This guy is so fun to watch, with that And1 style of play. Too bad in his later part of career he seldom flash off his old-self. Did he cross over gary payton? That was awsome.
BTW, the last great PG out of NYC was Kenny Anderson (my idol growing up as a PG myself). Marbury/Telfair, et all couldn't hold his jock strap. Great PG. Nowadays, Chris Paul is the latest iteration of a great PG.
myronkelly67: He had skill. Yeah, he wasn't the greatest player ever, but he did more in his supposed 'one year wonder' than most of these kids do in an entire career. He'd tear ass just for fun all over those And1 kids, with zero issue. Him and Moss were a great high school duo, and I think it's a neat story. Basketball is rife with these kinds of things, just learn to enjoy the players for what they are.
A, white or black this dude is sick so at least give him that. The stuff he does doesn't pop up on the stat sheet but notice that he played a major roll into the Heat champion ship. Has major ball handling ability and Dwayne Wade is the facilitator in Miami so you gotta cut Jason some slack. Also, when Wade was out they where trying to develope that new PG they got and the Heat organization realized that he was coming into his last years and thats why he wasn't running the team as much.
If he wasn't white you wouldn't hear anything about him. White people called it "Jungle Ball" back in the day, but since a white boy pulls a couple of passes out of his ass, he's a savior??? Please! Jordan, Iverson, Bryant, Thomas(Isiah), James, Magic(Johnson), Paul, Garnett... The list goes on man. Those are real ballaz'...
one year? go check out his career stats. consistant year after year. theres a reason he was good enough to start all those years- a point guard with a pass-first mentality what a great idea.
first of all, dont get it twisted, dude was flashy and white and that appealed to the fans and put some people in the stands but when it came down to being a money player, he sucked. He was ok when nothing mattered but when it was money time, please.
i mean ur probably right there's a difference. i liked him but wasn't a lifelong follower or diehard. anyone that can streetball their way to the NBA has to be damn good. someone just said he was a one-year wonder though i didn't agree with that. you don't start for several teams and put up consistant numbers as a one-year wonder is all i was saying

for that one season he was channelling Pete Maravich. The cross over he had on Gary Payton left Payton trying to trip him. It was that sick
