  • Simply stated, NOBODY has a right to terminate innocent human lives. I'm also not here to deal with events of 500 years ago. One is totally unrelated to the other. Abortion did not exist 500 years ago.

Your comment about Columbus is totally off base. I thought you were going to drop your campaign against the "Patron Saint" of our Honored Order, but perhaps I was wrong.

WE care for those children whose lives are being snuffed out in the womb. It's wrong to do that, and so we fight it.

  • There is so much foolish commentary about The Catholics in this videos comment section, show's how stubborn, ignorant and dumb some folks are. I come in peace looking for good energy to further strengthen my desires to keep being great. And I guess this is what God wanted me to do here, you guys wasted some of my time, and then God showed me, it's a test, that I can pass or ignore and not gain anything from.. ;)

Civilization occurred eons ago, educate yourselves with proper communication.

  • the knights need to put their mouth where their money is.

Let them actually produce, and end abortion, then give them the money that they mooch. We give these pro life right wingers thousands and thousands because they claim that they are "fighting for the right to life" and then they promote the "kill em all and let god sort it out" philosophy..

They don't give a spit about life... just money ... and an elitist Catholic Church!

  • @dirtbagcatholics Abortion is only one thing that we are concerned with. We are also very active with Special Olympics. I have served as part of our Honor Guard for the parade of Special Olympians here in my state, and plan to do so again next month. We also provide scholarships for our members and their families. We hold blood drives, free throw contests for boys and girls, and much more. For the record, I served 2 terms as Grand Knight for my Council.

  • @DeedsResearcher How come you r so concerned about abortion?........when columbus was a murderer of thousands of carribean natives and then started a slave trade with the thousands he didnt kill??? Where is the freakin sanity???

  • @dirtbagcatholics Clearly, sonny, you know NOTHING about the Church OR about the Knights of Columbus. I suggest you go back to school and improve your reading comprehension. As an Order, we do not have legal authority to end abortions. THAT has to be done by ELECTED OFFICIALS! As long as people are dumb enough to elect liberals to office, abortion will remain a scourge.

  • @DeedsResearcher As an Order, we do not have legal authority to end abortions.

As to the prior statement... I know that you don't have the legal authority to end abortions...

My premise is that your club uses the abortion issue to further a political agenda that benefits crony catholicism for the wealthy and influential. This in contrast to providing a real solution to the murder of babies which are socio-economic in nature. T

  • @dirtbagcatholics The vast majority of our members are NOT wealthy by any measure. By the way, we are not a "club", either. We are a Fraternal Order. We are large enough to have NGO standing at the United Nations. alling us a "club" is a real insult. I will not reply to further messages containing such an insult. Bye.

  • @DeedsResearcher The vast majority of your members are the people who actually believe in doing good things and working hard. The big shots who run the racket attend gold plated conventions which price out the rest of these ordinary people. This insures that the knights of columbus is a rich man's club.

It is systemically, in the macro sense, parasitic. A men's group within the Parish can do anything this organization now has preempted without the skimming of money off the top.

  • @dirtbagcatholics Our Order does NOT "skim" anything "off the top". When we hold fund-raisers, 100% of the Net goes to whatever cause we are involved in helping. Example: the Tootsie Roll Drive. We have to pay for the Tootsie Rolls. If a Council pays $100 for Tootsie Rolls, and brings in $1100, a check for $1000 is cut. It is split 2 ways: 70% to the State Special Olympics, and 30% to the local. And no "men's club" can do the things the K of C can do. Goodbye.

  • @DeedsResearcher NIce story! I've been there and seen it occur on a repetitive basis. And, I've seen it covered up. And I've seen whistle blowers ( I was never one of them) treated like dirt! Treated like dirt? Why? Because it's the way the rich boy's club operates and they like it that way.

One inspired scriptural statement that I like...." Be careful what you do within the secrecy of four walls! For at the very hour of your death, it will be shouted from the roof tops! Clean it up!!

  • @DeedsResearcher Affecting a real change in the rate of fetal destruction is socio-economic in nature.

But this agenda doesn't further right wing politics.

  • @dirtbagcatholics As a little FYI, sonny: The Knights of Columbus does not engage in partisan politics. It is explicitly forbidden to bring partisan politics into Council Chambers. We do not endorse people who are running for office, and as an Order, we do not donate to any candidates...even if they are Knights! Suggestion: learn the facts about us before making any more foolish comments about our Honored Order.

  • This is a video about a man who is devoted to praying for an end to abortion. Can the rest of you please stay topical. The "comments" section is supposed to be about the video. If you have a problem with the Catholic Church, maybe you should take that up with a priest. If you are so inspired to make this world better, why don't you do something rather than complain and point fingers.

  • @Bernadettedec25 Well said

  • I stopped being a catholic many years ago. At best I'm an agnostic now. There's no way I would ever back an organisation with such a sinister leadership. Finally though, the pigeons are comming home to roost. It's obvious that the highest levels of the church hierarchy were aware of the child sexual abuse cover ups. If it was any other organisation, the top brass like the pope would have long been arrested! How anyone could be a member of the knights of columbus is beyond me.

  • @wjl1970 Thank you for coming clean. It a first step in a long road. You have earned some respect because of this but, you still are an untrustworthy commenter. Presenting yourself as one thing when you are not gains you a reputation that is hard to shake. Criticism & questions from a worthy person are a delight to engage in. You are not such a person, but you can be if you want to. Spreading you pain is your priority, & it will only be fueled by it. No comfort shall you find in this work. PAX!

  • @J3radford I'm certainly not "in pain" - I'm just not staying silent while the rogue organisation of the catholic church continues to operate only to protect itself while leaving victims in it's wake. I wear my lapsed catholic badge with pride - but in fairness - I wouldn't be a big fan of organised religion in general. Let's all come together as real men and advocate for the arrest and trial of senior clerics!

  • Its a shame that those who do not help others think that those who do are sick. The knights don't sell anything we raise funds to help those who need the help Haiti, vets, special need children, families who lost loce ones at 9-11, those who need wheel chairs. To those who smirk at what we do go out and do something for somone in need and feel good about yourself. Vivat Jesus

  • @bigbob07087 What about the people who make great contributions to society without the need for a male dominated clergy calling the shots. I don't fault the Kof C for helping people. - it's just the mix of the male dominated catholic church and it's warped belief systems that taints what is done. - If you ever want to see the church's poor track record of protecting the young and vulnerable come to Ireland - it's not a pretty sight!

  • As a Catholic man I am outraged by the pro life movement.... esp. when it's men that do the preaching. It's an absolute disgrace for any man to try and intimidate scared pregnant young women and use guilt in an effort to control womens' bodies. If you have a penis you don't have the right to tell women what to do withg their bodies! One thing is for sure.... if men could have babies and unplanned pregnancies.... the church would make abortion a sacrament!

  • @wjl1970 - Wow! Sounds like your wounds are deep. I pray for your healing.

Please be honest with yourself, men do most of the talking into abortion not the talking out of abortion.

And why would you claim to belong to a church (Catholic Church) when you know "one thing is for sure" that it could be so against the teaching of the man who founded it, Jesus? You should retract your statement or restate it with the truth that you are not Catholic anymore. The truth will set you free.

  • @J3radford Don't worry about praying for my healing. - I stopped being a catholic a long time ago. It's amazing how people never question the belief systems of the religion they subscribe to. Even a cursory reading of the bible would indicate that much of catholic doctrine is not biblical and is in fact based around ancient babylonian belief systems. - Even more concerning is catholic traditions which are nothing more than the psycho-sexual dysfuntions of an all male clergy.

  • KofC is a play dirty scam. It spends a million dollars a day to buy respect for arrogant rich clowns. It is a disgrace to the Church. Heaven help us if they get the monopoly that they are striving for.

  • members of the Knights of Columbus are not rich people in fact many are middle class who give of thier time to do good for thier community the time they give of themselves is not measureable in money.

  • @bigbob07087 There are scads of well meaning Christians who are conned into joining the organization to do good things.. The secrecy lies in the core group of dirtbags who use the total effort that should be done within the Parishes and the Diocese (plural) to create a sort of CAtholic Amway.

And the big shots are rich and have temporal prestige... "A tree is judged by the fruit it bears." That's a truism... just look at where these phony clowns hold their conventions. Valet parking costs$500

  • Only in the minds of hateful, ignorant people can Knight be the word that describes something evil. The KoC has done more to help the world than any person here on youtube. If any member of the Knights has done anything wrong, being human it is possible, then they forsake their Knighthood. If the Knights as a whole get blamed for the very few bed ones, then your left wing hate filled cause should also get blamed for your words and actions as well.

  • @CatholicSpartan Remember...God is not stupid... and He Is Not Blind

  • @primoabruzzi Well said. The Knights will be judged just as we all will be. The Knights will have much more good i believe to cover what ever their sins may be. While you argue on Youtube, they help the needy, and bring the word of God to the world. While most of us do nothing, they fight in the courts to help the unborn, and strive to keep God apart of America. God is indeed not blind.

  • @CatholicSpartan Well, I've expressed my opinion. And I'm not going to gain anything by going one on one with an organization that spends a million dollars a day to buy respect. I've just expressed an opinion, and "If I'm Lyin' I'm dyin.. and I mean in the spiritual sense..

  • @primoabruzzi A million dollars a day? Okay. PROVE IT, big mouth! That's a lie, and YOU KNOW IT! We, as an Order, put Charity as our first priority. Last year, we donated over $130 MILLION do a host of charitable and worthwhile causes...not all of them Catholic, either. We also provided some 70 million hours of volunteer time to a host of worthy causes. We never ask for anything in return. PERIOD!

  • @CatholicSpartan And according to the glitzy PR... they have actually encouraged Christ our Savior to "stand down" while they suffer and die on the Cross in His Stead...

knights of columbus is in fact a Roman Catholic disease.. It doesn't have to be...IF YOU CLEAN HOUSE...BUT THAT WOULD DEMAND A PARADIGM CHANGE!

  • @primoabruzzi "Glitzy PR"? What "glitzy PR" are you talking about? I've seen and read ALL of our literature, and NOTHING even comes close to matching up to what you assert. Kindly provide the proof of your claim, or else retract your statement.

FYI: I've been a Grand Knight, Faithful Navigator, District Deputy, and a member of our Supreme Council. Our Order is hardly what any sane person would call a "disease", so perhaps the disease here is your mind?

  • Talk not of what you know nothing about. ???

The Knights use their mass marketed prestige... much of it stolen by skimming off the top of charitable work that they also publicize to get the prestige..

They use this prestige to insure that when they do play dirty. And in my opinion they very often PLAY DIRTY! When they play dirty and get caught...they only need a bullshit story to lie out of it.

  • Well its pretty clear that you do not know what you are talking about.

The Each Knights Council raises money for usually local events. For example, they may host a breakfast and charge 7 dollars per person to raise money for a local effort i.e. a crises pregnancy center in the town they live in, or scholarships for children of the town, or parish they live in.

National funds come from clearly marked raffle tickets and membership dues.

There is no skimming off the top as you say.

  • @fforrett Allow me to make some productive suggestions to eliminate the ability of an organization based on extortion, and personal prestige to dominate male participation.

Ban all KofC organizations from any Parish that doesn't have a men's association.

The men's association should be open to all men in the Parish, including partners of women Catholics.

The parish should have a solid phone list of all men in the parish, and if and when the KofC takes charge of an event..they must call.

  • @primoabruzzi Ban the K of C from the Parish? Are you out of your mind? Blessed John Paul II called us "The Strong right arm of the Catholic Church": We appreciate the High compliment paid to us by His Holiness. Understand this: We do not "take over" anything in any parish. If and when the Pastor asks us for help, we help to the best of our abilities. Period.

  • @fforrett They must call all of the men (at least on a rotational basis) for participation.

The members of the men's association cannot be charged dues.

The members of the men's association maintain parity status with the KofC "top dogs"

The credit for any function goes to the members of " The Parish". And the credit for the participation and input of the KofC should be spelled out accurately and concisely..

  • @fforrett Also, there should be an iron clad policy that the KofC cannot take donated money for specific Charities and then cut a check in the name of KofC... only to take total credit for the generosity of others... and then the final "disgrace in God's eyes" claim ownership of property that belongs to the original charity... such as Boy's Club.

If the KofC uses "In and Out money" to get bragging rights... It should cease to grub for more!

  • PS All the right wing jingoism is a front for the promotion of the republican party. They run their own elections like Florida State runs them. Oh, and by the way Jeb Bush is a Knight.

  • The Knights of Columbus does not endorse ANY politician or party. In fact discussion of politics is explicitly discouraged for council meetings. Knights are just as likely to vote for a pro-life democrats as a pro-life republican. Of course many knights will vote for someone pro-choice based on what they believe is a separation of social issues from life issues.

You clearly have an ax to grind and are not telling all.

  • @primoabruzzi You're damned right he's a Knight! Third Degree, last I heard...from his brother George. George has also come out in public and urged Jeb to "aim for the fourth". How do I know? I was there when George made the statement, in Dallas, at our 2004 Supreme Convention (to which I was an elected delegate from NH). At this writing, I do not know if Jeb has reached the Fourth Degree. Be it known: JFK was a Fourth Degree Knight, and proud of it!

  • Knights of Columbus is a racket. Catholic Amway for the arrogance of rich dominant Catholic Males. They skim a big percentage off the top of everything that they touch, and the big shots strut around like peacocks.

  • You have no Idea what you are talking about. There are few Christian lay organizations that do as much to evangelize the populac by living out Jesus Gospels in both word and deed. 100% of LAMB moneys goto those mentally handicapped in need in any of the respective locales where Knights serve. The organization is ultra conservative with money and directs its funds in a manner that holds true to their vision. Talk not of what you know nothing about.

  • Knights--a most preeminant hate org. go girls.

  • Great Presentation. I was very touched by it. Corpus Christi Knight
