  • I washed my hamster when I was a kid, too. Not a good thing to do, but they do start smelling like urine after a while.

  • lol really cute. and i wouldnt say its cruelty. cruelty would be when people dont get their hamster out at all to play and leave them in their cage all day. if this hamster didnt like this it would be more panicky (sp?) than what it is being. i think this hammy is just playing and having some fun =D

  • its not cruel at all. i put mines in there so i can wash it. and i no dis was long ago but the guy/gal who reported it to peta, dont. just dont. in fact everyone. dont. peeps can get into a lot of trouble for innocent things. its just a waste of time. i no that if someone took my cinemin (my hammy) because i put it in the sink to wash it i would cry for days. jeez. it wasnt tortured, starved, neglected, or beaten. so dont. just dont!

  • you're not supposed to wash hamsters...they clean themselves. You you try washing them, or get them really wet, they can catch a chill and die

  • i wash muines coz it pisses on itself. if theres such a thing as hamster shampoo then that indicates to me like u sposta wash them. i obviously dry it properly, and if i knew u wernt sposta wash them then i woldnt but the pet store owner told me to so...

  • lol!! My hamster is EXTREMELY fat, it has a hard time gettin up n down its tube. This seems like a way to make it excercise...I put it in it's ball and it just sleeps in it. It wont use the wheel. only will sit on it.
