You can always count on F "EL Stupido" users to cruise other DAW users' YT pages proclaiming it's the absolute best - through misspelled words. Go make wack stuff with your cracked stuff and leave Sonar and Studio One, etc.. to the real musicians and producers that don't need a "riff machine" .

Hi, how do i transfer my step sq pattern into my main track? I also want to set pattern changes through out the song. If i make changes it applys to the first bar again rather than the second, third and so on.

You could drop iTunes music in there ONLY if it isn't bought from the store because Apple have this gay thing called FairPlay or what i call FairGay. There is software to convert these to normal MP3s or unprotected AACs etc.

@EivanRM When you say add music from iTunes, if you mean can you insert (sample) clips from other music into your song, yes Sonar is excellent for sampling. You can use it to make an entire song from samples. You need a different program to cut .wav files from your source. But the concept behind iTunes is that you pay money to buy a lesser format that you can only use the way they want you to. Pay more, get less. Better to rip tracks from a CD or download mp3s from somewhere other than iTunes.

hi, I was wondering what is your latency when recording vocal through the microphone. My ASIO in Sonar 8 Producer didn't work so I used WDM and my latency when I record my vocal through the microphone is 10 msec at 44100khz and 16 bits. And my proformance is bad because the feedback is too late. I mean 10 msec. I just want to know what your latency is. Any good audio interface you would recommend that's cheap?

not trying to dis sonar but 5 minutes to make a bland house beat? You can do that in reason in about 60 seconds or using the rex about 5 seconds to load a loop. Never used sonar and looking at it I'll stick with reason and cubase..each to their own though.

uhhh i got fl studio 8 (my fav) reason 4 (middle lol) and cakewalk (just got it so idk if its the best) but reason is pretty good but my only thing i dont like about it is, that i have a touch sensetive midi keyboard and if i hit my keys a lil bit the volume is low if i give it a lil hit then its louder, if u would know how to fix that i would thank u so much thanks

You should easily be able to do it in the 'tool window/note velocity' or you can go to the propellerheads site and get the 'control surfaces' pdf for your specific keyboard.

ya i found the note velocity but it wasnt what i was looking for like in fl studio u can change the "link note to velocity" and all the notes play at an equal sound level, and thats what im trying to find in reason 4 but its hard ....i might just have to give up reason if i cant find it and stay with fl studio

you can use another drum machine. There's session drummer in sonar, but I don't really like using it. There are some good freeware one s out there though.

@gearwire Hey thanks for the video. Session drummer is what I use. I extended a short pattern throught the song by clicking and dragging on the clip in sonar (Step sequencer was used) I can't move or delete portions of the clip? It gets selected but functions like cut and copy and delete are grayed out. This happenes only for SD. Other midis and vsts are fine. Any help?
