Critics of Paul on the Republican side are generally too lazy to become engaged with the ideas that Paul reflects and generates. Its easier to dismiss him as a loon than to attempt to explain why exactly he is wrong about issues concerning foreign policy and economic policy. Because his name is simply recognized as a symbol of reason and compromise, people give him a free pass when it comes to talking about long term military commitments overseas.

Paul's stance on Iraq is juvenile. To think that if we pull out of Iraq before a stable government is formed everything will be better, shows a serious lack of understanding. McCain knows that a long term relationship with Iraq and a military precence in the middle east will help stablize the region exactly like it did in Europe and Asia after WWII. We still have troops there and they are an important piece of global stability.

No, it is constitutional. We are not supposed to start wars. We are supposed to stay out of foreign entanglements. It's not up to us to stabilize Iraq. It is up to them. We are not the world's policemen. Our long term presence in the Middle East is tied to oil and westernizing these countries the international elitists continue along their path toward one world government.

We have been the world's police force the last century. When we don't intervine we are considered apathetic. We can so we must. Germany didn't attack us either. God help the world if the U.S. stays out of "foreign entanglements". Specifically in Iraq, we started it, we have to stabalize it. They arn't ready yet and no one else has the guts. It is not easy or quick but it has to be done. John McCain can do it.

No, we didn't start to police the war until after WWII. Anyway, these countries need to work out their own problems. We create what the CIA calls "blowback," which is country or terrorist-sponsored retribution for our involvement overseas. And I hear all this empty rhetoric about McCain, a man who wants us to be in Iraq for 100 years. The last thing we need to do is maintain an overseas empire.

The monetary costs in deploying the troops to Iraq are cheap compared to the non monetary cost of leaving before it is stabalized. It is simple but politically unpopular to pay down the debt. Reduce/ eliminate hand outs.
Blow back is not blow back. In a stabalized Iraq the non-American sentiment will subside and pro-American sentiment will spread throughout the middle east. If we pull out we will breed terorists for centuries. It can and must be done, McCain is the man to do it.

It's funny that dems are still criticizing conservatives for spreading fear. What else needs to be proven? Democracy is under attack my radicals, period. It's not Islam vs. Christianity, it's democracy vs. a group of guys that get their jollies by killing innocent people and searching for power while sporting the pretext that they act in the name of God. I think Mccain understands this, and America in general, better than any other candidate in the last 2 presidential races.

Modern republicans should move to Canada since they mistreat our ideals as a country! They are not patriotic towards America, but rather have some sort of ignorant prejudice and sense of imperialistic superiority, along with being cluttered with massive levels of gluttony. (Ron Paul, however, is the only exception who follows the old Republican values while the other Republican follow radical and absurd philosophies like Bush)
