'd watch the whole thing. brilliant!

  • thanks for making it through.

  • wonderful! sounds great T!

  • thanks, Sully. glad you liked it.

  • Who would have taught this would sound so remarkably well on a guitar?

    Utmost enjoyable!

    P.

  • Thanks. It lies quite naturally on the guitar. Of course I had to make several modifications (for which I hope Herr Mendelssohn forgives me) but I realized that this tune has been done so many different ways on just about every instrument or instrument combination, that it couldn't hurt to try.

  • Wow!

    Brilliant playing.. as always :)

  • thanks

  • very nice! a wonderful interpretation!

  • que guay..donde puedo encontrar la partitura?
