Re: jumping in the 'wrong' side of the car - The General had a driver. When they arrived at the train station he gets out to open the door for the General. He obviously got back in the driver's seat and when the guy is sent to get soldiers he gets into the front passenger seat and leans across to the driver to tell him what's what. No mistake/continuity error here.

Hey Penguin, look a little closer - you can see someone else turn the steering wheel on the lefthand side of the car. And by the way, the only european country that drives on the right side is the UK. Yes, Russians drive on the same side as the US. Havixus - did you think it was piss?

@Briggs7477 Actually in the UK/Britain they drive on the left hand side of the road. The same goes for Ireland.

The scene in the park is one of my favorite scenes of all time.

You can't actually see it clearly on this because the definition is not great but check out the guy jumping into the car at the very start. He's the only one in it but he's jumped into the passenger side and the car starts up and moves off. On the DVD you can see him lean over and make a grab for the steering wheel, its hilarious. I'm assuming they tried to keep it European by pretending he was driving a right handed car.

The most tragic aspect of this movie was the inability of the collapsing communist to admit it's error and ignorance , and be opened minded to westen investagative tecqniques upwards of 25-30 children probably would have not have died. This work clearly illustrates the oppresion and stupidity of communism which is an inhumanistic philosophy.

You have to almost stop everything when Max Von Sydow is onscreen
