  • The "swat" charater is simply awesome! Did you make that?

  • @sorrefly I only animated him. The boss at Zero point software Kim Jørgensen did the design, and my awesome friend Jakob Falkenberg did the modeling and texturing.

  • Your work in general, but in particular for me since it was the first thing I saw, blew me away in interstellar marines. Everything I've seen here has melted my mind significantly though. Subscribed.]!

  • @HyperDuckMusic Thanks.. I'll will try and feed you with more cool videos when ever I have the time ;)

  • @darknon if you're ever doing something that needs a professional composer or sound designer, gimme a shout! I can share you some reels/examples for either!

  • i loved the shark monster.

  • @jabadahut50 Yes, it rocks! :) Just wait till it's after you in a dark reseach facility, it will scare the shit out of you I promise!

  • sorry i would like to know how much time have you been involved in 3d animations and models, i downloaded blender yesterday and also unity 3d, in a hope i can learn something and maybe one day i can make my own game, well, im pretty much a newbie and amateur, do you have any tips for me, or am i using the right tools?

your animations are simple awesome and very very great, good job congrats :)

  • @foxusp I've been doing 3d for about 12 years now. Try out different programs and then just chose the one you like most, and then just practice alot. I've never tried Blender, so don't know how good it is. I'm purely a 3ds max guy, and only use other animation programs when I have to. Here at Io-interactive we're using motionbuilder for hitmans animations. But once you learn how to animate in one program, it is pretty easy to learn to animate in another program. The basics are the same.

  • @darknon my objective is to develop a game, i have it all in paper and i got some ideas for my own game, obviously im not aware of all the things i will need to to yet, but i know i will need 3d models and animations i think, to put into the game, things like the character dying, shooting, weapons shooting, some effects and programming too, so im studying it, do you think it possible for me alone do develop a game? simple but decent? not with the quality in this video, but decent..

  • Dam I would want to play that game so bad that game would blow most of the games i play out of the water

  • @manhalo1 Agree!

  • awesome reel

  • @tony8999 Thank you!

  • 1:13 how do you animate inside of real video footage like that? i wanna learn so bad

  • @PusStephen go to youtube, and seach for Boujou tutorials ;)

  • this made my day!

  • @MOREGIANSK you're welcome ;)

  • i was amaze after reading you not using no MOCAP for the marine i had to watch this video again...also the sitting duck was awsome too..

  • @tweedz877 Cool thanks :)

  • EPIC!

  • @MrBonecrusherz98 Thanks!

  • @darknon Np

  • nice!

  • @y0utuve Thanks!

  • This is good. I am really feeling this reel. One thing i was always curious about was, do they ever use maya for animation only, and fumeFx, and other max plugins for effects, and then just composite together later? Do the studios just like to stick to one program for effects (expecially fluid fx) and animation, or can the two be successfully mixed?Id like to start using the rbd and fluid dynamics in max, but do the animation, and rendering in maya.I just want to know if it is a wise route to go

  • @caveman357 It's not a wise way to go if you ask me. Unless you really really know what you are doing. Chose the program you like best.. I chose Max because of rayfire and fumefx

  • this is fuckin sickkk

  • @SnapplerX Thanks.... Right? :)

  • @darknon yes lol ur welcome

  • Great animation ;D

  • @bertynie Thank you!

  • wow that shortfilm is epic

  • @AeRoS0n It WILL be when it's done ;) Thanks

  • awesome...

  • @aniljayshree Thanks :)

  • @BugAnimation Yeah, Running man is pretty cool, considered we did it in about 4 month, with only 5 guys. For Interstellar Marines I animated everything in Maya.

  • FUCKING EPIC

  • @loger200 Epic is a pretty over used word these days, but thanks :)

  • I love your ballsy demo reel (music choice is really in your face) if i were an employer i'd hire you in a minute :D

  • @IsaraiLee Thanks, that's what I was thinking. I wan't to work in a place where they can take some shit :)

  • What became of Sitting Ducks? That looked like it had tons of potential!

  • @nakedsupermodel It's a work in progress that is standing still right now, because I don't have time to do a project like that at the moment I'm afraid.. It will be finished eventually, don't worry

  • Ser godt ud :) Super flot Showreel!

  • @SneakersDK Tak! :)

  • What did you use to make this!!?

  • @WaitinPrince 3ds max, maya, after effects, sony vegas, and boujou

  • It's a fantastic animation reel. my only critique is your shitty music :P

  • @AdmiralMorningWood Thanks :) I'll chose better music next time ;)

  • weird music

  • @WorstEditorNA I know! It will be more low key in my next reel

  • Cool! make some movie :D

  • @Rockkiller935Ice I'm on it!

  • interstellar marines.... so you worked on that ?

  • @KillerKahuna yeah, for about 3 years

  • Comment removed

  • Excellent! Excellent!

  • @Maksim69772 Thanks!

  • great stuff!! keep your private stuff private because i think you got something there

  • @115LB Thanks. not quite sure what you mean by keep my private stuff private. Nothing is really private on youtube right.

  • @darknon

Idea's and certain animations can be used and copyrighted if you make it available to anyone.

I like your talent. Do you accept requests/assignments? It won't be a 3 year project nor a big moneymaker, but I'm quite sure some money and lots of publicity can be given in return. (Competitive gaming environment)

Don't hesitate to PM me for more information or ask for it here.

    Greets

    Da_Tonio.

  • @darknon I'm guessing he means don't post your models/project files online, since people steal without remorse. :p

  • Hey dude thats awesome stuff, We're a small team doing digital fx.. but when we have a project for you, will defo contact you, you got skills my friend!!!

  • @bortas2006 Thanks :)

  • Is that the shark thing from Doom 3?

  • I have question, you make all animation by "hand-and-mouse" or it's motion capture?

  • @miciok94 It's all hand animated from scratch, no motion capture

  • Amazing!!

  • @The3dgrapher Thanks :)

  • Do you have a team to make all of theae?

  • @Sluggaboy1000 I'm not sure what theae means I'm afraid

  • @darknon Sorry... Do you have a team to make all these animations and games? Or did you make this all by yourself?

  • THE FREAKIN BEST SHOWREEL I HAVE SEEN EVAAAAAAA !!!!!!!!!!! dude these are the kind of movements that you would wanna see in a character and you made it soo well :') .. i dont even know what to say to that... amazing work .... do you work in a studio for movies or something??

  • @jeffersonkid3 Thanks mate. I'm working as animator on Hitman Absolution at the moment.

  • thats fuckin amazing man you got a good sense for movement

  • @GforcePilotAustralia Thansk dude :)

  • Would be nice if I could do that! By the way, was Sitting Ducks finished or is it just a preview.

  • @DHLupine Arh.. Sitting ducks is my never ending project.. Haven't worked on it for years now, it's a big project.. I'm doing very small projects now, as it fits better with my time.. But Sitting ducks is not done, trust me, it will be finished eventually

  • Woh....... That was the best animation showreel I've ever seen on youtube! What Program did you use? And if its blender. Plz teach me!

  • @pushak619 I didn't go to any school, I just sat down with 3ds max, and started to learn the shit out of it.. The hard way, now with the internet, it should be much easier to learn stuff... I just downloaded the damn program, no way I could afford a program like that. and if I hadn't, I wouldn't be where I am today, that's for sure

  • @darknon so you donlowded that programs that you made videos withe if yes give mi the link from what web sites and.i have a question is blender a good program to use for right now?

  • the music on your reel would be pretty offensive to most studios. Just my 2 cents

  • @ArtofBrad You might be right.. On the other hand, I want to work in a place where people can take some shit, if you know what I mean.

  • Niiiiice! Check out our sketch comedy group!

  • Look man i have been watching your videos from last few weeks and I really appreciate your style of animation.. I've never seen such good detailing in an animation showreel before..... but if you can help me out here.. I am an animation student from Inida, its just few months that I am in this field but I always wanted to do animation,

look if you can tell me where/how did you study this stuff, and recommend me some colleges/university where I can study animation, as I am looking to study ahead

  • INTERSTELLER MARINES COULD AND SHOULD BE A MULTI-BILLION DOLLAR GAME!!!!!

  • @princessapayne I couldn't agree more.. It really is a awesome project that has the potential to be the next big thing.

  • plane crash amazing

  • @Runredrobot thanks.. I never really finished that plane crash :(

  • @darknon Please explain what you mean by this, my English is bad

  • Interstellar marines = <3

  • Amazing! I like the Rat / Shark monster !!

  • just can ı ask very stupid question.. i have allways wondered the big strucktures or envoriments are modelingin in 3ds max and exporting to maya or you model them in maya? becouse i am architect and using 3ds max but some how i have allways thougt modeling in maya is farther difficult..

    am i wrong ?

    great works!!

  • @efeeryilmaz Thanks. Well. I'm a animator, not modeler :) My small soldier guys, I've modeled, textured, animated everything in max. I was forced to use Maya duing interstellar marines, but I prefere max, as it is the program I know the best, and have been using that since the dawn of time.. When it comes to modeling and texturing, it doesn't really matter which program you use, as they all can import and export models from each other. With rigging and animation, it's much harder..

  • Wow.. THIS is a great port-folio.. you shouldn't have to search too long before having a job right ?

  • @gspm23 Thanks. Well, I live en Denmark, which means that there's not alot of options when it comes to working with computer games.. I was lucky to get into IO-Interactive ;)

  • awesome!!!!!software?

  • @smartacious thanks dude... For the interstellar marines stuff I used Maya, and for my own stuff (last part of the showreel) I used Max, with fumefx and rayfire. Sony vegas for editing, and after effects for compositing. Oh, and boujou for camera tracking... That should pretty much cover it ;)

  • @darknon lol i have an interest in this career and im learning to use blender.thanks for the inspiration.

  • That was Awesome :)

  • @yaseensid Thanks alot :)

  • this is just tight dude. mad props.

  • @jsmarcusdotcom Thanks man :)

  • this is just plain awesome, you should be working in Rockstar or Ubisoft :D

  • @1urbanstyle hehe, thanks. but for now IO-Interactive will have to do ;)

  • wow 2:58

  • how did you get your rigs to move so smoothly and realistic? Do you know any tutorials on it perhaps?

  • @TehGamingCrew There's no trick to it really. It's many years of practice and experience. It's all just keyframing.. Don't know about tutorials, as I havent watched any in 10 years or so.. Just pratice alot, like you would on a guitar or something, and it will get a little easier everytime :)

  • Interstellar marines :)

  • nice. where did you learn to do this. i like it a lot

  • so exciting and charming.Your reel are what get me going.

  • @Mayakasi7 nice, thanks :) I'll make sure to keep making cool action stuff ;)

  • wow awesome!

Could this be made like in blender? :P

wow your a great animator hope they contract you for a AAA title :D

  • @rodisnothere I'm doing a AAA title now at IO-Interactive. But the game is secret for now, so can't tell you anything about it yet. It'll be announced very soon though.

  • o fak, that's sick.

  • i love the shark animation ...well done man

  • You should make a game!

  • AAA Animator ftw

  • @raymhensley Thanks alot. Spread the word, I need a job ;)

  • @darknon

You're not with ZPS any more?

  • @Synper311 Nope, unfortunatly not.. Instead I'm working for IO-Interactive at the moment...

  • Awesome reel but I'd change the music.

  • @lilurik Yeah I know, But I've searched all my music through and this is kind of the only one the is fitting with the beat and pacing. There was a few other ones that worked great, but youtube wont let me use them, so it leaves me with this one. And I do like the bad ass attitude.

  • WOW absolutely great, did you go film school or are you self taught?

  • @videokid001 Thanks. I've learn all myself now that you ask :)

  • @darknon how long did it take you to learn this?

  • @MrLolman666 hmm.. It's been around 11 years now since I started with 3d studio max. And about 4-5 years since I started concentrating on character animation and FX.
