My guild downed this last week, but I have a question for you, nyxai. I did this as arcane as well, do you think it might be easier as fire? I know that switching targets quickly (like from Marrowgar to the spikes)isnt one of arcane's strong points, so would it be better to go fire or just hope that I get an MBar proc? Because by the time I switched targets and got an AB off, the spike was already dead and I was wasting time, I felt.

One of the main reasons I like most of Kyth's (and by extension, Fusion's) videos is, and this applies especially to strat videos, that they don't think the best background music is loud heavy metal that blares through the speakers and pretty much distracts you the entire explanation/video.

Most of their music selection for their videos fits quite well.

I'm not bashing the video but it would probably make more sense to redo the video with VO describing the fight and providing tactics. Without the UI and vent dialog it makes no sense.

How did you manage to record WoW without the UI? I know you said it was an accident but I think it's quite nice for this style of video. - Pallytime

It's a feature of the Macintosh WoW client: it does its own video recording if you want, and one of the options is to not recording the UI.

So I had my interface visible to me all night, but only the background got recorded. (sigh!)

And yeah, it's definitely got its own flavor. But I'd rather record the UI the first kill, and then produce "flavor" videos the next week.

@feuchster No, not in the least. Demo was worth bringing before the patch and its dps actually got buffed in 3.3. If you're raiding without a demo lock, you're doing your raid a disservice.

Maybe it just me but Demonology was never a great raiding talent. It was really good for PVP and PVE, but not raiding. I'm 0 / 13 / 58 destro and my DPS was really high. Tonight on Marrowgar I came in at #6 with 5800 dps. A fellow demon lock placed around 4700.

would you call this boss puggable, considering most pugs don't even know the concept of an aggro drop and an untauntable boss combined? is it a good entry boss? where would you position this boss between the boss encounters so far?

i'm asking this since my server has this one as first boss for weekly raid, and i don't want to get too high hopes.

@natekers This is definitely harder than ToC.

But my guess is pugs can handle Marrowgar if they're skilled.

There will end up being nerfs I'm sure though. While we one-shot everything, we're a good, practiced guild, and I think pug-wise, Icecrown isn't inherently friendly like ToC/Naxx (it's more like ulduar.)
