I have seen the notebook and I only seem to like it when I am feeling especially forever alone. The acting in it could have been better. Ryan Gosling was cool, but I agree with how annoying you found Rachel McAdams. The only movie I have liked her in was Mean Girls.

Of all the chick flicks I have seen, The Notebook is definitely in the top few. Have you seen She's the Man? That movie is so funny, and would be funny for guys too.

I watched this movie when if first came out and cried almost the whole time

I was really into it, really really. I guess it's just what a simple lady wants.

That is, not much focus on anything but the romantic relationships.

Do you know that Ryan and Rachel are from the same town in Ontario and the same age?

Why didn't you review the other (and more current) quintessential chick-flick "Rise of the Planet of the Apes" - all 'chicks' dig James Franco and feel for him in his struggle to save his father. Then again, there is that under-themed animal world argument between the 'chicks' and apes of why did he experiment on apes instead of chickens.

Saw the notebook over Christmas break for the first time lol ik I'm so late. But it wasn't worth all the hype cuz it wasn't as good as inception or toy story. And I didn't cry...not cuz I'm unemotional (some YouTube visa can make me cry) but cuz i was expecting it to be a lot sadder. Overall a pretty good movie but I don't think it lives up to how much ppl praise it

I don't think I've watched all of The Notebook...I think I kept falling asleep. As a girl saying that, I think I know a few who might kill me for saying that XD. But I will admit that some parts with Ryan Gosling were good. Also the, "I did. I wrote you 365 letters." "Buwhaaaaa?", is a better reaction in my opinion.
