wow, I haven't heard it this slow before. It's a totally different song with the slower tempo- I do like it though. What's up with the spazzy recording? lol.
I suppose it's nice to hear different interpretations of music, but I was not fond of this at all. To me it felt passionless. In my opinion, the inner parts could not be heard well, the diction needs a bit of polishing, and the tempo feels, well, not quite right.
Also, what is up with the wall behind them? Hehehe, it's certainly... 'interesting' in appearance, that's for sure...
Thanks for uploading this, it's given me some things to think about. :)
This performance was done for a dinner done by the choir every year. They have been serving people since 8 and doing little performances of their own. By the time this was done, it was past 11 pm eastern. I am sure they didn't feel very comfortable in the tight space either.
The wall the the background is a mural done by an art class in 1979. It is the last mural in the cafe and is left because it has been added to over the years.
That is the way they have always done this piece . They performed this for the ACDA Championships and took the competition along with the rest of the choirs from the high school. They are undefeated for 8 years now.
Yes this is a full chorus with a few missing. Or what you would call a full chours. They consist of 78 high school students. I think 78 is the correct number. The total choir when everyone from the high school is combined is over 300.
the beginning is pretty scary
