  • your cat looks like my cat lol

  • cats are a pain the ass when unboxing thing coming home with groceries^^

  • Hello a macsek aranyos , és nagyon figyel minden mozdulatot . A cucc nagyon komoly . :-)

  • Cat made me laugh...

  • Typical cat, no help at all, just watches and then pisses off...

  • I had the 703 speakers, but they are WORSE THAN my 705 ! ! ! The 705 ARE CLEANER, and RICHER in the sound ! - I sold the 703, and bought the 805S seria. THEY SOUND GRATE ! CLEAR, RICH, with Huge soundstage !

Even the 683 are much better than the 703 !

  • @SuperiorHuns You fucked up cos all you had to do was move the speakers around in yr room & used the options of isolating the 703's on a hefty wooden base or shoved some socks in the bung (my guess was you had a bass boom problem)

  • Get rid of the cat!!!

  • very very cool dude. Are they sounding even better now they have been broken in a little??

  • Поздравляю! С проводами ещё не намучился?)))

  • I'm loving the cat! Our cat is the same, just snooping around when we bring stuff home. Oh yes, and the B&W's are nice but that kitty thats what its all about for me!

  • HEY CHECK MY KEF REFERENCE SPEAKERS IN ROSEWOOD - Powered by Musical Fidelity SUPER CHARGER POWER AMPS

  • I have b&w 703 speakers also played with creek 5350se amp and denon 2900 player. These b&w 703 are amazing speakers how do you like yours so far

  • @musicnut24 I love them, nothing's been the same since. I've been working on a theater room for the last year. I'll have a making of vid asap.

  • yeah.....i can almost hear the next comment coming from stewbee: "you took what i said out of context".

calling the guy a "sucker" because you think he paid too much, and then rubbing in his face that you only paid $500 for the exact same speakers, while sarcastic, is hardly humorous...it's just mean. By the way, B&W 703's are NOT $500 speakers. The MSRP for a pair of 703's is $3000.

So rather than compliment the guy on his (very nice) system, you resort to questionable humor. Ok...I get it.

  • @phantasm1004 I paid 5K for the speakers and components over 2 years ago.

  • @rimbs ....Oh I believe you bro. The system you have is not a system that everyone has! Your system is SWEEEEEET, and I only wish I could afford something like that myself! Anyway, I know you're enjoying it....and I'll bet it ROCKS!!! Damn I wish I was there to hear it!!

  • What a sucker! You paid way too much!! I got a pair of these for 500 bucks from some guys who work at the speaker warehouse and they had a whole bunch of them in a white van they were trying to unload because their boss had overstocked them. Only 500 bucks for a 5,000 dollar system!! Am I lucky? or what!

  • @stewbee123 Dude....what is with you??? Why do you feel it necessary to piss on this guy's moment?? Seriously....what is wrong with you??? Yeah sure....you only paid $500 for a pair of speakers that you have no idea where they came from. Yeah....you're lucky all right. I hope you never run into any problems with them.....just try looking for the seller when it's time to honor the warranty. Yeah.....how lucky are you feeling NOW?????

  • @phantasm1004 I guess my attempt at sarcastic humor was not well received, do a search for "white van speakers" and you'll find a world wide scam going on with guys in white vans selling worthless "high end" speakers for 3-4 hundred bucks. i'm sorry I got you all worked up. These B&W speakers are the real deal, and worth the money.

  • @stewbee123 You're BS-ing. You know that was a scam that everyone knows about now, please dude.

  • I Like the Cat!

  • Great collection! But something is missing. A good turntable?

  • money well spent. love that cat,

  • haha your cat xD anyways sweet system my dream speakers is one of them in the 800 series too :D got 685s right now :P

  • Your cat is amazing!

  • Where do you live ?

I wanna listen to thid great stuff !

Ok, i''ll wait 2 days for my own Rotel stuff

  • those speakers good for movies? I got klipsch rf82s but thinking of moving to b&w, esp 703 speakers.

  • if you dont mind my asking how much did this setup cost you ? exactly its all about the music. i love seeing fellow audiophiles setups. very nice man

  • The cat is like "More scratch post?"

  • very nice

  • great video, I think if i had all that kit I would have done it quicker though.

  • i like your cat that just watches you set-up.

  • cool video ;)

  • these speakers are porn, I want them

  • Congrats on the purchase but I lol at the fact that you put all this Hi-Fi equipment on a plastic stand from Walmart

  • @doomtomb3 Agreed, I've moved since then and have a proper wooden piece of furniture.

  • Nice set up! Can't beat B&W speakers! Very nice. Wow.....cute AND an audio fan!

  • Very nice system ! Like BassThatHz said, see if you can upgrade to a RB-1080 if you can. The overall sound will benefit a lot, plus, the RB-1080 can be had for a small price in the secondhand market.

I almost bought the same 703's, until I saw an add for secondhand N 804's. Bought the N804 three years ago for 2200 euros, and sold them this year for 1800 (tiny little upgrade to secondhand N802's ! ) The 703's are great speakers, if the upgradeitis has not bit you yet, enjoy them for years !

  • @bwzes03 Thanks, and regarding the upgradeities. I want 803D's, but I'm in no hurry :)

  • haha im mad jealous i hate youuuu

  • @jayaws86 haha, thanks?

  • Wow , i think this fellow is a good man with a plenty of money to buy these stuffs.

    Good set-up indeed.

  • @coolferds06 ty

  • what was the song used in this video?

  • @skfdz Jigsaw Falling Into Place by Radiohead

  • like a lil boy at christmas eve ;) congratz

  • hey man can we hear it? is that it playing as you build it?

  • @woodyate I have since moved and my setup has gotten better, I'll be doing another video asap.

  • You have a very helpful cat. Did he get a cardboard box for the work?

I have a similar system with Cantons though. It's on for about 8 - 16 hours a day. I love it.

  • hey man great video, i vwas just wondering how much the set cost you!! i love these speakers and it is hard to find any where thetll say the price ...

  • @uri0113 the 703's are no longer manufactured, they're 3K a pair. The rotel CD player, pre amp, power amp and cable cost me another 2K. I got a bit of a deal because I know my local speaker shop guys.

  • @uri0113 the 703's are no longer manufactured, they're 3K a pair. The rotel CD player, pre amp, power amp and cable cost me another 2K. I got a bit of a deal because I know my local speaker shop guys.

  • wow this makes my stereo seem like crap...i have a good pioneer receiver....some sony ss-f6000's with a sony saw3000 subwoofer.....and 2 nice tannoy bookshelf seakers....well im just 14...so ill be getting a better system in collage

  • did you ever thought of buying new room acoustics????

  • @07martin1981 I've moved since, i had a room dedicated to listening and viewing now. I'll make a video of it asap.

  • Now I'm very dubious about the reviews I read about hifi racks. I'm sure they make a difference but is it all that much of a difference?

Either way I'd look to upgrade that rack you have the Rotel gear sitting on, just from watching the whole thing wobble @ 1:54 when you pressed the eject button.

I hear the Podium (wooden) rack is one of the best & most expensive ones you can buy. The Atacama modular stands are cheaper but well respected & truly solid (& metal).

  • I've upgraded and moved, I'll have a new video up asap.

  • 0:03 "yay" for the soundtrack... guess I should unpause it now.

  • can't wait to see the new video rimbs. congrats on the plasma.

  • Nice, I almost bought the 703´s a fantastic speaker, i ended up with B&W 801 series 80.

  • the 803D is my dream speaker.

  • very nice video.i would be loving them the same way. great set up.

  • Great video! Unboxing is always the best part :D I'm very happy for you!

  • Excellent video & editing, superb system! I'm very happy for you!

Love the cat, too! She helped you there.

  • Thanks for the kind words, glad you enjoyed it. I just got them set up at a new location with JPS audio speaker cables and a new 50" SAMSUNG Plasma. I'll post the video of that system and setup asap.

  • Haha love the shelf.

  • Super Sprzęcik :) Gratuluję :)

  • its funny watching your cat watch you in fast motion.

  • Don't forget the floor spikes.

  • They were spiked in that room, but I just finished building my new man cave at a different house. I'll make sure to upload the "making of video" to youtube when I'm done

  • Molto simpatico!

  • Excellent video. Wonderful system!

  • Nice system dude - check mine out..I too like good Equipment just like you...!!! Enjoy

  • I know a couple of people who own 703's, one runs nad, and the other has simaudio components. absolutely beautiful speakers. love them. I have a set of 683's and hope someday b&w bring the 7 series back, because I would totally buy a set.

  • This is a great system. I've owned a pair of 704. It sounds marvelous with McIntosh amps and triodes. Please to check "EL34 Manley Snapper..." to see a strange but unique dutch speakers. Your comments will be very appreciate.

  • I like B&W sound but only for music but not for Home Theater. I tried going with B&W but it just did not feel right. yes the clarity, transparency and dimensionality was all there but one very important thing that was missing was dynamics. I didn't return the B&W's, I kept them in my listening room aka living room but installed JBL S2C Synthesis in my main theater much more dynamics and still retains audiophile sound to it very impressive.

  • b&w stopped producing this speakers.

  • That's why I bought them ;)

  • you very funny. check my rotel system...

  • What exactly are the Rotel components in your system?

  • good for you man, very nice rig. I would have liked to heard it.

  • the cat got my attention ahahah cute

  • Really...Bose? The laws of physics are why Bose couldn't even approach these speakers. Opinion has nothing to do with it. Like what you like, but don't make comparisons based on preference.

  • Bose is not in the same arena as BW...

  • Sound's all about personal opinion, I was just stating that opinion, as that's what this comment thing's all about.

And your comment was your opinion so I respect you for that...

  • I totally agree, sound is very much a matter of opinion. However, the quality of workmanship is vastly different between Bose and BW... I'm glad you're happy with your system, but BW is worth the premium price for the quality of sound and longevity.

  • @Ager909 Bose=====Buy Other Sound Equipment

  • Take a listen to B&W 800 series at a speaker shop some time. While you're listening, think about the sound from your Bose speakers, I think you'll be surprised.

  • LOL @TeeTeeXD94 Your hilarious

  • B&W are the best ! They sound really sweet ! They will last you a lifetime... no need to upgrade there.

  • I'm hoping they last me a while. I eventually want a pair of 803D's.

  • who needs to go to a concert when you can bring it into your living room! geez, i shouldn't have listened to these, now my polks sound...distorted and flawed lol *sigh*

  • Hey what kind of cat is that dude. D

  • A tiger cat.

  • les chats c'est vraiment des branleurs

  • EXCELLENT MAN !!!

  • I like this video because of that cat. Hi is so funny. :)) hihi

  • great video, great setup. How long did the setup take in total?

  • It took about an hour to setup.

  • Rotel and B&W is a match made in heaven. I am sure they sound lovely. Now save up and upgrade to nautlius when you can cause the only possible upgrade i can imagine.

  • Thanks, I'm getting a PV1 eventually. I'm very happy with my setup right now tho.

  • love the cat :)

  • Nice setup sir :). But i sure dont hope your cd player is on top of that amp... :/ Thats dangerous man... Your amp might overheat and your cd players laser can get ruined :O Sry my bad english

  • I think that cd-player is on top of preamp and that doesn't heat up that much, or at all. Poweramp is by itself on the bottom.

  • You are correct!

  • the CD player is by itself above. thanks tho :)

  • My grandfather and my father have a whole bunch of old vinyl. I used to listen to them when I was young, I'm sure it'll bring me back ;)

  • nice speakers...get a sunfire sub to go with them.

  • I'm saving up for a PV1, although I don't really need it, the 703's can hold their own ;)

  • Very very nice speakers. I have the 683!!! Are you happy that you buy this speakers??

    5 Sterne

  • Beautiful Video! What brand is that component stand? I am buying a pair of 802's soon but i stll love my 703's so i am keeping them.

  • About how much did that system run? I a am wanting to do an upgrade to mine and I'm trying to get some ideas.

  • I got a deal, but about $3,500.

  • A cat and a decent stereo system. Perfect for chilling out. Personally i would have gone for an Arcam system to drive them speakers. Just my opinion..... :)

  • I thought I was the only one who made love to my stystem lol!! That was an awesome video. Great idea!!

  • thanks

  • Almost forgot to ask..WHERE THE HECK IS THE TURNTABLE lol?

  • REGA, coming soon, just moved into a new place.

  • bose? yeah, sure. Def Tec 7000's up front with a CLR 3000 and (4) BPX's for surrounds/backs, Denon 5308 handling the pre/pro with Adcom taking care of the power duties.

oh, and a SVS Ultra 13 for off the earth low end reproduction and a 60" Kuro handling the vid.

I know, complete garbage...maybe I should post a vid of it and me caressing away.

Eventually I'll construct a music room and integrate some 802 D's, but that's a bit down the road.

    keep talking, gayrod.

  • I love the 803d's I almost spent all my money on them, but I figured I have to take steps in life, I can't afford everything I want right now.

  • Whatever the sexuality, there's no doubting his system shits all over your BOSE.

  • very cool get you a high end turntbale like the technics. you will love how the lps sound on the bws

  • Picking up a REGA in the future.

  • Its funny watching you hug your 703's I did the same thing 6 years ago when I got mine! Did you buy the REGA t/t?

  • I'm still setting up my system in my new condo, I've yet to buy it. I'll try to post with more stuff when i do.

  • LOL i kiss my speakers too ,,,,i have Rotel the sound is beautiful ,,,,where is the second part of the video ????

  • I hope he didn't play any of that yuppie boy music, maybe he put in some Joe Walsh, he should wear gloves like a true audiophile when handling new expensive equiptment, but then again these Rotel units are made in China, better go with the new NAD Master Series, wait, those are made in China as well, not Denmark like the old Silver Series units,,damn !

  • Nice. Molesting the goods! I do to when I get new toys! You should've seen what I did to my speakers!

  • I know how you feel when you hugged your new speakers.

    You are one lucky man.

  • where did you get your stand?

  • the cat seems to like them

  • A little too much, thankfully I just bought a new place, I'm going to have a separate A/V room that he won't be allowed in.

  • Sweet system, my new system is coming in the next few days. I am getting a Rotel 1560, B&W 683's, and a PV1 subwoofer! The guy said not to go with the 700 series, he said that they almost sound the same as the 600 series, he said the next major step is the 800 series, I can't afford it :( Nice setup anyways!

  • Awesome video!

  • Thanks :)

  • And don't forget to put a field rat-traps and mines around those speakers. All ye who pass here be warned.

  • Well done very nice system

  • thnx, I just bought a condo. Got a big basement I'm going to finish off, I'll make another video when I set up the 803's there.

  • Man, I'd be keeping that cat the fuck away from those speakers. Speaker covers are like heroin to the junkies that are felines.

I hope you're listening to more than Radiohead on that system, too. I love Radiohead, but they suffer a bit from the English rock habit of compressing the hell out of shit. There's even a version of Nude on YouTube with the clipped peaks restored.

  • Exactly! (regarding the cat), I cover the speakers with the original boxes when I'm not using them. I don't want my cat to destroy the grills.

And I'm buying a REGA record player and all the radiohead albums when I move into my new place. I'm looking forward to it.

  • Ahh, the lovely loveliness of vinyls, eh?

I hope that helps that mastering problems a bit. Trouble is that, some of these albums are mastered for CD first, and then just sent for vinyl pressing, in which case they have to turn then signal down so the needle doesn't jump, but it's already mashed :(

I understand that Radiohead likes a claustrophbic sound, but I think there's better ways of going about it than bricked masters.

    Anyway /ramble.

  • hehe

  • eeee ...play ..this system ...i dont hear this pair ...bad boy ...i wait you ...start this system...i wont to hear this ..boxes ...ehhhh :-(

  • I figured there's no point in playing them, cuz you're not actually hearing the speakers, you'd be hearing your speakers...

  • ....I can tell just when your talking that the room is to a live....

  • Hey Rimbs. I am debating on adding an external amp to tmy Rotel RSX1057 receiver which is 5x75. Either the 1070 with 130 x 2 WPC to power the 704's or the 120 x 5 for the 704 fronts, 705 rears, and htm7 center thoughts? Anyone?

  • Well just remember that a majority of your sound is going to come out of that center channel, so yeah the htm7 would be great. I'd keep the RSX, get the htm7 and see how the whole system sounds. Don't buy another amp right away, listen first.

  • rb 1080 is great i just sold mine:( to make funds for my sub and i regret it big time i hate yamaha sound cant wait to buy a 5channel rotel now

  • hi,just like to say that rotel amps are the best sounding amps i have ever heard,i used to own the ra-01,with kef speakers

they were awesome but to make it even better i used russ andrews mains upgrades the difference was amazing RFI cancelling filters.they really do work?

  • Which program of editing have you used for the video?

  • Final Cut Pro

  • nice setup dude speakers are real nice thats what i should be upgrading to as my amp is way too powerful for my 602 s2's. But ive taken a different approach to buying audio gear, ive started at the bottom and worked my way up and its been an amazing journey of sound setup's now i own rare audio kit which amazes anyone who dares listen to it

  • Is the RB-1070 enough for the 703's? I don't blast my music so it might be a good match. What was the deciding factor not to get the RB-1080? Money?

  • I would highly recommend the RB-1080 even if you don't blast music it will still sound better. My RB-1091 sounds better than two bi-amped channels from my RMB-1075, even at only 50-60db.

It is a more effortless and natural quality sound.

  • Comment removed

  • I figured the 1070 had enough power. I was going to go for the integrated, but I changed my mind at the last minute.

  • Hey rimbs, I got a pair of the 704, 705 for surrounds and HTM7. They are runningof a Rotel receiver. I chose to go with the 704 so the front stage would match for DVD's in 5.1. I LOVE this series, very beutiful and priced well. I heard they were going to discontinue due to not making enough $. Must mean they are great bang 4 your buck if that is the case.

  • They're actually under priced, I got mine right before they went discontinued.

  • That's a nice system you got and I like the way you were kissing your B&Ws. I did the same with my Rare TDL 0.75M speakers.

Are you going to get a turntable next?

  • I was just looking at a REGA turntable yesterday as a matter of fact. I'm anxious to get new speaker cables as well. I'm going to splurge when I finish closing on my condo.

  • Sure ok, I hear people say the Regas are good. And also you should try Michell turntables too. Their decks sound nice.

    I have a syncro.

  • I fell in love with 703 speakers as well - can't wait to get them home now. But I am finding it really difficult to find suitable receiver or pre+power amp for these which I can afford. What Rotel component models you got here? Thanks.

  • My power amp is a Rotel RB-1070,

    my pre-amp is a Rotel RC-1070,

and my CD player is a Rotel RCD-1072.

  • Forgot to ask what song is this?

My last rig consisted of a Rotel RC-1070 preamp and RB-991 amp. I think you made the right decision going with separates instead of the integrated amp.

  • It off of "in rainbows", I'm not sure which track. Thanks, I'm happy with it.

  • Lovin the video man and great system choice. Hope you enjoy it for years to come.

  • I am just closing on a condo now, and I'm so syked to have a finished basement and a proper space to keep them in.

  • Eeeehh!!! You cut it on the best part!!! Congrats mate!!! These are wonderful speakers!!! Enjoy!!!

  • The cat is adorable :)

  • Nice setup. Great Video. Much of the logic behind my recent B&W 685 purchase was simply because I wanted something better speakers to reproduce my Radiohead albums.

  • Oooo, that makes me want to get the 'in rainbows' album. I'm adding that to my list of stuff to buy.
