This game was ahead of its time. No other game had the graphics like this one. It also took a long time to beat the game and was ALWAYS replayable. Even today.

Nothing is worse than an underwater level with a fixed camera.

That level lead to the destruction of more than a few controllers.

If you think World 7 is hard, try playing in on the original Japanese version. I was playing it on my Famicom last night, and the fact that you turn back into small Mario no matter what makes it really aggravating.

I play this at my local Don Kiyote (they have the game in their cheap knock of Famicoms as a demo for the console). I've only been able to get to world 7 stage 4/5 before seeing the game over screen so many times that it makes me give up.

For one the Giant fish that thing was annoying as HELL! Also I hate water levels hard to move and not fun at all. It was a hard and boring ass level it you ask me i think world 3 and 4 should have switched in levels world 3 should have had 6 and 4 9

The most annoying world in the game. That big red plant on world 7 I can NEVER figure out how to do that level so I allways end up using the whistle I get form world 2 on this world to take me to world 8.

I know what you mean. Usually, i just play worlds 1-5 and if I ever want to play World 8, I just use the magic whistles from W1 and W2. I always skip 6 and 7 because they just drain your items which makes it impossible to get thru World 8.
