  • that HDMI looks dodgy

  • that aint the ps3 fault because my plasma tv does this and not in my bedroom

  • You should call Larry the cable guy...

  • @abscarde LMFAO

  • LMAO...Why's your tv in your dining room???

  • cuz u got both av and hdmi in at the same time

  • remove av cable and let only hdmi cable

    :-)

  • remove the scart AV cable and leave hdmi only!

    :-)

  • Try leavin the power button pressed. It's supposed to reset the video output. & it should be automatically adjusted 2 Ur TV. Also, check the version of the HDMI cable. & Ur HDMI connector in the TV. the PS3 HDMI version.... is 1.3 if I remember well, but check that too. If none of this works, try another HDTV & other cable. If not, contact sony 4 warranty. Cause that's not normal at all. L8er!

Oh, HDTV 720p no more. FullHD, 1080p.

  • i have never had a hdmi problem but some hdmi cables are not suported on the ps3 you should try a different hdmi cable or try the scart that should work

  • dude use either hdmi or component cable and i saw u connected both the component maybe thats the problem hope it works

  • ive never heard of hd problem mode lol

  • The problem is ur TV, get a Bravia Sony HDTV. Sony said that Sony TV's will have a connecting with the new ps3 slim that u can use ur remote control from ur TV to crontrol ur own ps3 slim I mean that's awesome.

  • turn u ps3 on standby hold down power button 15 turn off do it again that wil fix it then go through set up menu and accept hd settings

  • reset u ps3 hold power button 15 sec do that twice reset

  • the playstation 3 logo dont pop up on my ps3 slim(hdmi) when i start a game, does this happen to anyone else or is it just the tv??

  • the ps3 logo when you start a game was removed on firmware 3.00

  • @yutubeuser03279669

    ohhh thanks for telling me.

  • @ombk no problem i miss that logo though

  • @yutubeuser03279669

yeah they should of kept it

  • did you try going to like the system settings and switching to hd 420,720,1080,1080p, or 1080pi, whatever your tv is you have to switch it with av cables and then u put in your hdmi cable

  • that doesn't even look like a HDMI plug looks like the AV plug ya get with the ps3 there's ya problem all i knows is on 0.56 of the video that i never seen it on a HDMI plug with that thing that ya find on them the AV cable on aney playstation system or a ps2 controller

  • i use a vizio for mine and the graphics r incredible

  • it took me about 2 hours 2 figure out when i finally went hd u just gotta fuck with it

  • buy a new hdmi cable

  • r u using logytech hdmi????

if not get logytech its best brand and it suports all tvs.

and stop saying u see it so much lol

    jks

  • get a Vizio

  • Halomejor si compraras un cable de mejor calidad como uno dela marca monster de 100 dolares te serviria mejor o la configurasion dela tv o tambien cuenta la marca de la tv por ejemplo yo tengo una sony 46 XBR 9

  • play it on your computer idiot and your uncles tv sucks too

  • you pluged it in the wrong thing idiot

  • your tv sucks and somebody is problay doing that but he is not showing them

  • Conclusion:PS3 80GB is better...

  • i got a ps3 slim with hdmi cable and the graphics is stunning but i have a question to all does hd-ready tvs support 1080p ?? because when i take automatic display settings i get 1080p:)

  • @Effed95: Most HDTV's today will take a 1080P signal and display it even though it isn't a 1080P TV. My LG does the same thing even though it's native resolutuion is 1366x768(720P). For some reason though the PS3 should realize this and adjust itself properly but it just goes to 1080P. My 360 will go to 1360x768 when I hit Optimal Resolution but my PS3 Slim will not do the same thing. Do yourself a favor and just set your PS3 to 720P. Ur TV has to work a little harder if you don't.

  • @Effed95 Not all of them, one of my tv's only does 720p which if you ask me is enough to pop a high definition bonner :P

  • okay but my tv is new i bought it in november 2009

  • go to settings usd the normal cable to see, then put display settings and press X in the HDMI picture and it will say some thing then choose yes ,but you must have the HDMI cabl pluged in while you are doing it choose yes and and cnanbe the channel to the HDMI channel and it will say another question and choose yes and it will be using HDMI

  • this happen bcz you are using unbranded hdmi cabel, buy logitec hdmi ps3 cabel and then problem will resolve.

  • you cleary dont know what your talking about

  • @waqarsiddiqui a cable is a cable... anyone who tells you to get a high end cable ios just trying to suckeryou into paying more money for something you can get for $15

  • prob coz your tv sucks

  • At least your getting half a picture. i'm getting none at the min.

  • maybe its ur tv no supporting the new ps3 mabey its to old or ur cable

  • lol u look like the asian george lopez lololol

  • no his tv has to be a sony tv

  • no it doesnt.. any tv with Hd and with the right connections made with wires it should work

  • THATS FUCKING STUPID

  • you shoulda got a Vizio tv.

  • @Sublime570 vizio is shit :D

  • @bayzarea925 Oh you mean the number one selling tv in United States? LOLYA OK

  • @Sublime570 its #1 selling because it's cheap, but that doesn't meen that the video quality has to be good. Keep in mind that we are in hard times and so people are going to go to cheaper options.

  • @bayzarea925 When i was looking for a tv in Bestbuy i looked at all of them right side by side. Vizio definitely has the best Contrast, Shapness, and Color. The salesman was telling me more stuff like pixels etc etc and it was definitely the best choice. Just because something is cheap doesn't mean it's lower quality. Big tv makers like Samsung, Sharp, and Sony have higher fail rates than Vizio as well.

  • @Sublime570 I guess that is your opinion, but i saw my friends 55" vizio and it looked like crap, and when i went to costco they had Sony Bravia LED and Vizio LED side by side and i have to say the sony looked a lot better. But i have to agree with you, just because something is cheap doesn't meen it has lower quality. I disagree with you on the point that they have a higher failure rate. I had a sony tv since i was born (im 14 btw good argument eh?) and it just stopped working. ran out characte

  • @Sublime570 your turn ;D sorry i really want you to go on helps me in speach and debate...and i wanna prove that i'm right xD

  • why is ur setup in ur dining room

  • stupid beaner

  • LOL fucking racist, you feel a little jealous? you dont have money to buy a plasma TV and a ps3? LOL

  • is your setup in your kitchen man? lool

  • ok, the problem is that your tv doesn't accept the HD handshake. you know when a HDTV starts with ps3 on a game, or starts the ps3 the screen will flicker for a second...that is the handshake. you don't see this because it won't accept the handshake in the first place. it's not a ps3 problem, it is a problem with your tv. keep your slim..just use another tv.

  • I think I heard "see", "I don't know", "working" a thousand times each on this video alone.

  • u r still able to play games right??????????

  • your problem is that your tv is only supports 720p will not upscale to 1080p. adjust your settings to 720p and you be fine alright late.

  • buy a better HD cord if you dont have the best one like silver HD cord thats what i would do cuz I have a silver cord

  • wat doesthe playstation eye do

  • my friend has had the same problem and we resolved this by buying a silver hdmi cable instead of a gold ended 1. try that

  • stop buying HDMI cheap cable pare, and TV from cheap stores.Uve been ripped off, its not the console dude.Ayos?

  • are you a Filipino

  • and plus i use my 360 hdmi for my ps3 oloololol and it works fine Microsoft and sony is so good together

  • rofl i do th same thing and the hdmi is free

  • Well im not sure if this will help. But if i was put into the situation then i would try to blow out my HDMI cable & the HDMI input port. Maybe it is just a slight dust problem.

  • maybe its something with hdcp

  • No. There actually is a problem. I have a series 8 Samsung LED tv. I have that connected to a samsung blu-ray home theater. and its says the same thing for me. It just started. Something is wrong.

  • i have a Samsung series 5 and it even scanned for my highest resolution and it said 1080p. Its not your ps3 its the tv, the tv's resolution is probably 1080i but you thought it was 1080p.

  • it sounds like your filming this outside.

  • buy the 360...saves money n tye...

  • ur hdmi cabe could be jaced up or ur tv

  • u ghotta see it from if ur tv support 1080p if dosent then u ghotta link it up to a tv that supports 1080p then go to settings and click on display settings then put it to 720p then it will work

  • i wanna buy a ps3 slim with a HDMI cable. can i use it directly??? dont now what resoultion i can use for my Tv but my tv is HD-Ready not Full HD. Should the ps3 change my ps3 to HDMi option or shuldi do it manual???

  • just let your ps3 do it. cause if you do it maually you have to know your tv's resoultion.

  • just slam your ps3

  • change the "monster" hdmi cable for a regular one...it should work after that

  • NO thats not true bro, i now people with a ps3 slim hooked up to samsung and a lg hdtv and its running at 1080p, maybe your tv doesnt support it? and not all ps3 games will let the game do 1080p read the the back of the box (supported hd video output)

  • I got a ps3 slim on hdmi Cable. and It works Fine. but my HDMI cable cost $50 and got full 1080p support a gold colour inputs. also I got a cheaper HDMI cable cost $20 The same problem. It not the ps3 it's the HDMI Cord.

  • first of all your hdmi cord looks like you only paid $10 for it. go to best buy and ask for a rocketfish hdmi cord for the ps3 its going run about $50 but its worth it! its a little thicker than that one you got, the thicker the better, some hdtv's are supposed to use thicker ones and YES IT DOES MATTER!! o yea, ashthegreat takes it up the ass every night!! thats why he leaves neggitive comments.

  • NEVER LEAVE UR PS3 ON THE FLOOR!

  • why ps3 not like 360

  • true

  • hold the power button (while ps3 is in stand by mode which is the red light) and stop holding it until you hear one beep

  • With the PS3 in stand by mode Press and hold the power button for 5 secs.. (until you hear the second beep) this cause the PS3 to reset the display properties back to 480i..follow the onscreen instructions to set it back up to 1080i.

This only resets the PS3 display settings, nothing else.

  • i ve got the same problem man , but with my xbox 360 , i send to the repair and they chenged the motherboard =(

  • como ke no le resiste el hd eso si son mentiras tuyas baboso

  • change the resolution

  • The PS3 is set up to your monitor so u have to reset it to your TV it will say the Found an HDMI cable something something Something do you want to use it say yes then will ask want to use it for audio and video and say yes then everything will be fine just fallow the steps i gave you and let me know if it worked

  • OOOOOO both TV and PS3 have to be off when pluging in the cables.... Then first turn on TV then do what i said on the next Step

  • i had the same problem as you what i did is what CSpannerz did and it worked for me.....

have the playstation 3 off and the HDMI cable pluged into the TV and in the Playstation..Then id your playstation if off ( red light is on ) the hold down the power button down the lights will turn green and blue but keep holding the power button down until the light turns back to red ( off ) the wait for like 2-3 seconds then power back on what that does it set the playstation back to normal video settings

  • Bud, I think sorullo79 has a point. Is it a HD compatible HDMI Cable? But firstly, two things... 1, is the cable going near any high voltage cables? it could explain the interference making the static. Secondly, I know this sounds crazy, but I remember a friend's ps3 had the same issue with our tv - We solved it by holding down the power button for 4-5 seconds or until you hear a beep (4-5 seconds) If none of that works, buy a new HDMI cable.

  • guys is tha HDMI cable... i used to have the same problem with my Fat , and i found out that i had to buy a HDMI cable with high resolution.. so.. i did it.. and works just fine.. not all the hdmi cables support high resolution.

  • This is happing to my ps3 fat and it pisses me off so I never get to play and fuck I'm pissed it's not fair :(

  • buy on amazon u get free hdmi cable wid free game and console for £ 244 and free delivery

  • so what u just needed to buy new cable ? because if im getting my ps3 slim and that shitt is gonna happen to im not gonna buy it

  • its ok now guys. thanks to all of you. i buy a new hdmi cable. today and its works fine now. but thanks to all of you..apreciate.

  • try just connecting the hdmi cable not av cables and hdmi cables togther you dont need both of them to see a picture

  • try all you suggest ANILOMNOR thanks. but still the same.the only thing i can do is change the HDMI cable.

  • i all ready to back in default setting my tv is supported 1080p insignia. im thinking maybe the prob is my tv or the hdmi cable? im not sure. thanks guys..

  • if that doesnt work, you can connect the ps3 to the main tv, and put it back to default settings by holding the power button and dont let go until you hear a beeping sound. and this should restore back to default settings and it should detect the correct resolution for your tv.

  • i think it might be an easy fix. what is the brand of the big tv? maybe the tv does not support 1080p. and when you go from the monitor to the tv, you may need to change the resolution in order for it work. you have to lower the resolution on the ps3 while you are on the monitor before you move your ps3 over to the tv (your tv might be 720p). there is nothing wrong with the ps3. if all this doesnt work, you could put it back to default settings.

  • try change HDMI cable
