  • omg i WANT ONE!!!

  • both bikes I would love to own today.

  • Nice bike but stupidly overpriced and the exhausts kill the sound.

  • The Yamaha Fazer was my dream bike back in the day. Styling was ahead of it's time and with a Vance&Hines 4-1 pipe that 5-valve head made a wonderful exhaust note.

  • thats was such a gay presentation.. they could have done better.. still yet its a great bike.. always loved the Vmax but never had one.. lets hope you can get better sounding exhausts for it. but whats up with the price?!? seriously expensive at 15K in the UK!!

  • nope, I have both a magna and a vmax. Vmax leave magna behind in both acceleration and top end. The older model max wasn't as good at handling as the magna, nor as stable on the top end as magna; but the sheer power of the max overcomes a lot. Raced a friend, on her Duc 900 monster. She was really good throwing it through curves; but I would always blast around her after the curve and leave her by 100 yards plus easy. Great bike in many ways. Has some downsides; but the new one is even better.

  • Dude! Did I Say track? No I didnt! I said Highway, Of course vmax would win in a drag race. But not out on the highway. Magna has no govern and is a six speed man. I have owned both and magna is faster. Not Quiker.

  • A v65 won't even beat a phazer which was known as the baby vmax, I know cause my brother had one and the phazer always won. I this a sounding board for all the honda babies who wish they had a vmax

  • Your full of it dude! Your friend either didnt know how to ride or that Magna or it wasnt running right. I had a phazer and a V65 and tha magna was way faster. The V45 Magna maybe but not the V65 no way! Its a 10 second bike stock! Phazer isnt a 10 second bike sorry dude.

  • I'm sorry. Vmax are sweet and everything, but the 2009 'Busa in Gray/Silver is absolutely bad ass.

  • I do sniff Gasoline LOL! I owned a 84 v65 and whent 140+ in fourth gear! Still had 5th and 6th gear so i do believe it can go at least 160+. Honda claims it will go 172+mph I never had the balls to try to do it becauce its simply too scary on a cruiser. Have you ever rode one wide open? If not go for it and get back to me LOL! And from first hand experience I believe it can do it if the wind is right. Dont knock it until you try it!

  • Maybe 170+ on a dyno without the wind resistance.

  • vmax vs bking vs k1200r ...lets see it

  • The Magna is a great bike but there's no chance it would defeat the new Max, not even the old Max. Still a nice bike though.

  • You sir are on some good glue if you think a stock magna will go 170+ mph.

    Stop sniffing gasoline buddy.

  • a V65 magna, will go 160+ maybe 170+ why not?, its a V4 1100cc, has 6 gears plus, its a Honda. I had a V65 and went 160, didnt had the balls to keep on going, 160mph on 6th gear and 7000 RPM, still 4000 RPM to go....

  • its gay id rather have the older version

  • the horse power in motorbikes is gettn rediculous. 200 at the rear wheel is just silly.

  • A V-max with no V-boost. It's like a bad joke...esp at 18K

  • This bike is the quickest cruiser ever! But out on the highway my v-65 Honda Magna would leave The Vmax in the dust!

  • uh, no. you obviously have no idea what youre talking about. In "stock" form? yes, b/c they dont want to infuriate the insurance companies.

  • you are either living in a fantasy world or just a bullshiter get real i hope you live in western canada or a northwest state i will meet you at any track and race you

  • might be pretty quik in the 1/4 but Im pretty sure once my zx-12 gets into 2nd gear Id never see it again

  • your missing the point matey top speed is not what bikes like this are about

  • V-max super fast but I'd go with V-Rod Harley!

  • a harley... dang.. the vrod is the only harley id ever consider buying.. but no.. harleys... no..

  • id buy a buel thats the closest to a harley i want to ride

  • i know what you mean. this bike is crazy. 200 hp would be kinda scary to fuck around with.

  • wow it could always do that unimpressed

  • LOL! The 'Busa might lose stoplight to stoplight but after that the Weemax would be a speck in the mirror. I'm waiting for someone with the new Max to show up in town. I'll fire up the B-King and show them what's what.

  • I was thinking of changing my Nightrod Special for one of these...looks hideous - it looked great in the photos.

  • to be totally honest, i like the design of the older vmax than the new star design.

  • kind of awkward when they drop the curtain and noone claps, haha.

  • wow, i want this! but then again, i would likely kill myself on it, i still ride 250's, lol.

  • I want one. And a set of pipes

  • Hey, that exhaust makes it sound like sh*T. This is going to make the after-market rich.

  • I'll keep my B-King, thanks. Although the Vmax is definitely bad ass, the cost is just too much for what you get. I got the B-King for $11,000 out the door.

  • Good choice! B-Kings rock!

  • VMax wishes it was a B-King!

  • NO! It wishes it was MT-01! ;-)

  • crazy price ....

  • hey, i am a harley guy all the way but this new vmax is special and different. the vmax ain't a cheap rice burnin plastic crotch rocket or just another copy cat of a harley cruiser, i like it. once again it will make the vmax the meanest machine on the road just like it was in the mid eighties, even though it ain't my style, it is a bike that deserves a respectful second look.

  • super nice looking bike.. lame exhaust ='( very lame

  • that can be changed wink wink

  • 20.000€ em Portugal ? ? ? :(

  • You know what ? You you dont like the bike STFU !!! I'm tired off ppl who say that they dont like it...until you didnt driven it, you have no right to say that the bike sucks just by looking at it.

  • where is the bike? all i see is smoke!

  • Damn! It scared me when it first came out, and now it's scared me again!

  • Ok children (referencing previous posts)

Bike is bad ass but what is the infatuation with burn outs? I want one but only 2500 are being sold so its $18000 are they going to raise volume in 2010 and reduce price? The last generation v-max was around 10K if I remember right

  • 20000€ in germany :(

  • I have an 83 Honda V65 magna that will match it in qtr mile eta and blow it away at top end 163 mph..i paid $3000 for it.whos stupid..my et is 10.92 documented...bring it on ..plus your payment book

  • I thought the new 2009 Vmax could do well below 10.92? Some are predicting 9s! The older model did high 10s with ~140hp, the new model is said to be ~200hp.

  • You will have to take at least 1-1.5 sec off your 1/4 mile time to say in the game... ;-)

  • your v65 will get stomped.

  • They are nice bikes. My friend had one. But I will take my 97 Vmax any day. Style is hands down better with the max. Looks like a muscle car, not a Shadow. Just raced a co-workers Repsol CBR1000rr, dead even up to 80 mph so please don't talk smack about the your magna dusting a Max...it won't happen unless the rider is a retard.

  • LMAO @ a V65 Magna touching this bike....you're on some really good drugs. Your bike is a dated old POS.

I had one years ago, they were fast for their time, but get dominated today. Hell, you'd be lucky to beat my stock CBR600RR, which I personally ran a 10.74 on.

Not only does your old tank not run 10.9's...even if it did, that's not close to what the new Max is going to run.

Anyway, go brush your mullet, and get a better job, so the only argument you have won't be the price.

  • @yellowstoneranger I call bullshit.

  • 18k is doable!!

  • What ever happened to the classic looking muscle bike? It looks like something out of a Will Smith movie! The designers are trying to hard.

  • Totally agree, this one is packing major heat but I liked the looks of the original better.

  • This thing is truly an engineering masterpiece. Check out vmax micro site from Yamaha website. Without the engine detailing, it has an out of the tuner shop ready for business kind of look. Me like.

  • i want one

  • yep, my bad an v 4 .Sounds and looks like its more comfortable then my suzuki.

  • Is it a Yamaha ? it looks like a tricked out MT01

  • Its the all new VMax from Yamaha = Star Motorcycles as they brand it in the US

  • i want it!!! they need to post prices along with these videos

  • the price is allmost 18k man

  • return of legendary widow maker?

  • "tddtd....today" *hehe*

  • I agree about time, that exhaust needs a lot of work. Its sound way to much like an inline 4.

  • It is an inline four right.Kind a crusiers with a sportbike motor.I,ll get an older model.

  • NO look at the web page its a V4 with no grunt to it..... My 96 with super traps sound killer!!!!!!!

  • Well imagine this one with Supertraps or ANY aftermarket pipe... ;-)

  • its a v-4 not inline

  • V-4 please! I have a '92 & will be happy w/o a bank note for mine. This is a v. well done replacement. I am happy with mine though.

  • Um, the "V" in Vmax = V4.

Always has been, and always will be a V4.

  • 23yrs later and to think the first V-Max was the real V-max's son !! THIS thing is sick !!! Welcome to reality Mr. Max !

  • Yes please.

  • Yep, I agree, sites here in the US give a hp number of 197.4, close enough to 200. Have to do somethin about that exhaust tho, it's not loud enough!

  • yamaha site for europe says it's 200hp!!!

  • About time, whats the hp I wonder?

  • Its about time, I cant wait for this thing to stomp the shit out of the BKING! The Legend has returned on top again for qaurter mile kings. I cant wait to see the Hayabusa and ZX14 to get stomped by the one and only VMAX!!

  • Yes it will be fun.

  • hell fucken yeah.

  • No words.

  • Awesome !
