  • It's so true what you say about buying a cheap gun if it's all you can afford; at the very least it will provide piece of mind until you can afford a better one. If your just starting out you can't expect to afford a Dragonslayer sword that costs 15000 Gold pieces. You need to buy a cheap hand axe or dagger and get used to using that for awhile, kill some Goblins or Slimes, and save up your Gold u.ntil you can upgrade

  • Why put drama in the show? Trying to attract female viewers? Haha!

  • I comment on this just as a suggestion...after watching Hickok45's review on the Bersa Thunder Concealed Carry .380 I went out and shot one. It really is a great gun at a VERY affordable price. I know there will be those who would debate me on knock down power of the .380, but in a save your life situation it is a reliable piece of hardware that many can afford. Just my thoughts!

  • Hickok you're too good for Top Shot!!!

  • This episode has a story that proves you should gun proof your child, not child proof your gun!

  • I really love your videos and have the utmost respect for your info, even though you are very casual. But I really think you should test the $100-$200 pistols. I will be honest, I'm talking about hi-point. I have seen other people test them to prove they are "junk" just to find they are a good option for folks who CANNOT spend 300+. I own a Sig, not cheap. I also own a bursa thunder .380 considered by many to be "junk". I have found it to be more then reliable and very accurate.

  • Great show hickok!

  • This should be on XM.

  • I was biting my finger nails when Hickok mentioned cheap firearms.... luckily he wasn't talking about 870's and ruger gp100 and 10 22's or even SKS's or Mosin Nagants.... whew.

I wasn't too worried considering I've seen him shoot everyone of those firearms :)

He doesn't say names but I'm thinking Norinco may have crossed his mind during the show.

p.s. Hickok, love the radio show. I can just put in on ( 1/8 inch to the big speakers ) and wander around tiding up and polishing guns :) love it

  • you would crush every one in that house

  • Its Glock 21 Duh!

  • Hickok I'm glad you choose not audition for Top Shot. As you well know Top Shot is not a shooting competition as much as it is popularity contest. As far as most serious shooters are concerned Top Shot is a joke.

  • @thereluctantspaceman I agree Top shot is Not top shot its a BS reality show But it is interseting to watch.

  • @jameskennethwarren It isn't even remotely interesting.

  • @thereluctantspaceman Indeed. Just another bullshit media outlet for sensationalistic nonsense.

  • I'm sure the $100,000 dollar prize from Top Shot could help out with ammo and your rapid fire videos! :)

  • It's one of the bigger glocks, like a 10mm or 45. Glock 30?

  • Every show needs the "normal" person...even if it's just to make the others look more extreme.

  • Glock 19??...Great job yet again...Keep up the good work..

  • G19

  • These internet radio casts are so great. I really enjoyed hearing tn9outdoors on your cast too. The only way this radio cast could be better is if I could listen to this on my radio in my truck...Great job on these casts and I look forward to hearing a lot more. Okay, I take a guess at the gun...a striker fire type gun...may be a Glock with traction tape grips???

  • Glock 27

  • Sure sounds like a Glock to me. Which model, who knows?

  • I say it's a Glock, but I don't know which one.

  • glock 23

  • If you guys want to listen to this on your ipod, Go to vidtomp3.com.

I used this and the quality is the same as Youtube. You just have to insert the url and download the mp3.

    I'm not a bot. I watch Hickok's videos.

  • my freind asked me wats the most affordable gun out there, and i said simply the mosin nagant those suckers are $100 a rifle or less, surprisenly enough though i dont own one, i own other bolt rifles like a german k98 and lee enfield that are more you can say better quality rifles, not saying that the mosin nagant is a bad gun, just saying theres better guns out there

  • glock 23 gen 4 perhaps

  • sounds like a compact glock. not the mp40c he just got tho. sounds diffrent lol

  • Loving it Hickok, keep them coming.

  • berreta 92

  • Lol at "glocking" in the video tags.

Lol the "in-laws" and the "out-laws".

Shooting character: UNCLE SAM! On the 4th!

My guess is M&P 40c. Though with all the people saying "certainly a glock" it's kinda making me nervous... =)

  • Glock

  • Glock

  • lever gun

  • It is certainly a Glock... either the 19 or one of the compacts.

  • Comment removed

  • Glock for sure.

  • I think it's Lever Action Rifle, but it also sounds like a 1911.

  • When I was young and just starting to be able to purchase my own firearms, an older friend of mine told me not to sell or trade off any guns unless you really have to, to get by. No matter what you decide to sell or trade, you will want back in a few years, so just do not do it. To this day, I have not disposed of any of my firearms, except for one that was damaged beyond repair throogh no fault of my own.

  • Life is good

  • This week's firearm is one of the Glock "Fab Four"

  • Kel-Tec PF9

  • Gotta be a Glock...but which one??

  • @SavageHmr He's from australia so good job failing.

  • @shadowsteel5

He can't be from Australia and own all those semi auto weapons they lost all of their gun rights.

WoW One negative comment and everyone go's ape shit.

  • @SavageHmr maybe he is just from Australia. He doesn't have to live in Oz to be Australian.

  • @bigbobkropp

I thought you guys were saying hickok was from Australia at first.

What ever I don't care about the guy with the guitar.I like watching hickok talk about guns and shooting.

  • @shadowsteel5

I don't give a rat's ass where he is from.

  • @SavageHmr , Austrialian hillbilly, and very popular at that!

  • awesome

  • I honestly don't think I will ever trade or sell any weapons. I just know I would regret it. And I haven't bought any cheap guns except my first two toys. From here on out it will be high quality weaponry. Like my Kimber. I love it, couldn't get rid of anything like a weapon, it is a part of my history it seems.

  • I will wager it is a Glock 23

  • I'll go ahead and guess Glock. Glock 19?

  • Glock !7 - 25th anniversary.

  • its definitely a glock but i hesitate to guess which model. my gut tells me g23 though.

  • Hey Hickok, I liked the show as always and thought that sounded like a Glock, and I will make an educated guess it was a Glock 27!!! Wish me luck, next weekend is my first IDPA match at Bluegrass Sportsman's Club!!!

  • @hickok45 DEFINITELY your Glock 23.

Also next week if there's time would you mind sharing your opinions on legal CCW on campuses?

    Thanks!

  • glock 23

  • glock 23 or 27 4 outta 4 so far! gettin lucly!

  • glock 23 or 27

  • Funny story. Where I live, the teacher probably would have flipped out and called child services, the police, the governor, the pope, screaming wildly about crazy gun nuts.

  • I think its a Kel-Tec PF9.

  • glock

  • glock

  • It's a Glock.

  • Really enjoy these radio broadcasts Hickok! I can actually get work done around the house while listening to what your take is on my favorite topics.. Hope you can keep them up..

  • g19

  • gun of the week...striker-fired semi automatic....short magazine....possibly a Glock 26/27

  • Its Hickok's favorite glock. A glock 23.

  • Glock, no idea on the model. if you went with your favorite it should be your 27

  • Another great show can't wait for the next one.

  • Both you and TNoutdoors9 are very good speakers. Quite an impressive talent, actually, and probably more difficult to master than shooting well.

The Gun of the week is the Glock 20.

  • Wow. $500 is expensive for a handgun? Ra-oh :(

  • Glock for sure. im thinking glock 19 gen4

  • glock or xd

  • that's a glock for sure

  • it's a glock

  • Glock 27

  • its a polymer wonder!

  • sounds like a Glock trigger. Maybe that gen4 g19. Nice show.

  • Comment removed

  • Glock 29 or 27

  • its a glock i dont know what model tho

  • I was also thinking Glock. Don't know my Glock models, but I'm guessing the finish on it is black, polymer frame and black steel slide with a steel barrel. It does sound striker fired. I am also going to go out on a limb, and say it has some talon grips on it.

  • Thanks for getting to the Hi-Power. I think there is one in my future.

    Stay safe and Zombie free.

  • sounds like a glock or some other semi auto handgun.

  • I look forward to these! Keep up the good work!

  • Man your Top Shot remarks were awesome. 5:00-6:45

  • sounds like a glock to me. I couldn't hear a take down leaver when you field stripped it and I never hear any double action.

  • Glock 27

  • I'd say the glock 19 gen 4

  • The longer the better! Don't worry about the length. Glock 23?? or maybe the 19.

  • Glock dont know the model though

  • I feel a glock.

  • Sounds like a Glock to me...I'm betting on the 23.

  • No question it's a Glock. Which model? It's not a 17.

  • ★★★★★

I'm really liking these Radio Show Episodes. I look forward to listening to them.

  • glock 23

  • g19

  • I'm gonna have to guess one of the small guns you've been using lately, a Kel Tec, Kahr, or a S&W.

As for the length of the show, keep it long, make it an hour long. I lift weights while listening to the show. Today the show ended before I finished lifting.

  • Hmm... definitely a Glock, probably compact...either the 19 or the 23.

  • glock 22 police trade in......

2nd Gen frame, from a department trade-in at only $319.95 each for G-VG condition. We also have some in higher grades, or with 3rd Gen frames, starting at $349.95 each!

    jgsalesdotcom

  • im trying that free youtube to mp3 thing just for this show. lol

  • beretta 92fs !!! :o

  • You are checking a Glock 27 to ensure that it is empty, dry firing, disassembling, reassembling, and working the action and dry firing after assembly.

  • Dont worry about keeping the Radio show short. Keep it long. Should be 2 hours with NO commercials. Cya

  • Glock 19 Gen4

  • Thanks for another great show......been waiting all week for it.

  • Great Hickok!

  • It's definitely a Glock. I am going to guess it is your Glock 20 since you've been carrying that around in your fancy new chest holster recently.

  • well now I know who killed santa.. And I think its a glock this week since you broke it down so fast.

  • I'm going to guess its your desert eagle.

  • Thats the sound of PERFECTION... ; )

  • Topshot would be a good show if it didn't have the drama, "big brother" etc garbage. I'd rather just see them shoot and not have to watch through what is on their minds, etc. That's just cornball- filler material.

  • Got to be a glock.. that trigger was mighty glock sounding..*snap*

  • Definitely a polymer striker fired gun, but the classic hollow-rattle dry-fire sounds like a Glock. Did he pull the trigger before disassembly though...I don't think I heard it.

  • Fun to hear both of you on one show. Very good points on just what will you put your trust in to save your life when everything hits the fan some night. I think some guns I use only for range work to plink for sheer fun, and some I carry to be a responsible shooter ready to save lives when needed including my own. When courting, my wife drove a pick up truck, shot my 39a for 22, and then let her shoot my 410, then she started shooting with the 22 the spent shotgun shells and knocking them in air

  • This really is great Hickock. This radio show really could go somewhere.

    Excellent work man.

  • Sounds like a Glock. Magazine sounds like plastic on plastic and the trigger sounds very Glock like....now comes the hard part since you own all of them.

Glock 19 or 23......hmm.... Going with the trusty Glock 19. I'll go ahead and say it's a Gen 4.

  • Sounds like a Glock 19

  • I'm sure it must be a Glock.

  • mistery gun is a polermer wander. deff. a glock, witch one? given your love for the 23, that would be my bet.

  • sounds like a semi auto hand gun and seeing how you like glocks ... maybe it's a glock?

  • Yes, I know someone with at least 100 junk "bargain" guns, and not a real self defense quality firearm at all.

  • I think the gun of the week was the M1A.

  • a glock of some sort

  • Save up your money for a CZ 75B

  • GREAT info on cheap guns, 1 good quality gun, even an inexpensive gun, is so much better option than a "cheap" firearm. A good used quality firearm will last 'several' life times, be more reliable, safer, and more fun to own.

  • Definitely an automatic because of the sound of the disassembly. I would say a glock (no idea which model. 19 or 23 maybe?), but it doesn't have the squealing sound of a glock slide; then again I've never noticed that sound on YOUR glocks.

I think the CZ-75 has a better grip and trigger than the Hi-power, not to mention better mag capacity (and looks). The Hi-power is still cool though and is what the 75 is based on. The magazine disconnect just ruins the trigger on them.

  • Tough gun of the week this time. But I thought I heard you removing and replacing a magazine and a slide, maybe removing a barrel. I'm gonna guess that was a Glock. Of SOME sort.

  • With age comes wisdom. I truly love these videos/radio shows. To me it is the very best of entertainment! I wait for every upload! Keep it up Hickock, you are a modern visionary...

  • i like listining to this,

  • By the striker dropping and by the disassembly noises, I'll say compact size or subcompact Glock. Plus I think I heard it coming out of a leather holster...

  • TIS A GLOCK 23!!

  • I think I'm going to put you on my speakers and clean while I listen to you gab. :)

  • Glock 20 :)

  • glock 19 gen 4

  • 1022

  • I'm guessing glock for this week

  • i make minimum wage. im 18 and i saved up for a glock 19. not fun waiting but sooo worth it. by the way hickok45 is the one to be blamed for my purchase! he should be getting paid by them for all the glocks he sells.

  • @ibanezkid07 Hickok is responsible for my Glock 19, as well.

  • Firearm of the week:

    Newly cleaned Glock 20

  • Glock 19 gen 4?

  • my first firearm was a 91/30 mosin nagant for a 100 bucks or so bought it for just the sake of collecting. then i got a used marlin 25n for 200 came with a scope that was zeroed in for i think 15 yards or so i bought it cuz it was affordable and a bolt action 22 is fun to shoot zero complaints about it so far, then i saved up cash for a sig 522 being my introduction to semi autos kinda pricey for 600+ dollars then i bought a armscor m1600 that i regret but being for about 90 bucks oh well.

  • kahr pm9

  • im saying its the gen 4 glock 19

  • Great show. I just found your channel and subscribed. very nice.

  • you want to talk cheap, i got a raven 25acp new otd for 52 bucks an change 25+ years ago. still got it. shoot it a couple times a year, never had a problem with it.

  • i have the flu, and i still managed to turn the computer on and watch this vid...someone give me and hickok a metal....well maybe just him

  • My local gun shop regularly has New glocks on sale for $429

  • @mechanisto1832 I'm in the gun industry and I can assure you that a small local shop cannot sell new glocks for 429 because that is under cost.

  • @mechanisto1832 i guarantee they are used.

  • awesome raidio

  • my first handgun was a ruger p85 i paid 200 bucks for!

  • Could you do a gun collection plzz

  • Kel-tek PF9 action of the week.

I think it would be nice for you to shoot a few of the $150.00 - $250.00 guns so the people that can't afford a higher priced gun. Keep up the great work.

  • Hey Hickok45. It sounds like you are talking about the Hi-points when you discuss "cheap" junk guns. Do you intend to acquire some hands on experience with one? I would love to see you present a fair assessment of a C9. The argument about the brand rages on and on much to my amusement. I am a Glock, Sig, and SnW owner and have to say that my C9 probably gets the most range time. We enjoy that pistol. We enjoy your vids, thanks.

  • Probably a Glock. lol

  • Glock don't ask me what model and Caliber or model. I'd say you field striped it cause I heard the barrel.

  • As far as the inexpensive firearms, it all comes down to one thing - Research! look into the gun you want to purchase, especially if it is on the lower end of the price range! There are some FANTASTIC firearms out there in the 200-300 dollar range that shoot just as good as other things. The internet is a wonderful resource when used properly and generally you can find out about any gun you are interested in.

  • Beretta 92fs

  • My first quality handgun was a second hand S +W Model 10 (which I still own),and I never went back to the cheaper weapons. Bought new grips, cleaned it up and it ran like a champ.I think I paid $350. for the gun.I eventually had the gun reblued and it still is one of my favorite guns in my collection.

  • Hey Hickok, it would be great if you could bring your radio show to a podcast (iTunes?). I would really love to be able to listen to your show while on the road. Thanks!

  • Spud Gun @ 48:30 :-D

  • definitely a glock probably the glock 23

  • many praises on your success!!! great videos and radio. I really liked the last radio comments section where you outlined topics and time stamp. something you might want to consider for all your radio programs. Not that i don't like to listen to you but it allows for selective hearing...You know kind of like when you better half is talking. LOL

  • Your mystery gun this week was a GLOCK!!! I'm guessing a G19. Great show!

  • Suggestion for radio. I'd like to hear anecdotes about gun phobias. Some relatives of my were so frightened of guns, they would not Touch a gun and didn't want to LOOK at a gun. It gave her the shivers. Lots of gun owners want to show their new gun to others. Usually I sho, magazinw the person where the bullets go, so they can see that the chamber is empty, magazine is empty, etc.

They still won' touch them. You hear the old saw: "Many people were shot with 'empty' guns."

    Got stories?

  • who is that one person to dilike ohh yea it was nancy pelosi

  • My first Glock was an inexpensive police trade in. It's still my favorite.
