The repeat footage in the video irked me back when I saw it on Muchmusic. They turned 2 minutes of CGI into 5 minutes of trash. I've found the song irksome since. :\

You obviously don't understand that music is open to interpretation. One thing to someone may be different to another. Yeah, the whole song seems to have an urgency about it, which makes me feel energized when i hear it. Not sad. We all have our own opinions, try not to be an ass.

The perception of a song is affected by your musical background, mood and sensitivity. When warriner1290 wrote that this is not a great song, I had to object because it is extremely well constructed. That's a factual statement. Whether people have the ability to understand it or not, that's another problem.

Video Blows And doesn't have the aesthetic of the band at all. The other arcade fire videos blow at times too but at least their vibe is accurate. Some nice effects and artwork.
