i always knew that they had a song called gone dhootin because i have a guitar tab book tahat has it in it but i never heard the song untill i watched bevis and butthead do america lol
I can't believe how some directors result to be such STUPID as the one directing this recordings.. I mean, he completely ignored Cliff Williams and Phil Rudd was left aside during the whole jam! Man, Phil+Cliff is what makes AC/DC "hard as a rock"! They can't do that to them.. btw, that song should be renamed to "hard as AC/DC" hehe :P.
Love this version of Gone Shootin', I LOVE the way brian enjoys it and dances and air guitars to Angus.. he rocks!!
Maybe greatest ac\dc song of alltime. Greatest groove in the world, also love the old Live versions bootlegs from 70's. The tone is awesome and angus is at his best in the solo's.
i think their underrated album is fly on the wall they never said again anything about the album after its tour and ass we can see they played a lot of the songs from powerage at the VH1 and there are a lot of songs in the if you want blood
Hi and Please Let me Thank-you for posting this Great Clip from AC/DC's,"Plug Me In".Brian Johnston Lays a Great Vocal..he gives this a different edge to Bon's Great Vocal on The Powerage Album...Did I mention The Great playing By Angus,Malcolm,Cliff and Phil...Thanks.
I agree with you. Slade did play a bit fast. Like Angus said "Slade was the best musician in AC/DC." I dont think that that was a slam on him, but just that AC/DC are loose and dirty musicians. There just isnt any replacing Phill Rudd, possibly the best rock-n-roll drummer ever. I play drums, and playing AC/DC songs are harder than most people would think. Malcolm, Cliff and Phil just cant be beat as a rhythm section.
So true Slade was more of a Heavy drummer, and Phill is a true Rock N Roll drummer especially the way he plays and hits the snare drum and really just controlls the whole rhythm of the band

American Idol finalist Brian went all the way to the top and made it with AC/DC, glad Simon gave his approval AC/DC wouldn't be anything what they are today with Simon' approval. Good job Brian in filling some pretty shoes there with Bon Scott.
saw those guys last night. best show ive been to, and im comparing to priest, motorhead, megadeth, heaven and hell, deep purple, and a couple others. ac/dc blew them away
Chris Slade is an ok drummer who sucked playing for ac dc, all songs sound rushed, Phill Rudd #1 and dumn ass simon wright quit to join Dio, was a close second.
for some reason I've listened to this song for YEARS without even listening to the lyrics. The guitar riff just satisfies me somehow. One day,one day I'll actually listen to the lyrics,I'm sure they are great considering they're a Bon Scott song...
This clip shows AC/DC in their element, if you dont appreciate the groove thats powered out by these guys then, i feel sorry for you, it`s your loss, Angus & Malcolm`s style are so unique, the best riff maker`s in rock history....
Rudd's playing is in a class by itself. His groove is SO in the pocket. He's laid back and yet is totally on top of the beat. I met him on the BIB tour and threw all these technical drum questions at him, trying to figure out 'HOW' he did it. Like "Did you study with anyone?" He laughed. "Study? Are you kidding? I play this this way because its all I know how to do." No one out there like Phil, and nobody AC/DC had in his place even came close for FEEL, which is what MAKES AC/DC what they are.
WOW!! I've never even heard this song before, it flat out ROCKS!!
When it comes to straight in your face pure rock and roll, There's no one better than AC DC, some just as good (Foghat and Mother's Finest Comes to mind) but none better!
Name a current band these days that rocks like this, I'm serious I want someone to name one current band that rocks as hard as AC DC!
This from a guy named Mickey Moose. Apparently you've never played an instrument before. My comment about C. Slade being the best musician in the band was almost a direct quote fom Angus Young when they decided to bring Phil back in the band. So, I guess Angus is an imbecile also, huh? I see fuckwads are everywhere, not just here in the states.
Apart from my username mr "da324" ? lovely name? Chris Slade is an average drummer that didnt really have alot of work in ACDC, Rudd is perfect for the band and has a much more fitting and involving style of playing than any of the others... Angus and malcolm are the real genius's in the band...Slade doesnt have a look in!
I agree with you about Phil Rudd, Angus, and Malcolm. I'm just stating what Angus has said many times after they let Slade go when Phil decided to rejoin the band. I do however, disagree that Chris Slade is average. If he's good enough to play with Jimmy Page, Paul Rodgers, AC/DC etc.. that hardly makes him average, unless, you think those people he has played with are average.
I'm gonna have to jump in here and say that Chris Slade DID have a part in one of AC/DC's greatest albums coming out of the Johnson Era (The Razor's Edge). But with that set aside, they're both great drummers. Just Chris could continue the work Phil had begun.
In my opinion Phil's "Simple" drumming goes over any other drummer....his Rock N'Roll beat drives me all over the place...Impossible to describe how kickass...!
do u have the other version of Gone Shootin.. the one from the Uncut dvd?? imo the intro on that one is wayyy better.. it would be awesome if u could post it :)
