  • The Aussies and New Zealanders were awesome Soldiers and Allies, Unfortunately Most of them were committed to Africa and other areas when Japan was threatening their homeland in WW2. The 1st Marine Division recuperated there after Guadacanal, They became fast friends with the Aussies. To this day "Waltzing Matilda" is the official song of the First Marine Division

  • Anyone know what branch of service the 2 Australians represent?

  • @Onepersonsopinion The one was in the KTFO branch.

  • this scene always bugged me, the least allies could do is show some respect for eacho other

  • @TakeyoLifebitch Its usually REMF's that pull this kind of crap and not front liners. Its the guys who don't talk sh*t that have been through the sh*t and can look across the room and see another brother in arms regardless of what outfit they're with.

  • HAHAHA!thats not a bar fight thats a marine knockout!

  • YOU ARE ALL FAGGOTS JUST SO YOU KNOW WAR IS COMPLETELY RANDOM ANYTHING COULD HAVE HAPPEND

  • @TheCorkelly you have know idea who John Basilone is..the hero of Guadalcanal who simply killed an entire division of the japanese imperial army. Killed 3,000 japs with a 30. cal browning. and fought another couple hundred with a machete and a .45 cal pistol. Not to mention Basilone is a champion boxer. He made that Aussie fag look like a dickhead cause he's being disrespectful. The USMC are a corp. not to fuck with. John Daley killed 32 chinese by hand. Tarawa bloodiest battle of WW2 by USMC

  • when john clocked that guy i was like dammmn!!!

  • Without the America, your Aussies would have been in big trouble. Please you making tons of shit of trouble in these comments.

  • Stop pissing all over each countries contributions to WW2 guys.... show some respect for what our boys of all allied nations did, Christ.

  • @Anders2185 Well said

  • @dominatebeast20

    @MrCrackerJack420

and how do you think your pacific fleet would have got itself a foothold in the pacific if australia and its 39,000 war dead hadnt held new guinea and stopped the japanese advance alone for the first 2 years of the war?

new britain, kakoda, moresby, rubaul. american history isnt the only history.

  • @badweather92 You're mostly right. The Australians were definitely big in defending and then recapturing New Guinea. Australia did not stop the Japanese alone. Air power was the biggest key to victory. I don't care how big & bad someone is, if you didn't control the air, you're going to lose. That air power came from the US.

I'm not sure what your point is with Rabaul, the Australians lost it & it was never recaptured. American air reduced it to insignificance.

    I respect what Australia did.

  • I'm surprised that Spielberg, Hanks and whoever else is responsible for this atrocious scene would stoop to such a one dimensional portrait of Australians. I would expect this sort of shit from Michael Bay or Roland Emmerich, but not Spielberg. This is why 'The Pacific' is shit compared to 'Band of Brothers', 'Band' never would have included such a stupid, pointless scene.

  • I love how basilone punches him back twice as hard!

  • LMAO

  • If you puch a marine, you are going to die. Lucky for the Australian moe marines keept the two from killing him.

  • I would have been pissed about em too. If i came out of a war and some wannabe expert comes towards me and pissing me off... well i would do the same atleast. Probably even more

  • That punch would have been alot better if he would have used his right hand

  • Comment removed

  • Are they sailors?

  • whats the last thing she says and......

  • I looked at these comments...

and now I'm humiliated to be an American citizen.

  • Classic hit by basilone

  • So if I take anything away from all these comments, it will be the following:

Despite the limited number of ANZAC manpower and resources for them to be fighting in Africa and Europe was a total waste of time and effort to the allied war machine, America is always right, always win because bigger is better, America always wins. Britain and moreso her colonies are totally hopeless.

  • Anybody know if this really happened?

  • i love how basilone takes it and the Australian guy just drops.

  • SO funny all you Aussies can come back with is "Kokoda KOKODA! Yea but don't forget about KOKODA!" One word: Singapore.

  • Without the U.S the japanese would have taken over the whole pacific

    Australia would have been screwed

    God bless the USA

  • damn aussies had it coming to them.

  • hahaha HOOAH drinkin, kickin ass and takin names

  • The British were using Australian troops in North Africa in 1941, before Pearl Harbor. The Australians wanted to call their own troops home to defend the Southwest Pacific, but the British prevailed on the US to cover for them. The Australians didn't like the arrangement and felt that they were treated as a second class partner by both the UK and US. The Australians were stuck in horrible jungle fighting in New Guinea as well.

  • OI CUNTS WATCH FUNNY PEOPLE WHEN ERIC BANNER BASHES THAT BITCH ASS YANK PUSSY ADAM SADNLER HAHAHAHAH

  • This is fucking bullshit they make it out liek Australians are arrogant and shit GET also they didnt do shit to help us in the fuckign war.

they would always arrive just before we were finishing up

kokoda they dropped there guns and ran cause the japs were to intimidating while we stayed and fought our asses off

and Romel in eqypt also said he would take 1 australia soldier over 10 of his own german soldiers SO SUCK A DICK TOM HANKS AND SPEILBERG

  • @gseNCO If you wanna piss and whine we didn't do anything I'll just throw out a few names: Peleliu, Okinawa, Iwo Jima, Saipan, Tarawa, New Britian, Guadalcanal. Australia lost over 39,000 soldiers. The United States lost 495,000 ; 230,000 in the Pacific alone. As J.P. Morgan just said, "If it wasn't for us you'd be guzzling sake with a pair of chopsticks up your ass you stupid fuck."

  • @MrCrackerJack420 get fucked cunt obviously american were spread out more because your country is bigger then ours and we had fuck all soldiers not to mention Australia was only 151 years old , also we we'er under the british commonwealth so we went alot more fuckin places then you pussy cunts and we still didnt get credit for it

  • @shiza14 "went alot more places" complete bullshit

  • @MrCrackerJack420 yeah and still you are a roach under our boot ........ you IE dumb fucks lost more than us ...... go figure ........ yet ya still try to bully the world ...... we didn't invade the us ... your type invaded us

  • @MrCrackerJack420

Isn't it funny how in BOTH World Wars, the British have to be saved?

  • @kabuto310 Saved... really? So in Dec 41 when the US entered the war the Germans were within a stones though of defeating the British were they? Cobblers course they didn't. Why do so many yanks act as if they entered WW2 right in the nick of time to save the helpless British and swept away all that lay before her because that didn't happen, the US suffered major defeats at the start same as we did, the Philippines, Kasserine Pass and the 2nd "happy time" by the U-Boats on the east coast US.

  • @Anders2185

Yes SAVED. Both in WWI and WWII Great Britain declared war on Germany, but did stupid tactics like MARCH to the enemy trenches while getting a hail of bullets going down on them. Attacks in the Phillipines weren't even MAJOR for America. Besides, when Yamashita attacked with 70,000 troops against Percival's 140,000 troops, in the Battle of Malaysia, Percival lost over 60,000 troops. However, Yamashita lost less than 5,200 troops. NOW THAT IS SAD!!! Well old chap, PISS OFF!!!

  • @kabuto310 When in WW2 did British troops march slowly into the German lines in full view into mg fire? Saved us my ass, prove it if you think so, the situation was grave but no way were we anywhere near being defeated. At Kasserine Pass the first time the US fought the Germans in Europe they took one hell of a battering by Rommel 10000 vs 2000. In the Philippines the US lost 140,000 men vs the Japanese 22,000, funny how you gloss over US defeats but feel British defeats are somehow worse.

  • @Anders2185 "the situation was grave but no way were we anywhere near being defeated." Kabuto might be referring to North Africa. Rommel did push the British back to El Alamein, near Alexandria. If he had succeeded the British position would have been very bad. It was American equipment that helped win that campaign. This British relied heavily on Grant and then Sherman tanks to turn the tide. The British Matilda tank was no match for the Germans. Tanks weren't the only items either.

  • @kabuto310 Oh btw old chap, I'm half American myself, my grandfather was taken prisoner and survived the Bataan death march, I'm just not as uneducated and as ridiculously over patriotic about our military past as you clearly are, its people like you that make us look bad.

  • @Anders2185

My Grandfather joined the Army. He showed me that we should honor our Veterans for protecting this country. I learn this history to honor our veterans. I make it look bad? I don't think so. Also, I'm part Japanese, American, and Scottish. I'm proud to be part of those three. I honor your Grandfather and respect him. Glad that he survived Bataan. Also, YOU must be uneducated if you're too stupid to make assumptions that aren't true.

  • @MrCrackerJack420 Believe it or not, the numbers show that the ones who fought the most of the Japanese were actually the Russians and the Chinese. There were over 5 million Japanese stuck in the war with China since 1937, and there were 3 million more who engaged the Soviet Union during the 11 day assault on Manchuria.

I do believe that there are some good, non-big headed Americans out there who respect others. This isn't helping.

Show some backbone and respect other nation's efforts bud. >:(

  • @MrCrackerJack420 You should do a history paper; you'd get something in the A grade range

  • @MrCrackerJack420 Im not 'Pissing' or 'whining' about the fact that you guys 'did nothing',I have the upmost respect for americas engagement in the south pacific and you guys really helped protect our country.my point im trying to get across is that you guys make it all about yourselves and no one else. And another thing is im very educated in my war history, and i know where the america has been.

  • @gseNCO Yeah, I get what your saying. That one Australian guy spoke for the Australian side in the miniseries it seems, but wrongly. What Rommel said was true, the Aussies are known rifleman and disciplined but then again you should know that "The deadliest weapon in the world is a Marine and his rifle." Semper Fi.

  • Another round for the cowboy yanks!

  • ok if you call your channel HBO The Pacific then upload the whole thing not just 6 short clips

  • @jarheadm4a1 well unless your an australian or english it might be easier for you to tell the difference in all fairness. but what is really amazing is that people comment so retarded before they even know what is happening.

thank god no one dumb ass represents a nation because i would have a lot of defending to do with these idiotic comments. if anything australians seemed really nice to americans back then out of all those people they only incounter one asshole thats a pretty good ratio

  • @ patton9 australian XD jesus thanks for making americans look stupid on an awesome clip. just do us a favor and don't speak

    retards stop voting him up

  • Fucking Basilone woud own his little bitch ass, basilone trained in boxing before the war and not to meantion killing was what he was best at

  • hot waitress

  • Basilowned!

  • i saw this on another video, but what the hell.

    BASILONED!

  • Yes he was an Australian, but i thought he was a Brit then i remembered oh wait they actually like us and have class

    lol

  • LOL @patton9 he was an Aussie

  • hey if it werent for the Americans, Australia wouldve been invaded by Japan and most likely the Japanese wouldve slaughtered the Aussies, so thank the Americans.

  • That Aussie punches like my little sister. You wanna get your ass kicked, let a U.S. Marine do it and then you'll feel some real pain. SEMPER FI, THE CORPS WILL LIVE FOREVER!!

  • oh im just gonna say this now, that was an Aussie not a Brit. Fuck me! Idiots can't even tell the difference.

  • fucking cock blockers were just jealous becuz aussie women love americans! >=)

  • fucked that aussie bitches ass up! hoorah!

  • Woah, I saw this video cause it was a pretty cool scene in the pacific, but geez guys the comments are fucking annoying.

He's not British, he's Australian, totally different accent.

Not all Aussies punch like that.

USA saved our country? They helped alot but 1 word: Kokoda.

Its TV anyway so calm the fuck down lol.

  • American vs British = America Fuck YEAH!

  • @phycofreak893 wow, just wow.

  • patton 9 - are you retarded? - theyre australian.

btw im an english marine, we invented it, so fuck you

  • @bedds1 actually the spanish had marines before you.

  • patton 9 - fuck you im a marine... come say it to my face, we invented the marines and sas training

  • Wow. He punches like a little bitch. The Marine fucked him up good.

  • Scene likes these ruin the American image in the world.

As German I'm disgusted by this Hollywood-portrayal of "good" American soldier vs and arrogant Australian ones. Why do you always need to piss even on your allies?

  • @bluerisk it's a film targeted to the american public, in a lot of European media it's usually the arrogant american and the friendly foreigner, sterotypes exist in a lot of media. P.S. i am a Canadian.

  • @bluerisk It had nothing to do with nationalities you idiot.

That asshole was insulting their fallen comrade, I don't give a fuck about where you are from or how you talk but if you talk about one of my boys like that I'd punch them in the mouth as well.

People always become aquainted with the Marines the hard way.

  • Comment removed

  • @bluerisk relax, if you watched the series you would have seen the other Australian offer to buy them a drink because of this

  • @bluerisk It's because that's how people are. There aren't good guys and bad guys fighting each other, they're good guys and bad guys on both sides.

  • @bluerisk they didn't make this up this happened. They're not saying all aussies are like that it's just what happened.

  • Australian got his ass handed to him by Basilone. Do all Australians throw punches like girls? =P

  • once agian america saves the world, single handily!!

there were no anzac/british forces involved in the pacific war, i saw it on tv!!!

  • @conradmilligan What? Really, I'm american and even I know thats a lie. We DID have help.

  • @Hamptoncltn LOL, bless you, i was being sarcastic.

  • @conradmilligan

Oh there were anzac and british forces involved, involved in getting their respective asses kicked all over the pacific until the Americans saved their bacon. Im a Canadian and we got our asses kicked in Hong Kong under British command and I recognize that without the USA we would have been ass-raped in the pacific without their efforts,Thank-you USA.

  • @Donryall You treasonous little bastard, you do a great dishonour to all Canadian veterans. We were up to our necks in it in BOTH world wars before the Americans decided to get involved and we kicked some serious fucking ass. The Aussies did their share of arse kicking too.

  • @hschan4

I wont fuel your marxist-inspired,rabid anti Americanism by asking you to review a history book or anything. HISTORY is quite clear, the japanese empire were kicking the ever loving shit out of us in the pacific and without American intervention we would have lost Australia, read something besides chomsky for a change.

  • @Donryall What does Chomsky or Marxism have to do with any of this? Is that just your natural reaction when someone confronts you? Throw out the old "he's a commie!" ad hominem attacks? Sure the U.S. is a world power and would tip the scales of the war, but for you to diminish the contributions made by the Canadians and Australians is extremely disrespectful. We might have been much smaller than the U.S. but contributed a lot in man power and resources given our size.

  • @hschan4: What does Chomsky or Marxism have to with this? Glad you asked. YOU WILL NOT acknowledge history as it happened, instead you choose socialist revisionism where Canada played some glorious fantasy role in the Pacific theater. As my Grandfather said (who spent 4 years in a japanese POW camp after Hong Kong fell and was freed by the USA) "We were sent in untrained and thrown away to make a political statement, thank god for the yank's".

  • @Donryall I fail to see why you keep using the term "socialist", again what does socialism have to do with any of this? Granted, Canadians may have only been involved in Hong Kong as far as the Pacific theater goes, but that doesn't mean they didn't fight with honour and distinction. And as posters on this video have already pointed out, the Australians were not absent in the pacific theater and certainly weren't just relegated to North Africa as this scene erroneously states.

  • @hschan4 Seriosuly America? Please, PLEASE come out with someone who is actually humble about their countries' and her allies efforts? Jesus, its like the internet is a meeting ground for this backdoor dinlows. If there is an American out there with something constructive and balanced to say about WW2, I IMPLORE YOU to reply to this post so I can see it with my own eyes. I WOULD LOVE TO VISIT AMERICA, but if it really is completely inhabited by these self-righteous dickweeds, I'll steer clear.

  • @HoZzIe27 Yeah... you might want to steer clear. Trust me

  • @HoZzIe27 i could say the same thing about any of OUR allies, but, i respect every one of them either way. RIP to her majesty's great soldiers England, Scotland, Ireland, Australia, and Canada. RIP the to the french and polish who took it the hardest during the beginning. RIP the huge Red Army for fighting and dying even under the leadership they had(Definately wouldnt of beaten germany as quickly without em :)). Lastly, RIP to all american soldiers who landed in Europe, and American marines in

  • @HoZzIe27 the bloody Pacific. All made a great contribution, dont think all americans talk shit on their allies. If we didnt appreciate help we wouldnt have so many wanted friends :) these kinda scenes arent necesarry, but american cinema likes to make us look sooo righteous, but not alll of us see us as all powerful. You asked, im provin that there are respectiful people here, cause my family faught in every war and gave their life for everyone INCLUDING their allies :)

  • @TakeyoLifebitch Hey, well thanks for making the time to write here then :D. It's nice to see that this prejudice (that I've kind of got) isn't fully founded. You actually seem like an honest bloke :) Cheers!

  • @TakeyoLifebitch yea but it doesnt mean every army group did this. this shit happend once in a while so a guy hits another guy so what its over in 50 seconds its not like its a fight for 12 min. But still these scenes in real life did happen probably in bars like jackass's and young men like these. remember these men where 17-21 yr olds. Just kids

  • @crazyben108 o of course i know.

  • Ok everyone! To all those guys saying that us Australian were bitches for doing that, you should understand why it all happened: The Australian soldiers weren't allowed in bars and pubs, but the americans were. So yes it did piss off Australians...

  • Idiots are in every country. Think that through before angirly posting hatefull messages towards different countries, and assumeing that all of them feel the same way as the one who insulted you.

  • Ok he's not brittish he's austraillian

  • pwnd

  • british guy punch like a bitch. that marine fuck him.

  • @patton9 Youve done well considering his Austrailian. Dick.

  • @durnham jesus christ!! i know that, i even wrote it down that I GOT THE MESSAGE!!!

  • @patton9 hes not british u idiot, hes australian

  • @patton9 He is Australian.

  • @patton9 Why would a marine who is going to fight in the pacific be stationed in Britain you could'nt get much further away.

  • @deal456 lol they are in Melbourne, Australia those are Aussies not brits

  • @Josethepufytaco I know their in Australia I was replying to patton9's comment who thought they were brits. I just meant they'd have to go along way to get to where they were going to fight if they were in Britain it would'nt make sense.

  • @patton9 retard. hes not british, lol cant you tell the difference between australians and brits!

  • @patton9 He's an Australian you tit

  • @patton9 Your a glowing testament to the American education system.

  • @hschan4 a year ago i actually said oh my mistake, he is austraillian, stop busting my balls

  • yeah they were brits guys

  • They are brits becuase he says : Shouldn't you be in afrika and fight rommel , Rommel fighted against USA and UK in africa the australiens dident bather the european war , only the pacific war and the brits did fight the japs to some of the britsts where stasioned in australia to wait orders ffs

  • @Sonny0612 their british australians were in africa too

  • @12igon6 no your dumbfuck maye sended expedentionall forces but not joinging the war as the americans and the britts give me one name of a battle the Austraians did in the europe

  • @Sonny0612 You are a fucking moron. Go back to school, learn to spell and speak English correctly, then if that's not too difficult for you, read a book on history, specifically one concerning the Pacific Theatre of WWII, then you can talk shit out of your arse. Greece, Crete, Lebannon, North Africa, Sicily, Italy, Tunisia and famously in the Siege of Tobruk and the battles of El Alamein, that enough examples of diggers in the European theatre? We joined the war in 1939, When did the yanks join?

  • @INSUBRE13 I actually cant say somthing cuz sweden are so pussly lickers we dident even join the war , and after the war we licked usas ass . but thanks to the u.s you britts didn't loose any provinces

  • Comment removed
