DSP demonstration on the Yaesu FT-857D transceiver.

I'm eying an 897 and saw another video comparing a 300 Hz filter to DSP. Nearly the same! I wonder if the 500 Hz filter would be a better choice but heck, Yaesu's DSP is great enough without spending 150 USD for another filter! 73 de KB7L. Great video BTW. Dit dit.

Hi I have since installed a Inrad 300hz filter, and I must say it is worth the money. The DSP, while it is effective on CW, it does not (or at least I have not been able to make it work) work so great on AFSK. With the 300hz filter, AFSK is in a whole new league.

I will make another video with a demo of the 300hz filter before too long.

I would get the 300 over the 500, it is perfect for CW and RTTY, no ringing,

I picked up a Inrad 300hz used for 80 bucks shipped,
