  • Man their next gig musta been a huge disapointment!!

  • They made up with this gig for the funeral thing which I thought was kinda wrong

  • @djuuwi the funeral prank wasn't real.

  • @slipsandtumbles Really? So the people who where at the funeral were actors and the priest was an actor?

  • @djuuwi Actually yeah. If you look at the clip, it tells you it's fake and has an uncensored version you can watch. Sorta like behind the scenes.

  • You guys are soo nice <3

  • I feel bad for them at their next gig. Haha

  • I also was surprised by how good this band was. They sounded like a crappy Manchester Orchestra - so still pretty decent.

  • Subscribe to our channel-- we regularly post new videos and have 110 awesome ones from the past! A brand new video comes out in 3 weeks!

  • hey they're pretty good hhaha! i like them

  • Awesome. The band was actually pretty good, I was expecting something horrendous, but I actually enjoyed what I heard.

  • If only I lived in America I'd try to join ImrpovEverywhere

    this is great hahaha

  • @TheBase333 You are probably the last person on earth who doesn't hate us for one reason or the other.

  • @TheBase333 why not try to start one where you live ??

  • Comment removed

  • I wana' do this with my friend's band.

  • That's soooo nice!

  • The funny thing is that they're actually pretty good.

  • whats the band name. it sounded good

  • @almostsk8erboi " Ghosts of Pasha " they have a site ghostsofpasha(DOT)com

  • The music wasn't horrendous. Nice!

  • yes. if the audience member knew the lyrics as well, that would have been crazy.

  • wish this would happen to my band :(

  • this experiment is such a hipster thing to do.

  • What band is this?

  • The band has a great sound.

I am glad that Improve Everywhere and This American Life got them the great exposure that they deserve.

  • Are they still together? I'd love to see them live

  • They're actually pretty damn good.

  • did that girl say i got laid at the end

  • This is a great idea but it would have been better if they had sung along more, to surprise them even more "WTF? They know our songs!".

  • pretty good music actually, why would they only have 3 people. they've got more energy that most local bands here =O

  • @ThrowingItAway They aren't pretty. It's sad but true :/.

  • Wooooohhh!!! \m/

  • i think im the only one here who actualy likes this song....

  • ha I'm FROM Vermont and have no clue who they are

  • This song is called "What about the Shut ins?

  • This was so sweet.

  • sasasayyyy what!!!! hahahaha

  • i like that 'fat' guy in the first row there ;) he's awesome

  • @sydbob16 'zat you?

  • @hautedaug i'm a girl...

  • I like this track. I'm sorry they pouted about this being a "prank," but that's not really how the internet works.

  • I think its all very sweet.

  • did the girl at the end say she got laid during the show and she didn't even mean to???

  • @janafortune xD good one.. she said "late" btw..

  • @bardock2525

    She said laid.

  • @bardock2525 so she got late during the show? O_____O

  • @Sc0ttPrian nah she said LAID. . . TMI.

  • @janafortune Yes. Yes she did.

  • This would be a great TV show if the producers would let the creators full reign on the material. Improveverywhere is such an ingenius idea!

  • Not a bad band, you know

  • music's actually pretty good :)

  • Anyone that thinks this is mean needs to realize that this band has gotten prime advertising from improveverywhere. I mean.. you're here.

  • @mymumissostupid I'm not here because it's a good song, and no one else is. Being the butt end of a joke isn't necessarily the kind of exposure bands generally want. How many of the 300,000 plus people that watched this do you think are running out to buy their album?

  • @TheDailyConsumer Yeah sure I hear what you're saying. What I mean is this small band has now been seen by loads of people that probably would have never seen these guys if this hadn't happened.

    :P

  • Comment removed

  • why are people saying this is nice of them? they were making fun of the band.

  • @TheDailyConsumer Not really. Their music was nice, and man... they weren't very known, now more than 300000 people have heard their song. That tops a lot of "known" bands nowadays, doesn't it?

  • they should have baught every for of shwage the band had for sale every shirt,Cd and ...

  • then they booked another gig with the video promising a crowd to the bar and none showed up at all

  • @sirlonghair lol thumbs up for cynicism!

  • @sirlonghair lol!!

  • this is nice, but... i feel sorry for the band for some reason

  • This isn't even funny! This is just adorable because of how kind it is! Way to go ImprovEverywhere! We need more groups like you!

  • They sounded pretty good.

  • LMFAO @ the asshole trying to start a mosh pit @ 1:05 ! =DDD he's my hero!

  • the band is actually pretty good

but I feel bad for them :\

  • LOL that is awesome, that band must have felt some good looool

  • cool

  • Sad to say I did some research on it and I guess they found out and they were "confused" according to TAL (This American Life) but "years later, all is forgiven". I hope they're doing better and are a hit! I still think this was awesome.

  • This brought tears to my eyes actually. What a generous thing you guys did. I completely agree with mercurio. How different this world would be if we did things like this out of charity or just rooting the little guy on. How much of a difference it'd make for that little guy to know others, who didn't even know him, believed in him. What kind of a change that would bring to his own self esteem or how he views himself or what he does. ImprovEverywhere, I'd totally join if I was in NY.

  • at 1:33 the vocal looks like a freaking predator

  • "I got LAID. During the show. I didn't even mean to." Ahahaha! This is amazing!

  • Its great bcuz they arent that bad

  • "I got laid."

    "During the show?"

"Like yeah, I didn't even mean to.."

    Priceless. xD

  • wow, most be tough in america, only 3 fans? well its pretty big place, anyways this is awesome, good job

  • NICE GOING THAT WAS NICE OF U GUYS

  • I'm in a band and this is one of the best feeling you can have as a musician, to have music loved and appreciated. Bravo, ImprovEverywhere, Bravo.

  • 1:29 is that mikey from OCC

  • Lol. I have a turtle named Pasha, it means tiny in Russian cause he's Russian.

Ghosts of Tiny. Nice name. Oh, and I thought they sucked butt.

  • That song's good!

  • aww that is so sweet.. I wish I could join the improv team! You guys are so awesome.

  • "I got laid during the show." xD

  • that song is pretty fucking good i reckon

  • They brought 3, IE brought 40, YouTube brought 270 thousand

  • @NickoClaus PRICELESS

  • These guys are awesome... epic nerdfighters if i ever saw 'em.

  • And that's pretty good music too!

  • more like this ^^

  • This was so cool. I'd love it if (even if they're fake) 40 screaming people came to my band's gigs. Look up the Best Game Ever by IE, its also amazing. They pick a random little league game and turn it into a major sports event.

  • Awww that is sooooo nice.

  • Did that girl at the end say she got laid during the show? o.O

  • Im unsure if that was nice or mean. LOL

  • The fact that they left immediately after, without saying a word to the band makes it seem coldhearted. I thought the point of ImprovEverywhere was to make people happy?

  • The fat guy at :43 rules

  • these guys sound pretty good

  • Any publicity is good publicity. The band is actually pretty good. I would never of heard of them without this stunt (I live on the opposite side of the world). But why didn't IE hang around and talk to the band members after the show?

  • I think that the folks from IE did this with the best of intentions. It was not a prank per se. But there's a problem.

According to the story of this on TAL, when the Band finished the last song and started unplugging their equipment, the 35 IE people had immediately left! No one said hello to the band, no "Great job" comments, no hanging out afterwards, etc. They all just left.

Is this true? Because that implies that IE was more interested in the "skit" and not as much in the band.

  • @logenisti Not really... when I go to see concerts (Story of the year, Supe, My chemical romance, whatever) I listen to the music and have a great time, then leave right afterwards.

  • Yeah, but when a crowd like that is so loud and receptive and not one person comes up to the band afterwards to say "Hello, great job"?! Somethings not right here.

  • i listen to them describe this on npr a while back it was really neatt

  • if anything this gets the band more known, so it's not cruel, and it contribues to their profits soo... win win :D

  • you guys do great work, this is not cruel, this makes people really happy, and step away from everyday mundane life, i love that there are people like you guys out there

  • Comment removed

  • this is cruel, HAHA!!

  • I heard about this on NPR as well. Improv Everywhere is awesome. just saying.

  • I can understand they might be a little upset at first but I CAN'T see it as a bad thing because by it being on Improv Everywhere they pretty much got free advertising from the video. People who might never have heard of them might wind up liking them and they gain exposure - I can't see that as a bad thing.

  • They actually did find out. Chicago Public Radio did a great piece on the implications of it.

  • Looks like they are enjoying themselves, regardless of the reason they went along, and the band sound pretty good.. so yeah. I think this is great.

  • they sound pretty good

  • wow this one is kinda mean.

I'd be a great confidence boost but when they find out about it :_(,,,

  • I don't think they ever found it, did they? ...unless they found this video.. O.o

  • They did... There was a whole episode of "This American Life" dedicated to morally questionable improv everywhere stunts. They were pretty upset at first.

  • what was the one girl saying in the end? she got what without meaning to? help!

  • she got layed

  • good to know...:)

  • They actually sound good!

  • Wow, that was so cruel. Hilarious.

  • kudos to ghost of pasha!!! i, too, just heard the show on this american life. i'm very mixed about the improvs esp. the ones that target individuals. it is somewhat arrogant/obnoxious to assume that one knows what's best for another person.

  • Heard this story on This American Life. It does seem mean, after considering all sides, to fool them like this. If they never found out, that would have been OK. Hope the band gets some PR out of this. Now I know about them, anyway.

  • I acctually liked the very biggining of the song, the guitar in it was sweet.

  • I'm sure that ImprovEverywhere was just trying to do what they do, but to have everyone quickly leave after the show would seem like their telling the band that in actuality, they are a joke. The fun of building someone up just to laugh at them. And to say it's the best thing to happen to them is probably true. I never heard of them before.

  • Heard about it on NPR, actually sound very good. They deserve to have a following anyway.

  • I heard the NPR program, then tuned in here after I returned home. This could have been a Million Dollar PR boost for this new band! I saw nothing more malicious than providing a fresh set of clothes and a hot meal to a homeless person. What misery it would have been to play yet one more gig to a dead, empty, cold room after driving day and night...'been there, done that!

Ghosts of Pasha have been handed a torch, now its up to them to carry it!

Chance in a Million, guys...Go for it!!

  • I heard the story on N P R yesterday, but I would like to hear more music from them..…

  • What song is this?? Good stuff!!

  • this is what I love bout Youtube! I heard about this on the way home on NPR today and HERE IT IS!

  • Listen to the "This American Life" episode (NPR) from today Dec 05, 2009 (actually I think it's a repeat). You get to hear from the guys from the band, and Mr. ImprovEverywhere and everyone's reactions. Hey Mr. ImprovEverywhere I have some great ideas if you want a new agent in a nearby state. =)

  • I like this band.

  • Well, they weren't terrible

  • That was a dream come true :) And the band was really good :D

  • I don't know whether this is a nice thing they did for the band, or if its mean. I would rather not have fans than to have people act like my fans. I wouldn't want it to be fake.

  • @IsupremeI I totally agree and completely understand what you are saying. I am in two minds as well. I just hope they are aware it was improv that gave them publicity rather than word of mouth about their talent.

  • ITS TheAmazingAtheist!!! :O

  • OMG!! I didn't know the amazing atheist had a band!

  • There's a This American Life episode where both the band and the improv people talk about this event, and the aftermath of it on NPR, it's worth checking out.

  • that was mean.

  • its his band

  • That was Nice of Improv Agents. Those guys must of felt really special.

  • Actually, the band didn't feel better at all. You really should listen to or watch the episode of "This American Life" covering the event.

Use Google to find it. The stunt is a very good lesson in remembering that what's in your head is not necessarily what's in someone else's. Make assumptions at your own risk -- and all too often, at the risk of others.

  • it would be funnier to get a really great good looking band to fake gig, like set up a place and convince them they got a reay great gig with ots of ppl, set up 80 "fans" and in the midde of the first song, everybody just walks out

  • done that.... in my town... artist was not amused.. crowed loved his outburst of anger...

  • youre missing the point of improv everywhere

  • they actually didnt sound that bad. i would feel so awesome if i was in that band and i got a crowd like that. AWESOME JOB!

  • rofl hes really givin it all xD 1:19

  • Man this was very touching. You could even see the band having a great time and giving their best. I bet they felt really good that night. You guys are awesome! We must start supporting out groups in our individual cities like this. There is so much love here. I love it. I wounder how different our society would be if we wore to do things out of love and not out of profit or gain. It would be like living in a different world.

    Great job!

  • Great comment.

  • Thank you mouse264. Thanks to you I notice that a lot of people had agree with my previous comment. As of now there is 11 thumbs up. OMG that feels good. Thank to all of you that gave me the thumbs up.

Let's bring hate down to its knees. Let's spread across the world our love like never before. It is easier for love to spread then hate. Hate is never welcome. Be the first one on your city. Go an hug somebody. I already got started in my city. Chain Reaction.

    LOVE SOMEBODY... ANYBODY!

  • Yes, hate should be a much lesser thing. You're awesome.

  • @mercurio0000 And the next time they perform, no one would go. And then they may find out that the people that went there went simply to make it a funny situation for others to view. Sure, it felt good for the few minutes or so that it was happening, but the amount of time they spend knowing it was just a set up and feel bad over it is much longer.

  • @puppyandbaby1 Sorry to disagree with you. I have more faith on these people that you do on yourself. Didn't you even noticed that they even started playing better? You don't even understand how magical that was. May be you don't understand what love is either. In Canada, The US and Mexico; I find people full of love. I am sure is happening in other countries too. People always mean well. People are doing good to others even if they don't know them. There is a love explosion N I am part of it.

  • @mercurio0000 Kind of quick to assume I have no faith in myself or that I don't understand what love is ._. I'm just sayin', sure this may have done good for the moment, but you can't forget that there's also the future, and honestly, would you feel happy if the night where you felt so great performing turned out to be just an organized plan of people going there to applaud them, regardless of wether they liked them or not? I'd feel a bit faked out, I don't see the good to that.

  • @puppyandbaby1 If I offended you in any way by saying you have no faith on self and that you don't understand love. I apologize to you publicly here. That was not my intention. My intentions was to make you see how negative your comment sounded and how it may reflect the way you pensive reality. The image that you were projecting with your comment made you seem that way. I find your comment to be true to an extent and yet short sighted. Enthusiasm is contagious whether it is faked or not.

  • @puppyandbaby1 I understand your side of this. If I found out that someone just brought a bunch of people to support me and my band just because they found that we kinda we're a slow starting band, I'd feel like they were being fake and not genuine....but I can't help but feel like this was an act of service that IE didn't have to do. It was awesome! It was completely selfless and it pumped the band up! They must have felt like on top of the world and I bet they found out and loved IE for it

  • @puppyandbaby1 IE didn't go there to make it a funny situation at all! Did you see them mocking them? Did you see them exploiting them in anyway for IE's own gain? They were seriously into the music and just enjoying a good concert and at the same time, they were making that band feel like they were kick ass. That's more than a lot of people can say that they've done for people nowadays.

  • i got laid ( during the show?) during the show lol funny

  • mikey off orange county choppers hehe :)

  • LOL you guys are wonderful!! i sure wish i cud join in on all ur missions!

  • I wanna go to a gig like that. xD

  • lol then tomorrow they do another gig and no ones there hahahaha

  • oh nvm ghosts of pasha

  • whats the name of the band??

  • Such a great idea!!

  • would have been sweet if the crowd sung along

  • So cool of you ImprovEverywhere!

  • That band was actually not bad! :)

  • that´s a nice thing to do! :)

  • they should have gone crowd surfing

  • I.LOVE.IMPROV.EVERYWHERE.

  • be so cool if everyone knew the words to the songs..lool

  • did she say i got laid, during the show, and i didnt even mean to?

  • i understood that too lol

  • rofl
