  • Magnetic South is my favourite album of all time. The CD coupling it with Loose Salute is never far from my CD player.

  • I just bought this album (Loose Salute) on vinyl I cant wait for it to come!!!!!! im exited to listen to it :)

  • Great photo combi for a great track! Nez and the boys were the Country Rock Pioneers! Gotta love 'em!

  • @anirtak65 Nez had one of the most inventive minds in music, guess it ran in the family. His mother was the inventor of Liquid Paper. Had to make a playlist for him when I realized what a genius he was. Just invitin ya to stop by & see his list & 800 more covering every year since 1900. Anybody know what year this was recorded? chuck

  • Nothing wrong with pictures of Nez....

  • very nice job Ashley. He can cover anything.

  • Red Rhodes pedal steel sets the standard for others to emulate.

  • @tomnorman457 Back when these were cut in 1970, Nez refused to do these with FNB unless Red Rhodes was a part of it! His talent was amazing - music, comedy, video production . . . he had the same type of mind as Walt Disney. One would think Patsy 'owned' this, that no one else should even try, yet Mike & FNB pull this off brilliantly! Pop over & see my newest featured vid, Nez's 1985 'Eldorado to the Moon'.

  • I agree with zxc550, it is brilliant no other singer could better Mr M Nesmith's cover of this Patsy Cline song

  • Well done, Ashley. Thanks for sharing.

  • Good remake of a classic. Who better? These photos worked just fine. Thanks for sharing.

  • I love this song - thanks for posting, and shame on me for taking so long to find it!

  • If anyone has either "Roll with the Flow" or "Dedicated Friend"...please post them.

  • @infanttyrone1

I tried to upload "Roll with the Flow" but it didn't work, I could send you the song if you like? It's one of my favourites :D

  • Thanks, but I located a 2-CD set with all of FNB's stuff.

I'll be picking it up later this month. It should be available on Nez's ranch site if you're missing anything.

    Thanks again

  • I didnt like the original due to the fact i dont like country but mike nesmith is an exeption he is great with or without the monkees

  • This is outstanding, listening to Mike's version of a great Patsy Cline song!

  • FUNKY DO AND NICE INDEED...

  • Very fun to see this video. John Ware, FNB's drummer, is now my drummer in our band Reckless Red. He's still a legendary player. - CJ

  • After years of listening to Michael's country songs on the various Monkees albums, I got the Michael Nesmith cd "Silver Moon".

Great song, great video. Good job.

  • Ashley, that concert picture of Nez and FNB at 2:28 is so cool! Only picture of them playing live that I've ever seen. People who saw them live were lucky. What a kickin' band. By the way "Red" Rhodes made a solo steel guitar album that's mighty fine.

  • Michael is a genius, in every sense of the word. Its a shame he was never given enough credit or exposure.

    LONG LIVE NEZ!

  • I first watched this like a week ago, and I've been dying to hear this song again ever since. :)

  • I always liked the song Joann.

  • Michael Nesmith and The First National Band-when they got together, Ringo was with him-there's a picture of the two of them together and it looks really good-it was taken in Nashville because Ringo was there recording some stuff-I love all of Michael's songs in being his truly devoted #1 fan

  • fantastic! any chance of a vid for "grand ennui," or "little red ryder," or "beyond the blue horizon?"

hey, i want it all! thanks for posting all you have so far. peace.

  • hey could u send me the video please I love these pics thanks

  • as a gift from me to you, I'll give you my subscription of it since I have it on my favorites list-the pictures are really good of the whole time period and his cover of Patsy Cline is phenomenal

  • Michael's music is inspiring to listen to

  • Yeah, First National Band only were a little bit famous cause of Mike most likley
