I really like this! I will also check out PinewoodCH's video. Great stuff. I think I like it mostly as a handle at 0:44. Also I like your kit at 1:08. I bought a gun belt when I was in Ontario. And carried my Kabar on it. Seemed much more convenient than just to put it on my pants belt
@SpartanJohns Thanks mate. The belt was about $20 from an Auckland Army Surplus. I like the kit too. All are favourites. The leather sheath on the machete though I made myself, but I already want to mod it. :)
@lauderdaleflorida awww thanks. Seemed a useful way to combine some useful objects. It's a mod on an excellent idea and vid from "PinewoodCH", so credit to him (look for vid entitled "PinewoodCH - My Survival Carabiner Kit")
I figured wrapping it with jute and twine as opposed to having a hank of jute hanging from it was of advantage since you're not often going to need the hidden ferro rod and the biner is still able to be used to attach things/have them attached to it.
You have enough jute for a year's worth of fire starting! Can't fault the idea though.

Great video, I will have to make my own when I find some jute twine, and post a VR!
