  • Do you use any supplements?

  • @jaspeuhr

I don't. However, I am working with some really smart people and learning as much as I can about them.

  • if you try never to have any tension in your forearms, how did they become so big?` people say they grow together with your upper arm, but i ask my self how, if they never have to work hard.

  • @Xtrem3weirdow

The body is not as compartmentalized as this questions suggests. There is no way, to completely eliminate my hands holding the weights. Thus, any secondary or tertiary tension will be picked up there regardless of how strong my mind is. It adds up over 20 years. I tell you not to put tension in the hands so you can work an intended muscle group. That technique works well. Why train wrists on back day, why train forearms on biceps day. Train forearms on forearms day.

  • A week of rest for the bicep - would that also be the case when your working on adding muscle mass or only to maintain the size, you've acheived at this piont..? I take it, that you're maintaining these days - I mean; after 20 years of working out and perfecting.. I stand corrected if I'm wrong, of cause.

    Peace - from Denmark

  • @Olm9

Hi friend. I am still in slow growth mode. I really never think of maintaining. I think your training can evolve as can your body. It may not get bigger, but certain lagging parts get better if you train them. You start to fit into your skin a bit better, yo know what to do and you have the confidence to know you can change anything at any time. I am training for a bit more mass. Well, I train the same really. I am eating a bit more and using about 10 percent more weight than usual. Vic

  • Do you not use spring collars?

  • @Andrewwearspants

Sure- real helpful, but those weren't going to go any

    where. wink

  • rest, absolutely... as for when and how much, not easy to know... everyone is different... having good sense of self... reacting to how you feel... not forcing it... ...good vid and advice. ty...

  • Great Vid!

  • Hey vic. After working out, what do you eat??

  • @TatoArtavia

Lately, I have been having cheese or yogurt with two pieces of whole grain bread/toast. Vic

  • Amazing biceps , and muscles overall ! Do you have a nutrition section , so we could see what you eat and what supplements are you using ?

  • @BaneTrogdor

I offer my workouts via my site and my nutrition plan. Also, there are other videos where I discuss diet. I do not take any supplements. Vic

  • on 0:47 vic said you can train for bicep shape but

i read that you just can't train to get a desired bicep shape its all genetics. Is this true?!!!!!!

  • @16Camilo26

I have heard this. What part of your bicep is shape that you have determined and what part of it is genetics. Just like our bellies, what part is shape and what part is genetics. One might argue all of us can have a six pack abs- all you have to do is diet and train- that simple. Still others are inefficient fat burners. I offer solutions to those who have given up and said, "Well, it's all genetic". Until we can come up with discernible percentages, I will keep offering solutions.

  • @vicsnatural .... "Where theres a Will, theres a Way"

  • @JeffWebsterTV

    Always Jeff- always.

Hope you have a great holiday- Vic

  • Vic ,I believe I read you now rest about 2 mins between sets? I was wondering what your thoughts on Supersets were, thank!

  • @big58puppy

I do rest 2 minutes. I occasionally do drop sets on a preacher curl for 2 sets. However, generally I don't given that I rest so little between sets as it is. Vic

  • You really do look amazing.

    Great info Vic!

    How tall are you?

  • @you411116tube

Thanks 5'9" is my height. Peace, Vic

  • So the debate ensues about eating. I am delighted to put up any posts that stirs debate. It is good to have a different perspective from everyone. However, when it comes to eating. The debate as I see it is which is more important eating "right" or training. There is a great understanding between men and women that I believe we can all agree, "garbage in - garbage out". This goes for the mind - and the body. It is not a judgmental statement it simply elementary. Love your body- Peace all,Vic

  • Your the best .Vic

  • Hi Vic, how much time do you rest between sets?

  • @MrFalco28 I used to rest about a minute - now I rest two minutes and it has made a huge difference.

    Peace, Vic

  • Hello Vic,

    Excellent Channel and Video.

    Thanks

  • Hello Vic, all your videos are very informative. I've a question. How to build body like the athletes, for example, Manni Pacquiao? These athletes are slim and they weigh very less, but still they are very strong and muscular. How should I work out to get slim and muscular body? I don't wish to have big muscles and look big. I'm 5' 8'' tall and I weight 156 lb. Your advice will be really helpful for me.

Thank you. Keep up the good work. Cheers!

  • @machoboy1983

I am 5'9" and weigh about 169lbs in the video you are watching. I think my training provides a balance- it is weight driven with cardio accents-

  • vic what do you eat my man do you ever indulge on fastfood?

  • @911sanitarium

No friend- I would never do that because I would never eat anything processed. I only eat organic and whole foods. That being said, a cookie made with organic ingredients would be a possibility. However, I wouldn't eat a pre-made cookie, even if it was organic. If I can't see the ingredients at once, to me I won't eat it. Also, I don't eat sugar or white flour either. This special diet- keep me in shape from the inside out. I am also, thoroughly nourished- therefore,no cravings

  • @vicsnatural wow thats amazing i could never do what you do big props and respect.

  • @911sanitarium

Thanks for watching -much appreciated- Vic

  • great tips man completely agree with you vic . Most people forget to do these basic things that's resting their body, in that process strain their body. Keep going mate

  • i really like the info you gave on flexin, will try to do that after a work out...thanks!

  • @1983AK

Keep me posted on your progress- I want to hear after you try it. Peace, Vic

  • Vic, I hear many people say " you have to do low amount of reps to actually gain the muscle." So I was wondering how many reps would you prefer and how many sets for each exercise?

  • @XxLilballa818xX

I like the 7 to 11 range. 4 sets per exercise. , 3 to 4 exercises for big muscles, 2 for smaller muscle groups.

    Peace, Vic

  • thank you vic. your physique is beautiful.

  • Awesome video, Vic! Your videos changed my whole mindset about working out in the gym. Thanks

  • Vic you are super impressive. If you were closer I would want you to train me in person.

  • man why u not shirtless!!

  • @coolmandude

Hi friend- I normally do that and people joke around and ask me if I even own a shirt. Really - wasn't thinking of it that day. I recall it was snowing actually so whatever little warmth this shirt provided was necessary - Peace, Vic

  • That is a sickening peak right there 3:34

  • Excellent video, Thank you!

  • @ninjitsurocks

I like both- So many people are trying to achieve a specific look. I think this type of training provides that more defined physique with a high degree of sculpting as compared to overall size. I do agree that some of the compound movements are good for strength as well. However, I believe there is a much greater risk of injury as well. My job is to keep people safe as well. I view my role here as a caretaker to a degree. So, I weigh rewards and benefits to my friends. Vic

  • Great video Vic, I was just wondering what your opinion was on compound movements vs isolation movements? Do you think compound movements build more muscle? Regards.

  • great advice

  • great vid vic, keep it up

    your boy, Will

  • Another great video Vic, cheers mate!

  • Very informative and well presented as usual Vic, thanks.

  • Thanks for all the help Vic.

  • Thanks for all of the great comments=- So much appreciated. Vic

  • You are the man Vic! Still going strong.

  • U are right! Alotta people dont know this

  • Yea Vic your awesome great attitude, when you get time do lats and give your input on this muscle when you can please.

  • Great job Vic. Thanks for the really good education

  • also your biceps make u look like ur on roids..but ur not just shows how good u really are:)

  • always giving the best advice thanks a lot man!

  • great to see you vic... as muscular and ripped as ever :). Keep up the good work and keep inspiring....

P.S. Your biceps just kill me every time I watch your vids!!!!!! :O

  • Great video...my problem is that I can't do hammer curls..It hurts like hell in my right arm right where the bicep and underarm meet..but I don't feel a thing when I do reg curls..pinched nerve maybe?

  • In the last angle it looks like you're bending forward when putting down the curl. Isn't that against the "we don't want to ruin our backs" mentality?

I'm always trying to keep my back straight and bending my knees instead when putting down weight, wouldn't you recommend that? Or are you doing it and it just doesn't look like it in the vid?

  • My main problem with this is that you can't get a bicep peak through excercises. Either you have it or you don't.

  • @bzeljn thats just a stuuuuuupid myth mate. I had no peak at all and I didnt think i'd be able to have one since everyone told me that it's genetic. Then one day I came across luimarcos channel and he had a different view on the peak discussion. I followed his and Vics advice and now I have one ( i've been working out for about 11 years but since 3 years back i have a peak :). )

  • @bzeljn Two words, PREACHER CURLS. Don't swing them around trying to lift a lot though. Do as much weight as you can while maintaining as perfect form as possible. Take it from me, I've had a peak since I was 15 when I started lifting, but nothing before.

  • @batboyjhg I'm pretty sure I've got low inserting biceps = no peak for me

  • 8:18, damn bro :OOOOO your biceps is the size of my head :)

  • FLEX BICEPS BETWEEN SETS FOR ULTIMATE RESULTS!!! ;)

  • Im just grateful that you are still making videos......keep up the good work!

  • great to see you back vic!

  • One tip you never mentioned. NEVER do over 12 reps...... unless it's leg curls or abs..

  • do you need a week rest per muscle group? my body rests 100 % in only 5 days....

  • Great video, Vic, thanks! I totally get what you mean about relaxing your body while lifting and flexing to improve muscle shape.

I laughed pretty hard when you said "similar to how you guys flex in the mirror before a date" hahaha

  • Hey I just want to ask...I've been working out for years now but my body only gets toned, lean and defined but not big. I've been eating a lot but my body has a high metabolism and there is no way to slow it down. I'm eating 3-4 meals a day and working out intense. In the end its probably genetics but I know it can be beaten...Look forward to watching more of your videos. Maybe you have the breakthrough I need. Also I'm 5"4 and weigh 140 pounds...I was 110 before.

  • @CaptZor I had the same problem. My metabolism was faster than anyone I knew. I managed to gain 45 pounds within about 9 months though. You have to eat a lot of carbs and taking creatine won't hurt. Eat this for breakfast everyday: 2 bagels with cream cheese (highest carb bagels you can find), 2 eggs, 2 pieces of toast (possibly make a sandwich with the egg), a banana, a granola bar, and a meal replacement shake like Ensure. Eat that every morning and I promise you will gain weight.

  • Great video as usual. How many days a week do you train?

  • is it ok to use only a W bar for the arms and not a straight bar ??

  • is it ok to use only a W bar for the arms and not a straight bar ?

  • Vic, what do you think about compound workouts? I know your more of an isolation guy but Ive heard compound workouts are the best for mass.

    Peace

  • Hey guys check out my new bodybuilding cutting meals they've helped me get shredded in 2 months lost 12 pounds down to around 12.5% body fat partly because of this guys thanks :)

  • You are my brother from another mother Vic! Striving to be like you someday..helping people alot. All the best! Love ya Bro!

  • nice video

  • "A perfect weight" Huh, that sounds and feels so right.

  • Also, what is your height?

  • @sarfios

5feet 9 inches tall. Peace, Vic

  • @vicsnatural Hey Vic, that "intensity" you're talking about is called dynamic tension. Look it up if you haven't already.

  • I tried it, but my wrists hurts, how to stay relaxed in the same time...

  • @sarfios you might just have weak wrists, I am the same if you use a easy curl bar you can still get a great bicept workout i work my forearms and wrists on my arm day been doing it for 2 years and I still cant curl with a straight bar without my elbows, forearms or my wrists hurting.

  • Man, I hope you continue to produce these videos - such great information!

  • Your arms are astonishing. The concentrated flexing of the biceps is a good idea and made for the best part of the video.

  • Vic, you mentioned previously that you eat 3 meals a day. Was there ever a time when you ate 6 to 8 meals a day? I find that by increasing my muscle mass over the past 2 years, it has increased my metabolsim substantially and I need to eat at least 5, 6 or 7 meals a day to keep the hunger satisfied.

  • @jackintheboxoffire

Yes- for a growing lad - indeed. I am a bit older- but I only ate 3 large meals per day. We are all so different. You are the best judge of your physique. Try to be instinctive about this. You nailed it that you probably have more muscle on your body and now you have become an efficient user of energy. So, true you probably need more fuel in your body. Vic

  • @jackintheboxoffire an increased metabolism just means you need more calories

  • @jackintheboxoffire so eat more food...doesnt matter how many meals

  • those are some serious biceps. its great to see what can be achieved from 20 years of training naturally.

  • you're a very intelligent man Vic.

    Excellent information.

  • Great stuff, Vic.

  • Vic you are ripped and lean as usual! very inspiring. My shoulders are small in comparison to my traps and back. what should i do? workout heavier with shoulder or more often?

  • @h2soccergod

Friend you should watch my shoulder videos - but you should really get my band workout on the site. When I was having making my shoulders grow I started to use bands, just to make the connection with my shoulders. The constant resistance makes an enormous difference in your workouts. Vic

  • @h2soccergod hi im no expert like vic :b , but i used to have the exact same problem

what i did was put my ego to a side, i trained my shoulders as if i was a begginer ( really light weight, 3 sets of just 2 basic workouts: shoulder press n lateral raises) n finally start to see results, now my shoulders r one of my best body parts cuz i really understood how to train them at 100%, my advice is basically that sometimes is good to start over from the very beginning, hope it helps (:
