Scientology may be a cult, but they aren ot forcing people to join them or something (as I understand).

Those people made a mistake. But it is their mistake to pay 200k to a cult.

Still, many people seem to be happy with being a member of the cult. So why not also respect them?

Actually, I have spoken with people who have been given the "personality test" and when this person refused the person wouldln't allow them to leave the room and threatened him with a so called death of a friend who refused to take courses. And he had to bring up violence before the man would let him leave, and even then he still hesitated to make him stay. You can't tell me that's not forceful.
